So after reading reviews on The Original Papa Joe's I thought I would give it a try. Now almost every review I read was for dinning in and that might have been the issue. I looked up there menu on There wedsite and placed my order. " I'll get back to that" Was greeted nice on the phone Ordered Create your pasta Capellini and vodka sauce, 2 meat balls, garlic bread, Mozzarella bites, soup, and tiramisu, I was told 30mins if I pick up or 40mins if I have them deliver. I normally just pick it up but today I said ok deliver it. 1st issue, didn't get my food till 1hr and 10mins later after I had to call and find out where it was! I received my order and we'll the pasta was still warm Not hot!! The mozzarella was ok again warm not hot, the garlic bread I couldn't even eat as it was So hard like someone placed in a microwave after Frozen and reheated it, A waste of money! The meatballs were still Cold in the Center! The tarimasu which for the price is Very small as you can see and tasted like it's been sitting in a fridge for a long time! The sides of it which should be fresh was like rubber! I know you can't expect for everything to be perfect when you order take out but it should be FRESH since this is one of the things they pride themselves on!! this was just bad! The Pasta was the ONLY thing that was ok! So I spent $42 for pasta WTH! and as I said at the beginning I'll get back to the menu. Well turns out the prices on there Web page which is there menu are not correct either evidently they don't update there Web menu I've attached a screenshot straight from there site and a picture of the one I was given when delivered. I get prices go up and it's not much but it would have been nice to know! Not sure I can recommend this place? Maybe it's better there but not sure I would spend the money again to find out.

Food and service were excellent. However, the owner needs to step up and hire more workers. Two waitresses had several tables to serve, plus tend bar, answer phones and clear off tables. Were running in all directions. Hope he's paying them enough for all the work they had to do.

You would be hard pressed to find anything negative to say about this establishment, from the excellent service to the delicious food, it far exceeds expectations. As we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by an exceptional young man named Adrian who is part owner, as well as playing a vital roll in every aspect of daily operations. Despite being very busy and on a dinner rush, the pizza was cooked to perfection and came out in a timely manner. I will certainly be returning, as well as urging friends and family to give it a try.

Been about 15 years since being back and it was just like I remembered. New owners are great guy especially Adrian, guy does it all. Service was great despite them being crowded. Big bowl of crème of chicken soup was great, as well as the pizza. Tasted exactly how I remembered, will be back.

I cannot praise Papa Joe’s staff enough for our experience last night. We wanted to take our parents out for a special anniversary meal, but were hesitant because the service industry is struggling to provide good food with an enjoyable experience since Covid lockdowns. It’s generally just not worth the trouble or expense to eat out anymore. However, we were served delicious meals, brought to us by a lovely and capable server, Izzy, who expertly balanced being around when we needed her but leaving us to enjoy our family time when we didn’t. Also, the price point cannot be beat. The pasta dishes were the same generous portions we’ve had at Papa Joe’s for the last 30 years, and they haven’t raised prices or added charges to pay their kitchen staff the way other restaurants have. Many thanks to all the staff for providing a wonderful memory for my parents on their special day. Keep doing what you do!

What an experience start to finish! The drinks, food, service and atmosphere were all incredible. Variety of drinks to choose from whether you’re a beer person, wine, or hard liquor. The food gives you a home-like feeling and offers a total variety to curb any craving you may have on a week night or weekend such as pasta dishes, delicious pizza, wings, sausage & peppers, calamari, mozzarella bites and more. Totally recommend the sausage & peppers appetizer, pizza and any pasta dish or special for that day! If you’re not a pasta person or don’t want anything that heavy, get the burger with grilled onion — OMG. So good. The service has been incredible each time we’ve dined there. Adrian always checked in and makes sure we’re enjoying our experience with our food & drinks and dining experience in general, and Denise is great! She has been our waitress each time and she goes absolutely above and beyond and even treated us to some “house specialty” shots! The new and fresh paint job and multiple TVs everywhere offer such a bright and more lively environment and feels so much cozier and fun! Totally recommend!

Catered from Papa Joe's (again). The baked vodka sauce was excellent. The Garbage salad was fresh and delicious.

I've had up's and downs with this Papa Joe's but my last experience brought it full circle back to how amazing they used to be (before they made everything a la cart). I have always gotten the chicken tetrazzini. The past few times it tasted like boiled chicken and wasn't great. It had been maybe 2 years and I finally went back for a family party. The chicken was fantastic, just like old times. I had to stop myself from eating too much because the portions are huge!!! And the bread!! Their service is always top notch. It's like getting service from your aunt that you're visiting out of town. I'm sad that I've moved away and will only be back now for family dinner but I cannot wait to be back.

I had a funeral luncheon here a few years ago and everything was excellent. Recently I catered food for a graduation party. Food arrived a little EARLY (pleasant surprise) and piping hot. I was disappointed that the Vesuvio Potatoes I ordered were in a brown gravy, I expected olive oil and Italian spices. I called the next day and was told that their Vesuvio recipe is a rustic brown and garlic, although they were good, when I placed the order I was not told there were 2 types, nor was a choice shown on the catering sheet I received. They asked what they could do, I told them I wanted left overs for a Father's Day Barbecue (the next day) and they asked if they could DELIVER a half pan of the traditional Vesuvio style potates, complimentary!! They came quickly, were piping hot again and delicious. They were friendly and great to deal with. Will definitely use them again.

Last weekend my wife and I had a birthday party for my daughter and we invited 20 of her friends. We had our own special area which was great. Denise, the host did a spectacular job in setting up all the pizzas at the tables. The pizzas were great, everybody remarked how delicious they tasted. The service was exceptional and everyone had an awesome time. We will be back again soon!

Down to earth neighborhood place. Very good food, unpretentious, and large portions. Service was great and very personable. Plan to put this one in the rotation of "go-tos"!

We had my mother's 70th here and they were amazing! Wonderful service, great food and lovely atmosphere. We are so pleased with the whole experience. Thank you so much, we had a truly wonderful time.

My experience with this restaurant is that the food they delivered to me was day old. Vesuvio potatoes were old and grey. Mustaccoli and sauce was horrible tasting. The beef sandwich was drenched when I asked not to dip. I said no peppers. They drenched sandwich in burned peppers. I had them come back and pick this up. The canola was gross after me asking if their canoli was fresh. I paid 37 dollars for horrible take out. McDs is better. Thanks Niko for managing a horrible Italian style restaurant - questionable.

I ordered delivery which I should have known better not to order calamari fried. It was rubbery and no tentacles which are my favorite parts. The aglio oglo was so so. No flavor Really. I asked what the special was and was told pastas and she told me what kinds and I placed my order. I was charged regular dinner price. Only a minimal difference but I was just told your special price.. not happy 😒 Going back to my original complaint, the owner called me to apologize for the inconvenience and gave me a $15.00. Credit. So I decided to collect on the credit and called. The lady said the owner had to call me back when he gets back to restaurant. Ok. I'm still waiting for 5 weeks now. I tried to give you a second chance and waited patiently but now you are totally OFF my radar. Thanks anyways. Better resturants out there for our business.

Awesome place!! Food was super flavorful and delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. Kudos to Adrian, one of the owners, for the exceptional service. He went above and beyond for us and I can tell he makes his customers feel appreciated.

I came here Wednesday night with my three grandchildren and sister. The food is absolutely amazing. Lasagna, chicken parm, pizza everything was perfection. Our tag team waitresses were outstanding 👏 excellent kiddos menu too!! We love this place. Thank you 😊 💓

I just ordered gluten free noodle with sauce online. Went to go pick it up and had to wait an extra ten minutes, when the order took 25-30 minutes to be done. Wasn’t busy in there at all. When I got home to eat they didn’t even drain all the water from the pasta and the noodles were very soggy, and everything was watery. For gluten free noodles it’s a 2$ extra charge. This was not worth the 17$ I feel that they rushed my food. I love papa joes but this was a mess.

We had friends over and ordered the chicken tetrazzini. We also ordered the Italian sausage and peppers. Everything was very good. Order came on time and very friendly service.

I love the daily specials Papa Joes offers! Being retired it helps mostly when my wife and I are lost of what to make for dinner and the prices are great! 👍😁

I am a fan of this place. I love the bread and mozzarella bites. My friend always orders a pizza to take home. I have only ever had their pasta dishes. Apparently the Chicken Tetrazzini is is amazing, it has mushrooms so a hard no for me. Local favorite.

Nice, quiet, comfortable clean restaurant. Great food at very reasonable prices. The service was above average. Arrived later than expected for reservation due to delay of previous engagement. Called ahead and hostess was very understanding and accommodating. Even allowed me add to our original guest res. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely Easter brunch with 14 of us together in one room. Our waitress was amazing and the platters of food just kept coming. It was so nice to eat out without the work and clean up at home.

My dad and I always go here when I visit because it's delicious! We even saw a psychic there once. Great place. Recently I forgot my purse on a chair and they were all so helpful, letting me get it outside their open hours. These are good people!

We haven't been to Pappa Joe's since they closed the one on Cicero. We came after church and unfortunately it didn't have the same or anywhere near the vibe or feel of the original. Food was good but service was not what it should have been. Well, for at least our table. Only two of us and to be honest, we almost got up and paid for our drinks and were gonna leave but again unfortunately we probably won't dine in. Maybe order the pizza for take out but no more dine in. I also understand the short staff issue but to wait almost 20 minutes to get order placed was not good. No matter how you look at it.

Ordered a small pepperoni pizza and asked for it well done. Well it was not well done. It was cold when it was delivered. The flavor was very bland the cheese and pepperoni were tasteless what a waste of $20 for a small pizza Will never order from there again Not worth the money.

On last week I purchased an Italian beef and an order of fries. The Italian beef was succulent as it exceeded my expectations. On the other hand, I was given fries that were prepared upon opening. They were totally inedible. I was quite disappointed 😞

I've been a loyal customer here over 10 years. Have catered from them every year for Christmas. This year they put their catering deadline was today the 17th. No other stipulations. Today I call to place my order and they say they can only cater like 4 things and all have to be cold. They were unable to accommodate our family despite our many years of buisness. We will gladly take our buisness and loyalty elsewhere.

I had the corn beef and cabbage today. It was the best I ever had. Plus the plate was HUGE. Great job.

We had our Mother's funeral luncheon in there we had a very good crowd of people we were amazed of how attentive they were to everybody that were lined up for drinks. Our servers Denise and Mary there were a couple more but unfortunately I don't remember their names and the owners were present everybody was so accommodating the food was amazing everyone left full and happy I would highly recommend! Great pizza. It was really good. Servers were very attentive and funny. Mixed drinks were generous and my niece smashed her burger, absolutely loved it. Free parking with alot of space. If you do slots, they have them too off in a nice little area not right in your face. Fun place.

Sept 2021 we tried the meat lasagna, a combo w sweet peppers- delicious. Great covid protocol. Friendly staff
