I have been a member for several years. The best Staff anywhere. Amazing services, hotel, amenities, events, and restaurants. The Chef is a nutritionist and the menu items are made to perfection. The Athletics Department is beautiful and massive. This Department also includes services like massage, pedicure and manicure. A little Paradise in one building.

The room was filthy, left over food and someones medication left in the pullout couch, along with a vibrator underneath the night stand made it obvious no one is cleaning the rooms. Electric outlet are exposed and dangerous, stained furniture and that was the second room they put us in. After sharing what happened and what was found in our room they only refunded the first night. The staff was kind and the location is the only reason to stay here. However, there are plenty of surrounding hotels that meet basic standards of cleanliness, basic amenities like a bathtub, fridge or even an ice machine on the floor. The Union League Club does not provide any of those amenities or standards.

I had my wedding at ULCC a couple weeks ago. The entire experience was incredible. Ken and his team were a dream to work with. So warm, helpful and easy-going. Their expertise made the whole experience less stressful and more magical. Our guests also stayed at the club in their guest rooms. From start to finish it was the perfect weekend. And a lot of the thanks is owed to the Union League Club and their staff.

Stayed here on business almost 40 years ago. We would book blocks of rooms and bring our people in from across North America. They were always impressed and I have such great memories of staying here. My favourite memory to this day is of the library with the wooden desks, green banker lights and the wonderful historical artworks on the walls. Simply stunning. I left the Contract Furniture industry but the memories of the ULCC have never left me. Thanks to Fred Fischer and crew.

An incredible opportunity and experience for my family and my self. We were able to experience the largest private art collection in the Midwest. There were some wonderful pieces of George Washington and lets not forget the Monet. It was a history and art experience all wrapped up in one.

Hotel is in a central location and staff are fantastic. Ballroom on 2 is great for in person meetings or hanging with friends in the late evening. Breakfast buffet was good. Only thing about this hotel is the room decor is very blah and view is not very exciting, which is kinda expected for a historical hotel. My biggest complaint was the bathroom in my room was very small. I had to put my knee on the toilet just to wash my face or walk in and stand over the toilet to close the door to get into the shower. I can understand staying here if I wanted a quick stay in a clean hotel but not if I'm looking for a modern hotel for a quick getaway.

The only reason I give the room four stars is because there was no refrigerator in our room. So if you bring back leftovers from a restaurant there is no place to put them. Otherwise this place is beautiful and very elegant.

Excellent place to stay, dine and relax in the heart of the Loop. Traveling for business, our team enjoyed the homey feel, updated old world vibes and non-stuffy welcome from every staff member. Love seeing an old institution like this reinvent itself to be relevant in 2023!

Great place for special events! I've never stayed there, so I can't say how the accommodations are, as far as the events go I've been to a couple there. The atmosphere, food and service was very good.

The food was spectacular! I've never had Parsnip Bisque. This should be a regular item on their menu. Chilean Sea Bass and the Bone-in Filet were excellent entrees. Creme Brulee Cheesecake rounded out the meal. The live music tonight was the perfect touch. We absolutely loved it!

Old fashion club, makes their members feel special but honestly it is a little outdated. Had lunch at the restaurant, service was great, but the food not so much.

The Union League Club is a real Gem! Filled with amazing art, this beautiful historic building is a must visit. All of our meals were tasty, but it was the staff that made us feel so special!

nice old hotel, well maintained and good interiors. very comfortable. my only minor complaint is, don't get the room beside the elevator. you'll hear the clanking of the machinery all day long. note, it's $50 extra per night if you are a non-member

We have been members of the club for almost 15 years. ULCC never disappoints, whether we stay there for business or entertaining family. The rooms are beautifully appointed and you can request rooms with a connecting parlor for larger groups. The Presidents Suite and Chicago Suite are also impressive, spacious and a lovely retreat from the bustle of the city. We really enjoy the meals as well. The quality, presentation and variety are excellent. The location of the club is bar none in terms of sight seeing and walking distance to all financial district business. The club has a stunning art collection and truly special gathering spaces. My husband has used the club facilities including the pool for years and absolutely loves them. He said they are clean, well appointed and there are professional staff to help with all the exercise equipment. Please consider staying here the next time you are in the Windy City.

A beautiful, old hotel. Every staff member always greeted or acknowledged you. Rooms were very nice and updated. It has all the amenities you would want. Food was top-notch. In the heart of downtown so everything is accessible by walking or taxi.

Really nice place to stay, room was booked by our client. Staff were great, rooms were comfortable. Only issue if you want to call it that was the shower head was not adjustable so you have to endure the cold water before it warms up.

Came into town for a day on a stopover to visit family, and decided to make a day of it. Worth every penny. The whole place is well appointed, the ubiquitous paintings making it look like a second tier museum. The room was lovely, with the main negative being the incredibly small bathroom being difficult to get in and out of, and the shower spreading water across the floor. That said, we took the train into town, wanted to look around for the 30 or so hours we were there, and left via the airport, and it was very well positioned for all 3 (a few blocks in a straight line from the train station and public transit directly to the airport just around the corner, and close enough to most of what we wanted to see to make easy walks of it). Bonus: probably one of the top 5 hotel breakfasts I have had as an included buffet)! Overall, well recommended!

Remember to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This website will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Excellent amenities, staff and service. The reciprocity process was very simple. The rooms were comfortable and that bed, it was perfect, especially after a night cap at the bar.

This is a members only place, or you come there with a person who is a member. Located downtown Chicago in a high rise building. Pretty much whatever you need it is there. Top notch quality people. Indoor bar/drinking. A swimming pool and scheduled aerobics classes, a Top notch restaurant, a Library, a hall here to schedule parties, etc. Scheduled party events such as Halloween, Christmas etc... a monthly birthday party/ dinner for the members birthday for that month, each month. Valet parking as well as a public parking garage next door. Get your ticket validated at the front desk for a discounted parking rate. Outdoor cigar smoking events, Jazz music parties. Top shelf place. Top shelf experiences!

Cater in wedding food if you are allowed. Flavorless and overcooked everything. Outdated rooms seemingly from the 60's. The venue in general is gorgeous however, but a pretty face doesn't make up for bad everything else...

Nice place for large gatherings and very convenient to commute. Rather than taking your car to downtown, park in Cumberland and take blue line and you are right there

Great experience. You have to be a member to enter. We were invited by members. The Wingham is a great restaurant for formal dinner.

Lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming. History is kept alive here, too. 1920's art nouveau mixed with our "now."

We just hosted our daughter’s wedding at the Union League Club. Absolutely stellar experience from the start! Ken lead us in coordinating the details after we postponed our date a full year. What a professional! He is very experienced, scrupulous with details and endlessly patient with our concerns. Not only is ULCC spectacular with incredible history and charm - but the venue is perfect for hosting a wedding that includes an out of town guest list. The entire event from start to finish was perfect - all the staff is welcoming and friendly; the accommodations are amazing; and the food is incredible. We could not have been more satisfied!

Amazed covid has made the service below average. FOOD is about the quality of A DENNYS. Mixed drinks were very unbalanced. Covid rules were followed well . I almost felt sorry for the persons over dressed trying to impress. If you are actually working staff is helpful. Meeting rooms nice.

Second to none in service, amenities, and quality of space and food. And they have a great commitment to community with three non profits. What an incredible amenity for this city!

I use to be a member here years ago. They have made some really nice updates including a really nice cafe/bistro on the main floor.

Lovely building showcasing the beauty of the older buildings in Chicago!! Food was good. Event space and restrooms were lovely and even festive for the winter holidays. Highly recommend the nearby parking on Federal.

This is our club. Been going here for years. Nice hotel and restaurants for non-members. They have a beautiful artwork collection, definitely worth seeing.

A monument to the golden age of hotels and private clubs, absolutely breathtaking interiors, and an exquisite collection of art, including a Monet and several other masterworks. A must see.

Fabulous in all ways. A home away from our home. Our family and friends love to be invited to share the magnificent amenities, wonderful cuisine, and all the many programs and events.

Union League Club is a perfect "old money" style to organize events and meetings. It was established at the peak of the Gilded Age in 1879 but still preserved its sophisticated environment. Look at the walls to see original paintings from XIX century till present. They will give you an idea what people they expect to mingle with you here.

This is a fantastic venue. The food and service are both great and the wood paneled rooms with amazing art is definitely Shorey a visit

I will tell you one thing that travel agents do not want u to know. When booking hotels use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ They have the best deals on hotels! So much better than using expedia, priceline, agoda. No doubt about that!!! There for a private party and everything was amazing. Love this club, the different spaces and all the artwork. If you get an invite, make sure to go!!

Great place, but a valet employee with grey hair and glasses was really rude and kept on raising his voice at me. very unprofessional (Don’t mind my username, I used this account to stream on other social media platforms)
