I hate to say this but I'm pretty disappointed in center on Halsted as a whole. Constant staffing issues and their inability to meet their own expectations has made me hesitant to return here. Their youth discord server is poorly managed and they're constantly understaffed. I was really hoping that this place would be the big break for me in finding the support I needed but that seems to not be the case, which is unfortunate.

Supposed to be a safe space for queers. They threw me out on the street after arriving and sitting down to my first mental help group. This was after hours of intake phone calls and waiting a month to finally start.. you arent treated like a person worthy of help unless you are vaccinated AND found that info in the fine print somehow lol They do not care about people.

Do not try volunteering here. Went through their orientation and never heard back from them. Emailed and called several times to follow up, but never heard back from them.

Attached to whole foods. Good public bathroom. Open computer lab hours during the weekday. Good place to eat/charge your phone.

Ive never felt more at home. JD was an awesome host on the tour, definitely coming back to see the 3rd floor next time.

WOW... Shock of the month on how FILTHY the Bathroom was this morning!!! Scarier than Covid-19!!! 😷 Shameful! Even dried old poop on the stall door latch! Trust me... That bathroom has never been cleaned! Look at the walls 😬
