This place is the most awesome establishment I've visited in a long time. The food was absolutely the best I've had, and the ice cream is out of this world. The staff is very courteous and happy. They make your experience a real pleasure. My family and I returned the next day for breakfast, and they didn't disappoint. They also have a gift shop attached to the restaurant and it is very reasonably priced.

Kinda like The Silo and Papa's Diner. Great food, and fancy casual atmosphere with a gift shop👍 My travel ambassador friend says it's the only restaurant that gets everything right, including the soup temperature.

Good selections for such a small place. There's a candy store/souvenir shop on the same floor and a full-on gift-shop/souvenir shop upstairs (no elevator) with many local-made/handmade gifts. There's some outdoor eating tables under a tent. There's even a few (four?) historic grave-markers over to the far side of the parking lot for history buffs.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! My husband said the chester omelet with cheddar jalapeno bread will not disappoint. The aloha sandwich was a different but tasty twist on an average breakfast sandwich.

(Translated by Google) A charming place, where you can eat good products. Salads, soups, sandwiches (hearty), burgers, and of course ice cream. They have their vegetable garden, visible at the back. Children's menus available. The interior decor is very American, you can also eat outside in the shade. A good address!

Best little soda shop we've been too! The food was fantastic but the service needs some work! We will definitely be back here!

Top notch from the very friendly owner who can and talked with us a few times during a very busy lunch service, to excellent food. The sandwiches offered here felt and tasted like your mom made them. Good tasting, full of flavor and love. The pie and ice cream were delicious as well. Too bad we live 200 miles away or we would be here multiple times a week.

Excellent! Great atmosphere really nice staff. Ordered food to go for myself and my staff. I don't live in the area, my staff and I were working in the area and needed to eat. The place was recommended. The food was delicious! We ate Turkey clubs, burger, and they offered us a apple pie dessert, THANK YOU! I will return to this town with my family at a later date to visit and taking them to eat here.

An old fashion diner place with warm owners and waiters. The decorations are very cute and festive. There are also some local gourmets and crafted souvenirs:) By the way, the owner also owns the Chester Inn on the next door.

This place is perfection! The food here is amazing, every time. We love shopping in their unique gift shop upstairs. The owners, Helena and Bruce couldn't be any kinder or more welcoming. Always a 5 star experience, thank you!

This place is a must. Service lost a star because it took a little longer than I expected to place our order, otherwise service was 5 star too. Food is unbelievable. What a hidden gem of a spot for fantastic food and Americana atmosphere in the Adirondacks.

My favorite place in the area of Chestertown; every time I go I enjoy so much. Their soups are so tasty, and their sandwiches. The Madelein option is great. Always busy place, make sure you come with time, and wait, it’s worth. They have parking on the back. Their store has plenty of gifts and souvenirs.

Stopped by here for lunch on our way back to NY. It's a nice place with vintage feel. The place was busy but the staff are friendly. We got a few sandwiches and a soup. The sandwiches come with a small side, we chose golden beet salad, it was delicious! We had turkey sandwich with cranberry aioli, roast beef sandwich, beef barley soup and smoked salmon sandwich. All of them were really fresh and delicious! We also got a coffee flavored ice cream with Heath candies and coffee shake. It was a good dessert after a delicious lunch. I'd stop by again if I am ever in the area.

My husband and I found Main Street Ice Cream Parlor by accident driving around while on vacation about 6 years ago. We now go every year. The food and service is great! Staff is always pleasant!!! It helps that there is a quaint shop upstairs where you will not leave empty handed!! We look forward to going back next year.

Fun place to stop for a bite. Love to sit in the Adirondack chairs out front while eating ice cream. They were very busy the night we visited but every employee was hustling to make sure the customers were being helped.

We always love to visit the ICP. They make terrific sandwiches and is one of the few sandwich joints in the area that has Gluten Free bread for my wife. The salmon BLT on the breakfast menu is amazing. Plus, the ice cream and pie are top notch. Try the peach berry pie!

Vegetarian? Not too many options around, but THIS place has an amazing black bean burger. Friendly service, spacious outdoor seating (great social distancing), and good food. I would have taken a picture of the food, but we devoured it.

If you haven’t been you have to go. Even now they go above and beyond. We went with the whole family and had a wonderful time. The owner cares about every guest and makes moments special where ever possible.

Stopped in for a quick lunch I wasn't really expecting much for a sandwich shop , but I was incredibly impressed with the quality of their food.

Walking in here is like taking a step back in time! This place has that nostalgic atmosphere of when Coke was king and soda jerks served. The waitresses were all very nice and the prices were reasonable. We only went for ice-cream and it was delicious. Very creamy and full of flavor. The gift shop upstairs had plenty of goodies to choose from! The Adirondack soap they sell smells amazing! Well, at least to an outdoor enthusiast like myself. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome place for gifts and excellent food. I only gave a 4 because I was disappointed in the lobster and shrimp bisque soup. $6 for a bowl of liquid with a small shrimp (not even whole & the same with the lobster). Food is usually delicious and homemade.

The first time I stepped foot in this restaurant was in 2016. It was a memorable trip for me. We stayed in Chestertown because we hard a lot about the cabins there and we wanted to tried it out. I fell in love with the area and the people. It was difficult for us to find places to eat because there is not much around. Until we found the ice cream parlor. It was magestic. From the food they server, the decor, the service, the entire place is just like a vacation. The owner is an amazingly kind lady. I met her for the first time 2 weeks ago. Lovely lady. It’s a family business and it shows. I live in NYC but anytime I am in the area I stop by to eat whatever they are cooking that day. When COVID hit I was actually worried about their business. I just want to thank you all for being such wonderful people and you guys left such an impression that I drive 50 miles out of my way just to stop by and eat. God Bless you all! The food is always amazing and top notch. There is a lot of young people working there as well and they are raised so well. Very polite females and the cooks are also nice guys. I love you all!

Had great ice cream sundays. The service was quick and nothing on their menu was very expensive. Looks like they do breakfast and lunch, so we may come back for breakfast one day while we're in town.

Truly a gem, the chicken and broccoli sandwich was incredible, and I’ve never had one before. The turkey and cranberry sandwich was also lovely and it was lighter fare than the chicken and broccoli sandwich. Also we had a maple walnut shake which is my favorite flavor and that also was delicious. Tables outside are spaced appropriately for coronavirus and service was very good.
