No issue with the doctors/nurses just very poor reception staff and lack of organisation. Failed to have all of my records up to date. When I was away from university, I left my other packet of medication miles away due to an unexpected lockdown. Contacted about the issue several times asking for a new prescription to my local pharmacy. Rejected the request due to already having a supply, which I already explained I had no access to this supply. Contacted them again and had no update from the “medical manager” like they said I would and was hung up on. Contacted again, no update and the receptionist told me to phone her back the next day for an update. Phoned the next day at 14:00 as she said to. Turns out she left work early so I couldn’t speak to her, and I am still waiting for my prescription as we speak. Starting to feel really bad. Changing my GP because this isn’t the first time something so simple was made so complicated. Also, some of the receptionists are really rude. *UPDATE* Due to such a long wait of my medication, unfortunately I was very unwell and I am still experiencing side effects. Even receptionists have no idea the impact they cause.

I was finally able to get a doctor to help my daughter in this medical center after her many phone calls and cries for help that were just not heard. They literally kept dismissing her. It took me having to call over seas and beg but in the end, they did follow through with an earlier appointment and a referral for an X-ray and that is why I have changed my review. I only wish they had listened to her and trusted that she knew her body and that something just wasn’t right. I understand that these doctors have a lot on their plate right now but every patient matters and they should feel that when they are in the presence of their doctor and nurses. My daughter did not. I hope moving forward, she will have a better experience with Garden Lane Medical Center. I also hope this center will show a bit more empathy towards patients on the future.

The worst medical system I've ever seen! They don't give you medicine, they hope they only solve everything over the phone, and that's when someone answers the phone! I went to the emergency room, I waited 9 hours for him to tell me anything! They are useless! I'm not saying they're all useless, but there are so many! Emergency sends you to GP for further investigation, GP sends you to emergency! The only solution is to go home and control yourself! Folks, what is happening to you, there are other diseases besides Covid 19, people are dying of other diseases!

Really understaffed, lack of appointments, poor record keeping and knowledge of patients health records. Told to put query in an email and inbox checked every day. A lot of the best doctors have left. If it is then it’s just ignored as sent several. Wouldn’t recommend. Nurses good but back office needs to rapidly improve as putting patients overall care and health at risk

Absolutely terrible practice, Doctors who don't complete full notes on your records , receptionist who think there god and then there's the incredibly rude and grotesque office manager who believes she knows best and the opposite is true who , practice managers who dont work on Fridays , and other members of staff who have early darts so after 3pm there is zero chance of any help. if you value your health please stay well clear of this practice, it's all about money over patient care unfortunately,

Ive never had any problems getting appointments. My dr s meachim always makes time to listen and helps with making plans of what you do next, shes looked after me for 6years will be sad when she leaves. The nurses here have always looked after me with blood tests, smears(embarrassing) but they make you feel relaxed and any other little thing they can help with they do.

We visited this surgery in the past couple of weeks twice but the last time the practitioner nurse were hurrible we were desgusted by her attitude and sagestion. She told us to buy medicine from Poundland. It felt like she was extremely racist and up her noise person who don't want us to be under the NHS service. What kind of so called professional ask you to buy meducation from Poundland. I would never visit this surgery nor I would recommend it to anyone being foreign is not probleim being racist is a crime. We will see them at every profession.

You can't just say "your condition is incurable" in a cold and detached way without even giving the person any idea on how to cope mentally with that news. Quite frankly anyone who thinks it's ok to say such destructive news in such a dismissive offhand fashion should be sacked from the NHS

Ridiculous wait times everytime I go with no apologies from the staff that have plenty of time to joke and hug behind reception. Also receptionists manner on the phone is terrible. They try to diagnose you and then they are dismissive. Worst GP surgery in Chester. An ever rotating door of doctors that never seem to stay long. I haven't seen the same doctor more then once in over 5 years. Makes matters more confusing when returning over the same illness.

Called in today to have my routine bloods taken. I was seen by Gaynor Evans I have to say she was amazing friendly put me at ease as each time I have my bloods it is very difficult to be taken. For Gaynor Evans today no problem. I felt no pain and bloods were taken with ease.Thank you Gaynor for your excellent service and kindness. Regards Janet

Absolutely ridiculous this practice! I filled in a registration form MORE THAN A MONTH ago. A week later someone left a voicemail to say there was an issue with my registration form. No name was left or what the issue was. I rang back and nobody had a clue what the issue was. They said they would ring me back and nobody did! I rang back the day after and again the same issue nobody had a clue and I was told I would be rung back. I wasn't. I rang back again 2 days later. No one knew what was wrong and said they would call back. 10 DAYS LATER and once again I rang them. Again "we will call you back later" surprise surprise no call back. I left it a full 7 days and once again no phone call. I rang again this morning and once again was told I would be rang back. No call back. I rang again and once again nobody has a clue and I have been told I HAVE TO COME IN and do another registration form. The staff need better training and better communication skills!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND INCOMPETENT!!!

In 34 years as a patient with Garden Lane (formerly Hunter Street) I have received nothing but kindness and the benefits of the great expertise of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, phlebotomists and clerical staff alike. It is not overstating the case to say that prompt action on the part of one of the doctors at Garden Lane went a long way towards saving my life a few years ago, and they have seen our three (now young adult) children into the world and launched into life hale and hearty. Our grateful thanks to them all!

I have had a very good experience with Garden Lane Medical Centre. Firstly, I found the receptionist to be very friendly and helpful and made a great effort to find me an appointment and a follow up appointment as required. Secondly, I found Dr. Buck to be kind, informative and covered all bases when having me checked out. If there are any down sides, it's that longer waiting times seem part and parcel of the system now - however, I place the blame firmly in the hands of the Tories who seem intent on decimating the NHS. I feel grateful to the staff I dealt with at Garden Lane Medical Centre.

I am originally from North Wales move to Chester 5 years ago and registered with this practice, I've had a few rude encounters with the doctors one time I saw Doctor Shergill who had a very rude towards me i felt like she didn't care at all and wasn't bothered about getting me any treatment I required, every time I go there they seem to have new reception staff and some are very rude, I just feel that this practice in general do not care about patients feelings.

If you have a child under 6 year registered to this clinic. Strongly recommend to stay away or go for second opinion. Doctor tried to prescribe my 4 year old son Steroid for skin allergy. On refusal she replied “ oh it’s just for 7 days”! And instead prescribed antibiotics. This clearly showed that she had no idea what so ever about treatment. #NoSteriodto children

I had made a few appointments one after another for my 15 month old baby as he kept falling poorly, coughing, high temperature of 39c at one point! to be told it’s a viral infection all the time! I swear that’s all they say to parents with children! I had made another appointment to see dr fisher to be told its all viral again but something wasn’t feeling right .. Mothers gut instinct is always right! I couldn’t accept that it was just a viral infection so I made another appointment! I then took my 15 month old baby home to later on that night have to call ambulance out because he is struggling to breathe due to having CROUP!! My 15 month old was taken into hospital that night and had some medication to open his airways! I would not take my children to this doctors ever again. Some one the doctors and nurses ( not all) just think they know best!

Had a consultation with a lovely Doctor. He suggested what he thought might be causing my medical problem. The Centre had a completely different atmosphere to my regular Doctor’s surgery. Wish I could register with them.

The receptionist that dealt with me was awesome (i think she said her name was antina). She was kind, friendly and non dismissive and helped me sort out a problem I was quite worried about straight away, unreal lady.
