This Chicago institution should be holiday tradition for anyone who loves Chicago. Not only does this place still maintain impeccable Christmas decoration when all other downtown joints have given up on high quality decorations, they have holiday cocktail (Tom and Jerry) and their food is awesome. Their fish and chips does not get enough credit as being one of the best in the city. Great Chicago bar. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the BBQ burger! The slaw was extremely good. However, the best part of Miller’s Pub was the waiter, Jeffrey (Jeff). He was incredibly kind and very helpful. He legitimately made my day better. There is simply no replacement for good people. It seems like Miller’s has at least one phenomenal person.

We found the perfect Reuben sandwich. After a long day of Lollapalooza. We stopped here which is open on Sunday. Tatiana was our waitress and she was really good. But let's talk about the sandwich. Marble rye thousand Island dressing perfect sauerkraut that was not tart or bitter. Thinly sliced corned beef. The coleslaw is very very very good. A good sandwich which we took half home and ate for breakfast the next day.

Awesome classic dark wood Irish pub trimmed to the nines for Christmas. Cozy and great atmosphere. Food was great - wings crispy, pot pie hot and fresh, burger outstanding. With good fries. Great draft list and the Tom and Jerry is worth getting.

Delightful experience. Our waitress, Jen was just the best❤️. We ordered the fried chicken and were told it would be about 30 min turn around due to prep. It was well worth the wait and we had our salads served first. The chicken was crispy, not greasy. No heavy batter. Flavorful. It brought back the best memories of my mother’s true Southern fried chicken. The spinach pie was divine! We had the famous Tom and Jerry cocktail too and for dessert we shared the decadent chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, it was decadent. This place was packed with many happy faces which included 9 of Chicago’s finest Police tonight while we dined❤️❤️. Don’t hesitate to visit this nostalgic dining location😍

First and foremost, be sure to make reservations. We stayed next door at the Palmer Hotel. The food, service and decor was excellent! Try the Tom and Jerry cocktail, different but delicious! We had the ribs and prime rib, both were fantastic! The bartenders were very friendly and funny! A must when visiting Chicago!

The first Irish bar I ever hit when I was about 16, nobody carded me. It helps if you look older & order a beer and a shot of whiskey with a serious world-weary look in your eye. I'd get there early after work and have the butt steak and eggs. There was an ancient gent snoozing at the end of the bar. Very cool memories..

The beauty of Miller's isn't to be found in the dark-wood furnishings, stained glass or nostalgic sports photos adorning the walls, but from its late-night hours in an area where most places close by 10pm. Even better is a whopping selection of craft and Belgian brews and a big, meaty menu.

Yet another fine Chicago restaurant. This place just around the corner from the Palmer House Hilton, and just across from Millenium Park is so great you must try. Again, stellar service. Our waiter pushed all the right buttons. The Wabash old fashioned is a perfect before dinner treat. The neon marquis says "ribs" so I figured they must be pretty good. Now, typically I like mine dry but these have sauce. The smoke flavor came through but was not overpowering and the amount of sauce was just right. The Greek salad was outrageous. Also had an app of spinach artichoke dip that was about 3 notches higher than any I had ever had before. Washed all that down with a cold Old Style. YES!

I thought this was one of those local pubs which serve food on the side but this is more of a dine in restaurant. As a Chicagoan, I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a food spot in downtown area. I had fried calamari in appetizers which surprisingly was priced more than the entree dish but worth the amount paid. I had a Greek burger which is one of the best I have tasted. The combination of beef patty along with feta cheese and black olives was so flavorful and an experience in itself.

This was my first time here but it won't be my last. I was seated right away. I was kinda seated behind a wall and couldn't be seen unless you walked past the wall so it took awhile for someone to contact me. A waitress from another section went and told my waiter I was there. Once the server came the service was good. I ordered an appetizer of cheese curds but once they came out my entree was only 2 minutes after so the timing was off for sure. The steak was cooked just right for medium rare. It was tasty. It did have some grissle on it that had to be cut away. After my meal I went to the bar and had 2 of their local lagers on tap. They were very good and I recommend it. Bartender was good. There are TV's around the entire place so you can watch games from dining area to the bar. I recommend if you're in the area definitely stop by for some food and drink.

Great for great pub fare, but busy and hurried. Waiter was very rushed and hurried, yet also very friendly and available. Just felt like we were a number to serve and get out ASAP. Food was good, but reflected being a very fast turnover pub! We’d come back for the atmosphere. The Christmas feel was felt thru the decor!

Mr Miller! It's you! Food is excellent. Just know that the cocktails are overpriced but you can get good food and service without spending too much. There menu has some cheap stuff that feels premium and I'm sure they're expensive stuff is fantastic.

Great atmosphere. Great selection of craft beers. We got there early - 4pm - and got a table. By the time we left - 5.15 - there were lengthy queues. Even so at 4pm the place was crowded. And very noisy. Despite this the service was brisk and cheerful. Unfortunately the food didn't match up. Some great tastes but also some poor bits. Good pub food just don't expect too much. Overall though an experience that is not to be missed.

A few police officers insisted that we try Miller’s Pub and I’m happy we did. The 4-Alarm burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. No exaggeration, I had an amazing meal I really tasted the meat the buns the sauces. I’m definitely coming back here. The atmosphere was great as well. My brother lived in Ireland while working and one thing he mentioned was the pubs. Coming here reminds me of the stories he’d tell me. It’s a very comfortable and chill pub I’ll for sure be a regular here. Love it. I’d recommend this place for anyone.

Corned Beef Sandwich on Marble Rye and Spanakopita for lunch in the Loop The Spanakopita was filling but cooked to perfection and adequately filled. The corned beef was straightforward - meat in bread with a side of mustard to kick it up a notch.

A must stop for lunch or dinner. I love Miller's because it was a favorite of my aunt and uncle who lived in Chicago for years ... this is a spot where the locals eat! Best French dip sandwich anywhere. Full bar. Cozy, upscale ish feel.

Very nice restaurant in the Chicago area 👌. I had The Broiled Cod with Truffle Butter 🧈 😋 Simple dish.. it came with Capers on top . My date had the half rack ribs with corn and fries. Let's go down the list - great location - lots of nearby attractions - great service - nice portions ( but a little pricey ) - drinks were nice and cold - nice and cool dining room This place is a ((Must Try)) 👍

It’s my husband’s birthday today. We walked around the Chicago loop for food. And this one was prefect for his birthday dinner, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. He ordered tom and jerry for warm drink, and half sack of ribs. That’s a lot of food seriously, but super good and I would recommend

Miller’s Pub is the real deal. We each got their specialty, prime rib and it was amazing. Our server, Brian, brought me ketchup in a single-serving stainless steel ramekin, not Heinz ketchup, when I asked for it, but the prime rib didn’t need it. The garlic butter was enough. The mashed potatoes and gravy was excellent. The carrots, not so much. House salad was great. Prosecco was pours from a single-size serving with loads of bubbles. I recommend Miller’s Pub!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Portion size on the BBQ Chicken Cobb was huge. Beer was cold and very tasty. Prices are reasonable and service was good. It was a recommended place to go and I can see why. I will be back. Update: went back tonight to have the ribs. Excellent! Tried the blueberry sour beer too. It was excellent.

Visited here many years ago was thankful I found a picture that I tagged in to remember where to go again. It’s been around since 1930s. Pictures on the wall are cool to see of past celebrities. My favorite is the French dip, the boys both enjoyed their burgers & fries. Large beer selection many TVs to catch a good game and very centrally located in the city. The prices are truly not bad at all for sandwiches that come with sides as well as I noticed steak prices in the 30s and 40s as well as beer seemed very reasonable for Chicago.

We were visiting and ate here because it was close to the hotel. The food was great! I had the buffalo wings with fries. My coworker had spinach dip and a caesar salad. We ate here again two days later. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was delicious!

Nice atmosphere. Great place to enjoy Christmas with your loving one. The food was generally little bit salty. However, they get along with drinks. I don’t recommend mashed potato, but their chicken and ribs are really good.

Miller's Pub: A Chicago Staple My experience at Miller's Pub was beyond magnificent. It was stellar! Kenneth, my waiter, was the best fit for me, and he did more than just serve me. He helped me to navigate those ever fluctuating waters known to so many as hunger. Oh yes, I was hungry alright, but for what, I just could not decide. When faced with this particular dilemma while out to eat, I usually refer to my server if I feel that they have similar tastes to my own. Kenneth and I are kindred spirits, so I let him take the lead and he suggested that I order the half rack of ribs, the spanakopida, and the cole slaw, to which I agreed with the addition of a Tom and Jerry (they are in season being that it was almost winter time) as my aperitif and their local dark ale to pair with my entrée. The ribs were smokey, tender, and juicy. The spanakopida was crispy, buttery, and flaky on the outside, yet tender and slightly cheesy on the inside. It was, hands down, the best spinach pie I have ever had. The cole slaw was, and still remains, the best I have ever eaten. The addition of pineapple as their sweetener for this recipe is inspired. As for my dessert, I had some very delectable options to choose from, but my eyes and that of my server kept going back to their key lime pie, which was, of course, the absolute best I have ever had. Even the presentation was great! A fresh custard style key lime pie, on a fresh made butter flake pie crust, fresh made whipped cream, and freshly grated lime on a purposely chilled dessert plate. To sum up my entire experience at Miller's Pub: Miller's Pub is full of rich history, delicious comfort food, classic drinks, and fantastic memories. I highly recommend Miller's Pub to anyone with an appetite for greatness. Cheers!!!

I sat at a bar and ordered Irish coffee and their special Tom and Jerry drink. Both the drinks were Amazing. Tom and Jerry is a must try. My bartender Kevin was a wonderful guy, he made a little sample of Tom and Jerry drink for me to taste. I also ordered Fried Calamari, though the portion was good but was a bit salty. Overall I enjoyed my time here.

Absolutely phenomenal service. Victoria was our waitress and walked us through the menu and helped narrow down the choices for what we were looking for and what she recommended. The coleslaw and the key lime pie are the best we’ve ever had! Reubens (corned beef, pastrami) were yummy. Nice draft selection. Lovely place walking distance away, I will definitely come back.

Good. Down home pub fare. Bit greasy, good portions and good price. People next to is asked about vegetarian options and ended up leaving, I think there weren't enough to satisfy them. I know my green beans were cooked in some kind of animal fat, I'm guessing bacon. I'm down with that. I got a special, basically a Thanksgiving platter. It was really good, the sweet potato pie was well worth the trip. Boyfriend got a burger, which was good. Apple pie a la mode was good. They had hard cider! Interesting ones, not just the standard angry orchard. Much appreciate that! If you have food issues, ask ahead, the staff is honest and helpful. They just don't really cater to vegetarian or food allergies, though if you can find something you can eat, it's pretty great!

Food is literally mind blowing every time. If you visit Chicago and don't come here, you haven't done it right. Literally everything on the menu is fantastic... How do you make a SALAD better?! Somehow they succeed. I definitely miss Jimmy at the door, and I hope he enjoys retirement... Zero complaints about the staff... If you mess with them, they'll hit right back! Had a blast!

  • 5/5 Lenny A. 4 years ago on Google
100 stars. The food was so good, the service was A++++++, and the staff were as friendly as they could be. I don't think we ever waited on a refill or another drink. The steak was absolutely perfectly cooked to order.. The shrimp was huge.. the salad was even fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to come back!!!

You can sit by the bar and drink but most people come to eat and drink. It is popular but tables are cleared, cleaned and made ready very quickly. Service is friendly and prompt but with a business eye open on proceedings. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. A wide range of beers and ales - local and far flung. It is noisy, and welcoming - the sort of place you want to return to. Excellent.

I went here when I was nine. me, my brother and my parents went out to eat dinner before we went to a White Sox game. While we were eating the owner or manager had been walking around and stopped at our table. He asked my family what we were doing for the night, we told him that we were going to be going to be going to the White Sox game, he asked where we were going to be sitting. We told him that we were way out in the bleachers and he stopped us with what we were saying and said, not anymore you aren't, he pulled 4 tickets out of his pocket and said here are you're new seats. It was 4 seats that were the fifth row behind the White Sox dugout . Shout out to the nicest person we ever met on vacation

This restaurant is okay. The food was pretty good. The price was okay (considering the location). I didn’t try the cocktails but my friend tried a couple and said they were both bad. We went here because it had tables outside that we could sit in and it was right in between our destination and the train station. The service was great.

With my dad in a wheelchair and only high top tables outside, they brought out a table and seated us- it felt like a VIP table being brought out to us like the dining scene in Goodfellas! Jackie, our waitress, was awesome-very attentive. Management was amazing. Best of all, the food and prices-very reasonable prices and a great meal. My dad got a huge salad and I had the french dip. Onion rings as an app, absolutely no complaints about the entire experience. My first time in Chicago and I was lucky enough to find Miller's. If I ever come back, I definitely know where I'll be having lunch again! Thanks again to all the staff, we were only in Chicago for a layover and you gave us some great memories sitting on the patio, enjoying really good food!

For starters, our server Jackie was amazing! She took the time to talk to us and tell us the best places in the city to go as tourists. There were local selections of beer, and the sparkling wine was amazing. The food came out quickly and was way better than I can even describe. This is a must visit restaurant in Chicago! Couldn’t say enough good things about it.

American food and the scene here is super good. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. This place has a great atmosphere. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I loved.

A favorite spot for delicious american food. Visited near twelve, it was not full. This place has a great design.

This is truly one of Chicago's most Charming bars in the loop. I highly recommend. Established in 1950 this place is a blast from the past yet elegant clean and a place you could take a date or a friend or your family out for meals and a drink.

I had my first legal beer here in 1974. Now I go frequently with my son. This place is an absolute favorite of mine I eat here at least once a month. A favorite to have lunch and cocktails before walking to the Museums or along Lake Shore Drive. Bartenders are AMAZING! Fabulous Ribs, Burgers, and Steaks. Highly Recommended

I like Miller’s. Consistently good food at reasonable prices in an old school environment.

Went to Miller's pub frequently for a lunch 31 years ago when I worked downtown.. miss it so much Miss Chicago and Miller's is a staple...I am in another state now (unfortunately) and that is what sticks out in my mind most!!!

Food was a bit pricey (just over $100 for two people) but you definitely get your money's worth. Service even on a Saturday night was quick and efficient. Pleasant servers and food was delicious. Casual dress. Definitely would go again.

Chicken pot pie with the spinach pie was delicious! The pot pie had plenty of veggies and a lot of chicken. Pastrami sandwich and the salad was good as well. Our waitress and other staff did a wonderful job serving us - very friendly and quick! Definitely recommend!

This place is the best! excellent! Great food, great service and a really wonderful dining room! The waiters are very, very friendly. We’ve gone back three times on a short visit to Chicago. It’s nice to find a good homegrown restaurant with food that is made on site, not a chain restaurant with a bunch of frozen food that it shipped in from somewhere else.

This place oozes with bold school hospitality. Everything we ordered was delicious, no wonder they've been in business for such a long time.

Exceptional service and food. Everything was super delicious. The atmosphere was nice too. It was barlike, but quaint, quiet and dim. I went with my brother and it was a great catch up spot. We could watch the game but not have to yell at each other. 🤣🤣...very upscale.

Miller's Pub is one of those places you go to more for the history and the atmosphere than the food. Don't get me wrong--the food is fine--but what's really fun is seeing the interior of the restaurant, all the signed photos, and really getting a feel for the city of Chicago. I love Miller's Pub because of fond memories and good feelings; it's kind of a Chicago classic.

Solid experience! Feels like a premium American bar experience with some amazing local beer selection and cocktails! Service is pretty solid for a busy pub. I had the Hefeweizen, and a dark brown ale. I also had the Mushroom truffle impossible burger.

Miller's Pub is a cozy place for late evening dinner. The waiter was super-friendly, and the burgers were amazing. Also, the kitchen is open until 11. If I book a hotel around the Miller's probably take a dinner one more time.

Had a great sandwich and fries for my lunch. Bar staff was very good and quick with a refill, even on a very busy Saturday. The pub itself is very classic and lots of old school bar character, but not dirty or worn out. I will for sure be going back on my next trip to Chicago!

The one place we ALWAYS make sure to visit when we are in Chicago. Warm atmosphere, super friendly staff, and literally every meal and drink we have tried have been 5 stars! Absolutely love this place!

Tony the barman was brilliant. I feel like he could make cocktails in his dreams if needed, he was that fluid at making them. The staff were super, seated us really quickly and served us really fast.

I had a 4 Alarm burger. It wasn’t what I expected it to be. I’m kind of disappointed because I was looking for something to blow my mouth off with hotness!! It was cooked well done how I like it , however it had no stand out flavor. My server brought me buffalo sauce to add to my burger . I was torn between hot buffalo wings and a burger. I should have chosen the wings. My fries wasn’t all that freshly cooked. The cole slaw was pretty decent. My food was just edible! The name definitely does not fit the burger!!

Had a delicious meal here for lunch. We only had a hour to eat and the waiter did a tremendous job getting us in and out in 40 minutes. Had the open faced turkey sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. Would certainly return!

Nice old school spot with a well-deserved reputation. Good beer selection. The cocktails are great too. I ordered an Old Fashioned and the bartender made it right in front of me and I could tell that it was made right. Lastly, the blue burger was to die for! The crispy fries complemented it well also. If you’re in town and want a solid place to drink and eat try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place! Full bar and they serve Coke products. They are open fairly late and the kitchen is open late too. Their chicken pot pie is legendary. But they sell out quickly. Also their lemon chicken soup is delicious. Tonight we got the open face meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes. It was amazing my new favorite. We also got the Greek style pork chops. They were Also good but very citrusy. For being downtown Chicago their prices are great!

I knew Miller's Pub more than 25 years ago and at the time I loved the Baby Back Ribs with mashed potatoes. Back in Chicago for a short visit, I was happy to see that this institution that offers the "best baby back ribs in the world" still exists today. They've been in Chicago since 1935. And we can say that things are going very well. I ate very well. Excellent ribs. Personally the "half rack" is sufficient, if you have already taken a starter. Price in the medium-high range (with half bottle of wine per person, a starter, entree, no desert it reached 74USD per person - tip not included). Highly recommended.

Such a great, old school style place. One of my favorite places when I'm in Chicago. Again, love this place. They know what they ate doing and understand customs service. Great food.

Our waitress 'Fanny' was absolutely phenomenal. Sadly I gave it two stars in service because the host and hostess took our number down wrong and then proceeded to say that they texted multiple times when we were standing right in the doorway/right outside the main entrance and they could have just motioned to us. The host and Hostess pair then proceeded to seat 3 other couples before my partner and I, It honestly wouldn't have been a big deal if we hadn't been standing in the doorway/entrance. Would definitely go again. Food was wonderfully made and prompt. Sad to say the service from the host didn't follow the same example as the service from our waitress.
