It's just an all-around luxurious experience. It smells great when you walk in. Staff is always kind and helpful. The rooms speak for themselves, clean, comfy, and wonderful ambiance. Love the marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub. I was upgraded to a suite with fireplace and balcony. The spa and fitness area is the best! The breakfast at Brass Tack was ideal. I recommend the pancakes. I try to go as much as I can.

I realize nobody who has the money to stay at a hotel like a Waldorf Astoria is going to care in the slightest about a review on Google Maps. But I have to say, this hotel was nothing special. The staff was universally fantastic—so nice and genuine, not just being friendly because they were trained to be. They were great. But otherwise this hotel was just okay, definitely not worth the money. Some of the rooms are big, but our was really small and cramped. The toiletries were the same harsh stuff that every hotel gives away, just with a different smell. We had a hotel credit to use for lunch but couldn’t because the restaurant was closed (!) for people at the hotel for a convention…why couldn’t the convention have lunch in a meeting room?…so that sucked for us. We could have had room service but we wanted to be out of our little room. Okay, the fireplace in our room was nice but after a while, who cares. It just isn’t up to the standards of the Four Seasons, the Peninsula, the Ritz Carlton…all of which are in the same neighborhood. So, sorry but it just lacked anything special. It is a Hilton with nice curtains.

Really great hotel close to the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue). Top notch personal touch. The staff remembers your name (at least tries to). They have car service available for short trips which is really convenient. They have turn-down service nightly. A cozy bar called Bernard’s and a nice restaurant called Brass Tack. Also one of the few hotels in Chicago with a grand courtyard entrance where the driveway is warmed in the winter. Makes for a tranquil arrival/departure without busy street hassles. Gorgeous spacious suites with lots of marble and a real gas fireplace.

Stayed in junior suite for two days and very pleased with my experience. The staff was attentive, the room was clean and spacious. Requested a crib for my baby and they also brought a care kit and diaper bin. The front desk lady offered a plush bear for my baby and the concierge offered champagne for our stay. The only point to improve is that their pool is too small and the water is not temperature controlled.

I stayed here for my birthday weekend in a one bedroom suite, and would recommend. The staff was attentive and very professional. The hotel itself was beautiful, but there were areas that were rundown. The spa specifically had two broken showers, and excessive mold growing in the men's steam room. In most cases, I would have overlooked this, but for the price, I would have expected a little bit more. Both restaurants were great and would highly recommend the Sunday Brunch. I wouldn't advise using the "house car" service, the valet crew was great, but they over promised the cars availability, causing a back up of guests waiting for a ride.

Fine hospitality and great accommodations that are centrally located downtown Chicago. I’ve been to many of their hotels. This location is excellent. It’s just a quick walk to high end shops and restaurants. The rooms themselves were amazing, nothing less than what you would expect from Waldorf. The pool and gym were very nice for a hotel. The hospitality was amazing. They even went out of their way to accommodate a couple small requests.

Had the best stay and highly recommend! The suite was perfect, and the service was spot on. The room was perfect. I loved the balcony. We slept comfortably. Actually, we slept in for the 1st time in years. Ordered room service, and it arrived sooner than stated. Great mini bar variety. Had drinks and appetizers at the hotel restaurant. It's a nice place with great service. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Waldorf. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping, and everyone in between, all wanted to ensure the stay was amazing. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Bernard’s (bar) had fantastic bartenders and were very personable even on a crowded Friday night. The spa services are well worth the price! The location is perfect as well. A quieter spot, but also only a 5 minute walk to the Hancock building and Michigan Avenue. Our next trip to Chicago will certainly include staying here.

What a phenomenal experience. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is a cut above the rest. We have been to many WA throughout the world and this is by far my favorite. The staff and team at this property make the experience particularly memorable. From the front desk, to the spa team, to the town car driver, each went above and beyond! The suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and beyond comfortable. Everything was well maintained and current. In a world of dreary dated hotels it was refreshing to be at a place that takes their branding and mission seriously! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at their spa and the Brasserie restaurant. I’d highly recommend making a reservation and having this stay as part of your Chicago experience!

Love this hotel but the wear and tear is showing. Cold water didn’t run in my room. Cabinets were cracked and beat up is several spots. And while the lighting had super-cool dimming features, in some spots had no idea how to turn lights one without turning all lights on. Which stinks when all you want to do is turn the water closet light on without turning ALL the lights on.

Truly an amazing place! I'm a Diamond member and was upgraded to a suite. Service is the best you will ever encounter, everyone constantly trying to make your stay great. The rooms are so luxurious, modern, comfortable and well appointed. Room service was fantastic. Everything is so perfect you never want to leave.

Waldorf Astoria Chicago is a really special place. You will be impressed from the moment you pull into the picturesque courtyard. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Once inside, the lobby is clean, modern, and full of marble. The coffee shop on the ground floor is the perfect spot for breakfast coffee and a pastry. The rooms are well appointed with luxuriously large marble bathrooms. Most rooms have a fireplace, which is a nice touch. Definitely a luxury hotel stay in the middle of the Gold Coast in Chicago!

Everything was top notch! The spa was amazing! One of the best spa experiences I have ever had. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever stayed on. The only thing we have to complain about is there is no mother's room for nursing babies and there were no changing stations in the whole hotel. They had multiple parties going in with kids, where are the parents supposed to change their babies? However they did provide us with a portable crib in our room.

Just returned from a 4 day stay at Waldorf Astoria Chicago and I am instantly ready to come back. I will only be staying here going forward for family visits. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was gorgeous and I don’t remember ever feeling this comfortable at any other resort in town. The service was that ‘just right’ combination of warmth and professionalism. Thanks Robert K and Kyle in concierge, along with everyone else - for a really nice stay. See ya soon!

Simply the best! We travel to Chicago frequently, and this is our new favorite hotel. We have stayed several times in the last 6 months, and I wish to stay nowhere else. This place is elegant, up to date, and kept in immaculate condition. The staff all go above and beyond, each, and every time. They truly make you feel special, and valued. The location is great, walking distance to all the shopping and food one could want. We have used the workout room, which is absolutely incredible. The last two times we stayed, we have eaten at the Brass Tack, where the food is amazing, and service just perfect! Highly recommend the Waldorf Astoria when visiting Chicago!!!

We arrived for a staycation, so the location was great for everything we enjoy. The massages from SPA team were incredible, but at $100.00 more than our usual high end spa, I'd advise getting full use of all the amenities to make it worth your while. Our suite was really spacious, but would have loved a more modern charging, sound system, etc. We were disappointed that we didn't bring a speaker, but at these rates, assumed the rooms would be well appointed. Dont get me wrong...they're beautiful, but for the modern traveller, its the little things. We did have a fireplace and balcony...very nice.. The bathroom was huge, massive tub that filled quickly. In room dinner dining menu is solid, food solid, drinks too. Breakfast is a bit $. Valet at hotel is over $80.00 so be prepared, but they do offer a bus to drive you locally...nice touch. Checking in was a breeze with great staff.

The hotel is really nice, however, they automatically checked us out this morning. I had asked for a late check out. The auto check out caused us the lose the allowance we get with being a Diamond Member. After speaking to a manager we were given access to the room and our $50 credit, but was told we had to be out by 1PM. Be careful when booking this hotel that you don’t get automatically checked out causing you to lose your credits.

A truly exceptional experience! Everything about my stay was effortless. The valet parking and check in process was a breeze, no waiting or hoops to jump through. The room I received was fantastic, it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. I ordered room service twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner, each meal quickly delivered and tasty. Each staff member that I interacted with was wonderful, every ask I had was quickly met. Again, a truly exceptional experience. I’ll certainly be back!

I have traveled a lot and the Waldorf Chicago is one of my ABSOLUTE Favorite hotels. I took my husband here for his birthday and it couldn't have been anymore perfect than it was. The room prices were reasonable and they even added some balloons and strawberries to the room (per my request). The spa is so relaxing and honestly, we didn't want to leave. I wish I could give them 100 stars 🌟 for their amazing service from arrival to departure, everthing was absolutely perfect.

What an amazing experience ! We were treated exceptional from moment we arrived. Doors were always opened and many of the staff often remembered our names. The Spa amenities was as great as the massage. The chocolate croissant and cappuccino was a great start and in room dining to end the day . And we had mimosas and truffles as a send-off. I just can't say enough about the Waldorf Astoria Chicago and how special we felt throughout our entire stay.

The brunch service was superb! Our server James was very attentive. The ambiance was inviting and alluring. It was an experience. It was my sister's birthday, and the candle topped bday croissant was not only beautifully made but delicious. The Waldorf breakfast selection was top tier, that bacon topped it for me, along with the mimosa and chamomile tea. I look forward to coming back.

We travel a LOT. A lot, a lot. The Waldorf Chicago never disappoints. Every single staff member goes above and beyond. From Charles at valet, responding to my crazy kids with grace and humor to Deandre going away above and beyond for my husband’s birthday.. Deandre clearly has a gift and makes people feel so welcome and cared for. Thank you Waldorf and Deandre.

It's the Waldorf Astoria, what can I say that isn't already known. Comfortable rooms, everything was spotless, the staff was friendly and welcoming, but professional. The hotel is in a great location that is walking distance from shopping and great food options. Nice views from the rooms. Definitely opt in for a corner king room with the balcony. Thank you for an incredible stay!

I just want to say that I really enjoyed my stay and all your staff are absolutely phenomenal. From the smiles to the greetings I felt so welcomed. Of course the room was exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfortable. I will be back and as a local I think I will have to make this my second home. Thank you

We spent two nights at the Waldorf Chicago for our mini-honeymoon. When we initially booked, we emailed requesting an early check-in considering we would be arriving in a dress/tux. While they couldn’t 100% guarantee an early check-in, they put a note requesting so, and gave us an upgrade for our wedding! The hotel was beautiful, the room was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond throughout our stay.

Loved the room, the service, and the overall vibe. It is a bit out of the way from more touristy areas of Chicago, but not that far a ride share isn't out of the question. Room was spacious and the fireplace kept the room nice and toasty. Very comfortable bed, and the pool was just big enough to do a few laps in. Recommended for a luxury, low-key weekend.

The location is awesome. The suite was amazing. The biggest compliment goes to Bellboy Charles. Awesome guy, who should get a raise immediately. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We had a blast! Enjoy your chocolate Charles. :)

Beautiful hotel in a great location in downtown Chicago! The breakfast was so good! The salmon eggs Benedict was on a croissant - different but delicious. And the French toast is real French toast. Yum! All round great experience. Perfect hotel for a luxurious get away!

Stayed in this hotel in August '23, and have really mixed feeling about it. On one side everything was good. Room is nice, service is good, but on other side from Waldford Astoria and $$$$ (including very high prices in restaurant and bar) I would expect a little bit more than just good. Simply, I just don't see a value of staying here vs. some other lower tier Hilton hotels in Chicago

I enjoy coming to the Waldorf as much as possible, not only for their service but their amenities are the best! I usually stay in a Deluxe King with Fireplace and it's just perfect. I also enjoy the deep bathtub and the main reason I go is for the spa. Even if you don't get any spa services, you can use the hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Every single team member I've encountered has been nothing short of friendly. I will be back soon!

My first WA experience is truly amazing. Staff are friendly and easygoing (frontdesk even remembered my last name, which was impressive). The room is splendid. Diamond-member benefit is also well enforced. Will be my first choice if visiting Chicago again in the future.

Hello! So me and my girlfriend stayed here toward the end of our trip. It was my surprise to her as you all are pretty top notch :). Thank you for making our last days of this very long birthday celebration month so happy!! I remember looking out the window with her and crying because 7 years of pain washed away when I knew I had someone by me who really loved me for me and does everything to match me… sharing these wonderful moments with. It was worth the money and the splurge. Half the trip was paid by her parents in the end repaying it back to the two of us to go off and find happiness together. We are coming back soon to venue look for a wedding though so it’s in the works. I’m trying to convince her this would be Amazing also! Both of us in a place we happen to born in for a day than move to Florida. How funny we both love Chicago that much.. thank you thank you!!! Thank you!!!’ Thank you!!! I love you all

I stayed at this hotel on Sep 5-7. The courtyard was under construction, but the lobby was elegant and beautiful. I got a room with a fire place and balcony. The room was clean and modern. All the staff was friendly and helpful. I think it was Cindy at the front desk who helped me to check in. (I could be wrong with the name. She was Asian with mid length hair) She was professional and super friendly. Only problem I had at this hotel was that my key card didn’t work a couple time in the elevator which was annoying, but the staff fixed the issue. Highly recommend Waldorf Astoria if you visit Chicago.

By far my favorite hotel stay, ever. The room was phenomenal, the service was great, and the location can’t be beat in my opinion. We used to live in the area & we were so grateful to be back. My favorite things about the room were the deep soak bathtub & fireplace (although it was too hot for that when we stayed!). It was our first time staying there & definitely will be back. Hard stay to beat!

While the hotel is grand and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay most pleasant, I gave three stars because of parking unavailability. The Valet was $78/night and there is no on-site parking for guests. This area is downtown Chicago which has nothing but paid parking structures. For as much as rooms, food, and amenities are at this hotel, the Valet should be complimentary or the hotel should have contracts with the nearby parking garages for the guests to park for free during the stay. The hotel can provide parking validation for the garage to accept their guests. Aside from the parking, this hotel is greatly located within walking distance to numerous shops and the Navy Pier. There are a lot of name brand shops available to choose from and there are some nice restaurants to eat at. I recommend calling in advance for reservations as some restaurants are by reservation only, or if they accept walk-ins it is about an hour wait, depending on the time of day or night. The hotel's restaurant had amazing food and cocktail drinks with a service staff that goes above and beyond with providing great service to their customers. Overall, this was a great visit but, I only recommend this hotel if it will fit with your budget.

We got married at the Waldorf last year & for our wedding anniversary this year we had the pleasure of staying at the newly renovated PRESIDENTIAL SUITE. This elegant hotel located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast area features exclusive spa, stylish cocktail bar and American cuisine restaurant. The Presidential Suite located on the 26th floor offers over 2400 square feet of beautifully decorated space. The suite includes two bedrooms, half bath, two full baths, soaking tub, walk in closet, fully equipped kitchen, chef's pantry, fitness room and two outdoor terraces. The hotel staff is second to none and will make sure you are welcomed and taken care of. Hotel restaurant offers great selection of American cuisine, full bar and amazing selection of wine. The restaurant will be changing its name in fall of 2022. Thanks to the amazing staff we had the opportunity to taste few items from the new menu and both items were simply delicious. The speakeasy style lounge is a must stop place for a late-night signature cocktail as each drink is presented in a very unique way. Two-man band was playing jazz during our visit to the lounge making the space feel so much cozier. Overall, perfect stay. Will be back to celebrate our anniversaries at Waldorf Astoria!

We had an amazing experience at the Waldorf Astoria. The hotel staff was very friendly throughout our stay and tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite based on my status with Hilton, which we really appreciated since “real” upgrades are a rare sight in North America these days. The room was clean, spacious, and the in-room fireplace creates a nice and cozy atmosphere during the colder months. The spa is also good and has several baths and a sauna. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.
