Great little coffee shop. Music not too loud, fun fire engine motif, wifi is good, and very clean. Do rite donuts and pastries smack. Seating is a little limited. They also sell records which is fun.

Walk in and be welcomed by friendly faces, awesome coffee from Big Shoulders, including drip, cold brew and espresso drinks, as well as sweets and canned drinks to boot. The platformed tables in the front are perfect for people watching or reading in natural light. The larger 4-person tables in the back are perfect for a meetup or a working environment. There's also a large 8-person in the back. As of this review, they're about 6 weeks old, and already have everything fine tuned, which is music to any café lover's ears.

Great coffee and pastry shop. Quiet and pleasant in side, my favorite place to work for a few hours in the morning with great coffee. Barista knows how to make it all and is talented at the espresso machine. Check it out!

Great spot, delicious coffee! They have everything you need - cold brews, chai, espresso, lattes, food from aya bakery, Kid friendly. It was nice to stop in this morning

Decided to stop in on a early Saturday morning for a cup of coffee. There was only one employee there (I was patient) 🙂 Good coffee and donut, and coffee shop. Maybe next time I’ll sit and stay a spell. ☕️

Cute spot, great music, really good coffee. Limited food options, but decent! Didn’t love staff that was handling food playing with dogs and not washing their hands.

Another great shop! Pretty basic somewhat bare bones decor, but it has a really awesome, no pretense, city vibe. It’s cool without trying to be - which is the definition of cool, right? Great music (experimental pop, soul, easy-listening funk, Burt Bacharach, mashup) and really delicious coffee and donut. My first impression was kinda meh, but I left loving it.

My recent go-to for 7am coffee. Here you will find them brewing locally roasted Broad Shoulders coffee beans, and serving Do Right donuts and Cafe Tola empanadas. Some records available for purchase depending on the day. What makes Engine coffee is it’s down to earth industrial feel. Prices are reasonable, quality is high. In the morning this is a good place to center yourself and sit for a while. The baristas seem to have control of the music which is always a perk in my book. I could see this being a nice place to read or get some work done as well.

Great little coffee shop. My friend and I were staying at an Airbnb close by and some time to spare before going to the airport. Was pleased that they offered plant based milk alternatives for their lattes and they even offered a vegan chocolate donut

Great coffee, pastries, tacos and empanadas served by kind staff. There is a lot of room to sit and work and the staff is really nice and welcoming to the whole family. If you have a dog, you can order at the counter and sit on the couple of tables at the front of the shop.

The baristas here know what they’re doing. No gimmicks, no cool kid attitude, just a comfy, down-to-earth atmosphere and really good coffee. My favorite third wave shop in the area, hands down. (Photo is of an oat milk mocha!)

I just popped in for an espresso, and it was perfect. Well-balanced, sweet, and with a beautiful crema on top that didn't dissipate quickly. That's the mark of a good barista, a solid machine, and high quality beans.

Great place! Loved the food options, breakfast empanada from Cafe Tola was perfect. Great space for chatting or working, friendly staff. No complaints here!

Cortado was awesome. They even have breakfast tacos and a great selection of DoRite donuts. You really can't go wrong with coming here. If you live in the neighborhood you really should stop by and support.

Awesome baked goods! The green tea muffin needs a sugar top instead of whatever it’s got, but everything else is flawless. Lovely croissants. Cute vibe. Want to come back more often, I really like the lighting inside. I love that they work with TooGoodToGo

My favorite coffee shop in Chicago, bar none. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about this place. Their espresso is first class, with light, dark, and decaf coffees to choose from. Besides great drinks, they have friendly baristas, ample seating, and lovely pastries.

I want to take the time to say that I absolutely love this place and everything. I don’t have a picture of the empanadas but their empanadas are delicious!! I am currently obsessed with their iced lavender latte. Recently fell in love with their pistachio donut as well. Very amazing workers along with amazing service!
