Greenlight Korean Pub & Karaoke is a much needed alternative to the area when other private room places are jam-packed. Making a reservation is really easy and flexible, when our group arrived we were brought right to our room and introduced how to use the equipment (be aware the devices and songbook are Korean first with english songs mixed but is pretty common and not unusual). We were immediately served our drinks and after a little testing figured out how to use the device and we were on our way singing and partying it up. Our server / bartender was very friendly and helpful. The music selection is really good, better than other private room places I've been to. Also they feature really great Korean appetizers! Lots of great and delicious options. One of the highlights of the night was when they lit shots on fire and dumped them into glasses for us (I'm not so good as describing it but it was great, everyone loved it). The only downside is that the room we were in got pretty warm despite having a fan on -- not sure if they crank the AC in summer but if they don't it'd be super balmy in there. Another caveat is that if you are looking for an after-party bar there aren't too many options nearby, but nothing public transit or a Lyft couldn't solve. Regardless this place is really great and deserves more attention! Green Light Korean Pub & Karaoke a nice gem and is a great alternative when other private room karaoke bars are crammed and overbooked.

Green Light was easily the best Karaoke bar I've been to outside of Korea. On top of the great Karaoke equipment and top tier song selection what impressed me the most was that the food was shockingly good. They had my favorite drink on the menu as well. Absolutely everyone we interacted with was extremely nice. We spent even longer here than expected because it was such a good experience! Absolutely should be your top choice for an evening in Chicago

I've been coming to Greenlight for over a year now. First it was just for the private karaoke rooms, which are so fun (and affordable), but I also love hanging out at the bar. The staff is so friendly, the food is fantastic, and their soju cocktails are too tasty. Plus I get to watch kpop videos all night. It's become my regular spot!

Absolutely amazing spot. Woody, one of the bartenders there, was awesome. He showed us all types of Korean drinking games and made our time there even more enjoyable. Sabrina was also great and quite hilarious. This is a must go to spot for Korean culture lovers. The food was delicious as well!

This is my favorite Korean Bar in Chicago. There are a lot of Korean food and various kinds of alcohol such as soju, beer, vodka, whiskey. It's always crowded with people because of its good service. And also Karaoke facilities were good. If you like K pop, there is no place better than Greenlight.

The bar and room was a little cringy but the food and karaoke sort of made up somewhat for it. The food was delicious! The best Korean food I've had in a while. Not many selections for drinks. The female staff was very sweet and nice. The male staff was very short with conversation. Our time was reserved for 6pm - 8pm. At 7:50pm we started singing one last song together to close the night but the male staff barged in at 7:55pm, in the middle of the song saying, "come on, come on. I've got another group reserved for 8". So we stopped, packed up and ended it. At least we were charged until only 7:57pm but still put a big damper on our fun night. I just feel bad because they didn't really clean or sanitize the equipment and room for the next group. It makes me feel better that we were the first group for the night but then I wonder if they even cleaned it for us too.

It was so awesome for my sister and I to just randomly drop in and sing our hearts out for 90 min. The room was clean and the equipment was sanitized with the additional mic caps. The song selection was pretty good too. We got a bottle of grapefruit Soju for two and even with the tip spent under $70. Chicago this place A+

Had an amazing experience here. Staff are friendly and accommodating of requests, and the food is FANTASTIC. I had the japchae, made vegan, and it was phenomenal. My party ordered a variety of dishes and found them all delicious, especially the seafood pancakes and kimchi fried rice. The karaoke aspect was extremely fun-- we had our room for two hours and had a blast. Options include their preset software, and YouTube. I definitely recommend going with YouTube! I cannot overstate how delicious the food was. Go there!

I had the chance to come to the location for my friend’s birthday and it’s was such an amazing experience. It is an hour away from my home, therefore had some expectation which were all met. Service was amazing, the employees were attentive and the food was great (the Tteok-bokki was a bit spicy for me) but great indeed. There is a variety of songs and one can connect to YouTube as well. Lastly, there are specials and discounts which makes it affordable. I would definitely come back and share this location with others!

Their soy sauce fried chicken reminded me of the OG Great Seas back in the day at their original location in the 90s. Crispy, brittle and juicy. So good. Solid Korean food overall and then you can sing your heart out in their private karaoke rooms!!! Thank you Woody for giving us the best first impression of this place. We’ll be coming back many more times for sure.

Had my bday here last night and the soju towers rocked 🍻 we had so much fun singing our hearts out and the bartender played BTS’s BST on the TV for us while we waited hehehe we’ll definitely be back!!!!!

Best place to hang out with friends and family. The place takes all types of groups. Is it a birthday party? They’ll keep the cake refrigerated for you. Is it a friends hang out. They’ll make you feel like you’re one of the regulars. Liz and Woody will always make you have a good time throughout the night. Definitely recommend this place for all weekends hangouts. Hahahaha

My friends and I had a blast for my wife’s birthday! I emailed them the week of to make karaoke reservation and thought it’d be too late but their response time was fast! I was even able to add more time to my reservation day of. I was surprised how big the room actually was and it was really spacious. We had a large group and we didn’t feel cramped at all! They have great food available as well.

First time visiting tonight, and Green Light is my new go-to karaoke lounge. I had a group of 11, and we had a blast in a comfortable room at a great price. Liz the bartender and the whole team really outdid themselves making us feel at home. The vibe is wonderful. You’ll have the option of using the (somewhat limited) catalog or connecting your phone via Bluetooth and using YouTube karaoke tracks. Cannot wait to come back.

I was there for karaoke but was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Service was great. They do a good job of explaining how everything works and are more than willing to answer any questions. Will definitely be back!

The food is AMAZING. Believe me... I'm Korean. Very nice ambiance and overall feel. Didn't get to karaoke. Service was excellent. Woody, our server, was very hospitable and welcoming. We even shared a few shots with him.

This is my go to place for drinks and karaoke! Rooms are super clean, food is fantastic and the bartenders are so much fun. Chelsea and Woody made my birthday super special with fun performance shots and the 'chelsea special' drink. 10/10

The food here is the absolute best! Music is great and TONS of options for soju! If you haven't been here, you need to go! It's a small place and the bartenders are all great! I can't recommend this Green light more! Oh and don't get me started on the kimchi tater tots! Just go!

The atmosphere and service was great! The cocktails were delicious. The kimchi fried rice was perfect. I will say, the other food was lacking. Lots of options for songs, everyone can find something they want to sing!

Went there for my birthday and had a really great experience. The song catalog was huge and had a wide variety of music which I didnt expect but absolutely loved! There was really something for everyone in every genre! The staff were also very kind and attentive. We arrived about half an hour early assuming the bar portion of the place would be bigger than it was but we were such a large party that they were kind enough to just let us into our room early. The private room we rented was definitely spacious for our group of 15 and the price for the room was amazing! The drinks are a little expensive but the overall experience was so great and so much fun it was worth it!

The rooms were big, nicely decorated, seats were comfy! They were booth like seats. We had a party of 9. They had special lighting that you could adjust. Their karaoke machines were easy to navigate and they teach you how to use it. They had a variety of songs as well. They had two mics and the music was loudddd (in a good way).They kept the room cooler because they knew we were gonna party it hard in there. The drinks were good. We would order food and drinks at the bar and they would deliver to the room. Great service and great food 😁 I'd come back again whenever I'm in the area!! Also they gave us a free soju bottle on the house. I had a great time! Come if you want to create your own concert with your friends.

Place is awesome and has a great selection of drinks, snacks, and songs! Just went for a birthday party where we reserved a room (unfortunately had to leave early) and I had the best time. Service is amazing too, they made sure we had a seamless and easy night. Cannot wait to come back.
