This was one of the most beautiful stays I have ever experienced. Both the rooms and shared spaces are immaculately kept and truly inviting. The staff is warm and accommodating. It is easy to engage with other travelers or keep to yourself. It was my first time in Chicago, but I would plan a future trip just to stay here, again.

This was my first time at a b&b, and it did not disappoint! April and Lidia (I believe that's her name) were super sweet and friendly, and they always wanted to make sure our stay was as good as possible. The room and building are exactly as pictured and the view from the rooftop is wonderful. The area felt extremely safe (even late at night). The b&b is also located about 5 minutes from the train station and is also walking distance to the grocery store, Target, etc, so we never felt too far away from anything. Thank you ladies for the wonderful stay!

The Sono is Awesome! A true Home away from home….but nicer! April (the Lady of the House) is simply Amazing! Loved my stay and will definitely be back! The pics are spot on, this place is beautiful! Oh and did I fail to mention the parking pass and the wonderful breakfast and my amazing balcony off my room (I believe there are only 2 rooms with balcony) Can’t say enough β€œgood stuff” ❀️

My friend and I stayed at the Sono in October and it was my first bed & breakfast experience. It was absolutely phenomenal! Very quiet even though they were fully booked, easy access & great communication. Easy street parking and they provide a parking pass. Room was super nice, cozy & clean. Complimentary breakfast was amazing!! Would stay again & highly recommend.

Unfortunately I had a stay booked at this location believing it was a hotel. It is not. It is very much an apartment-style bed and breakfast. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast I'm sure it's nice enough. In my case my assistant booked a stay here and I did not realize the error until I arrived (because "The Sono" sounds like a hotel). It simply is not suitable for me, and I ended up booking with a real hotel (with no refund). I would strongly suggest they consider that their name appears like a hotel, and consider calling themselves "Sono Bnb" or something similar.

Great value - awesome location (very cute neighborhood and right near Lincoln Park) excellent amenities (generous breakfast, outdoor eating areas), and comfortable and clean furnishings. We'd definitely stay here again.

What is Comfort? Comfort is parking right up front and being greeted at the front door with a smile. Comfort is a clean and inviting front lobby. Comfort is the bed. Comfort is the bed. Had to say it twice, it's that good. Comfort is sleeping without hearing the outside world. Comfort is the spouse saying don't worry about locking the door when I go down for breakfast. Comfort is the cleanliness of the kitchen and sitting area. Comfort is having a nice conversation with the owner as she is making breakfast. Thank you Meghan and Joy

The Sono turned out to be a delightful place to stay, fully in line (if not exceeding) our expectations. Our vivacious host April made us welcome and was full of useful tips about getting the best out of our stay. Our room was quiet, comfortable and immaculate, and the breakfasts plentiful, tasty and companionable. The rooftop hangout is a great bonus. The neighbourhood is quiet and full of interesting features, and the 'L' proved a very convenient way of getting downtown quickly. We hope we will get back there before too long. I realised after we had departed that I had left my Kindle behind. They very kindly and with no fuss have posted it on for my arrival home. Top marks!

The Sono Chicago was the perfect place for my weekend in Chicago. It is beautiful and welcoming. Joy was an attentive, generous and delightful host. The breakfast options were healthy, varied and tasty. My room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable for me. The common areas were very comfortable and bright. It is small enough to have a sense of intimacy and personableness. I would definitely stay again next time I'm in Chicago.

When I say they made me feel at home, I enjoyed this beautiful B&B. We might have been cold outside, but this place really was cozy. This definitely will be my home away from home when I come to Chicago. Also I love the coffee and continental breakfast πŸ˜‹. FYI very good COVID policies on the property.

Amazing small hotel, very well located to visit Chicago. Rooms are big and newly designed. The breakfast is amazing ( even with croissants and "Chocolatine")!! There is a small terrace to take breakfast in the morning and a rooftop for a drink in the evening. Cherry on the cake, rooms are quiet and the host is so friendly. For sure, same address for my next visit to Chicago.

Starting with our Host April, being able to multi- task with care to all of the guests request was amazing. She made you feel welcomed into an environment much like home than an hotel. Also the facility was clean and beautifully designed. Thank you April for complimenting our visit to the Chicago area.

β€œAll the comforts of home”! Happy we discovered this gem on a beautiful tree lined residential street in Oak Park.. our stay was delightful including a tasty continental breakfast with fresh baked croissants, a light filled spacious room and cheerful staff. We have discovered our new home away from home in Chicago and will return many times on future visits!!

My fiancee stayed here.. he doesn't have a google account but wanted to write a review: I thought it was located in a nice and safe neighborhood - easy to get to the lake, downtown, and a variety of food options. The place was spotless!! The bathroom had a huge showerhead with great waterflow. The room had a balcony with a great view, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing and they make home made chocolate croissants every morning for the guests. The owners name is Joy, which is very fitting, because she's extremely nice and a pleasure to be around. It felt like a home away from home.

Extremely lovely b&b in a great spot. Exquisitely decorated. Friendly staff. Sunday morning mimosas and live music was a nice touch. Quite a gem!

We had a wonderful two night stay at this property at the end of January. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to our late check jn. The rooms were clean and so spacious - the bathroom shower was amazing and loved the rainfall shower head. Daily continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Overall we had an amazing experience and would return again soon.

My flight was delayed, and my luggage was lost by AA. I had to spend 2 hours at the airport, and I missed the "mandatory" check-in time window. When I arrived at the Sono Chicago, the gate was locked, no one answered the phone call. I had to walk alone at 10 PM to get another cab to take me to another hotel. And THEY REFUSED TO REFUND! To sum it up, this is the WORST hotel in my 20 years of business trip all over the world. DO NOT book this hotel!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Great location, homey and upscale accomodations in the style of a true urban B&B. Main-floor space is top notch with complimentary snacks and drinks. But the star of the show was Adie (staff) who reached out with helpful info ahead of time, was warm and friendly, and even mailed an earring we had left behind. I'll be coming back for future stays when I'm in town.

First impression counts and The Sono was the introduction to my first visit to Chicago. The hospitality and premise's immaculate presentation exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail to keep everyone safe and healthy was critical for our stay, and The Sono's made sure we all were taking care. It is very accessible and located in a secure neighborhood; if you are interested in architecture, art, and culinary amenities, they are all within safe walking distance. Superb! I highly recommend this place to everyone.
