Moved to old town and had an awful experience at solo salon in west loop price gauging with their services and constantly pushing their hair products to be sticker shocked every time I would check out.. Maddie at swerve salon was an absolute gem who didn’t criticize my hair just to push her own services and products like Noelle would at Solo. My hair looks and feels amazing without being charged $500 to cover my grays because they nickel and dime you for everything there. So happy I found Swerve and will stick with Maddie for all my hair services.

My longtime hairstylist left the city so I had to find someone new. Anyone who has curly hair knows this is a nerve wracking thing to do! Went to Swerve a couple weeks back and had Grace as my stylist - she has curly hair herself and knows exactly how to work with it. Not to mention she is hilarious and very easy to talk to. Will be back!

I usually don’t leave reviews on Google however I really need to share my experience when I came in to get my cut and color at Swerve. Hanna was my stylist and she did an exceptional job. She is truly a gem! Hanna worked her magic making my hair so vibrant, healthy and younger looking. I couldn’t have been any happier. During my consultation she knew exactly what I was going for and even suggested some ideas I didn’t even know were an option. She isn’t just knowledgeable but has an exceptional creative gift. The whole appointment from beginning to end was far superior to the rut you can run into going to the same boring Old Town and The Gold Coast salons. Believe me, I’ve been going to the same old same old for…errr..over a half century…Time for a change…Finally! A breath of fresh air. Yay! Thank you Hanna!

Such a cute, fun and trendy salon! I was greeted right when I arrived and offered coffee (pumpkin spice? Yes please!). There’s a cute shop area with hairstyling products and a little rack of clothes. My stylist Katrina did a fantastic job on my blonde highlights. I wanted cool toned blonde and she did exactly that. Love this salon, I’ll continue returning! Also affordable prices if you book new talent. I’ve gone to Katrina and Shelby and they both did a fantastic job.

Literal angels! Katrina was cutting my hair and I fainted, she couldn’t have been any sweeter. The entire team there was so kind and made sure I was okay. Beyond that, my haircut was AMAZING and Katrina was so personable! Highly highly recommend!!

I came here for the first time a few days ago after a friend recommended me. I booked with Emmie, and she did such a great job on my hair! I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable during my appointment. I will be returning when I am back in the city!

Katrina was the most attentive and friendly hair stylist I’ve ever had! She was extremely kind. From the minute I came in she made me feel welcome and she was super cognizant of my fear of cutting off too much hair. She did a beautiful job and even asked me how I liked it several times along the way. I also loved the entire salon, it was a great atmosphere full of friendly people. I have never felt more welcome going into a new hair salon. I’m so happy to have found a perfect place to go for my hair cuts!

Adriana was amazing!! She is super knowledgeable and gave me great advice on how to heal my skin and keep acne away! I fell asleep during the arm massage portion of the facial. She put me at ease and clearly knew her stuff about skin! Definitely going back!

Just moved back to Chicago and was needing to find a new spot/person and let me just say… magic Mikey!! Mikey did an incredible job on my new haircut and the whole staff created such a great experience. I will 100% be returning and referring!

I’m so happy I found Swerve! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming which is something I struggled to find at other salons. Jennifer is the best!! She took me from bleached and damaged hair to beautiful healthy brunette! Highly recommend!

Swerve is great! I see grace for blonde highlights and she does a perfect job every time. The salons prices are fair for the services provided in the area they are located and hours are really convenient.

After moving to Chicago, I was very hesitant to try a new hair salon but I took a chance after seeing positive reviews about Swerve. I have now gotten two haircuts and two balayages by Lauren and could not be happier that I’ve found her! She is very attentive and always gives me exactly what I ask for and provides great input. She also introduced me to a new set of products that I love and my hair is now much healthier. I would definitely recommend booking with Lauren if you are a natural brunette who wants to go blonde. The overall environment at Swerve is also very welcoming and high energy, I always enjoy my time there and will continue to come back.
