Went for riot fest. Awful experience leaving. Needs to move, DP is not a good fit. The residents don't want us there, horribly organized festival, no where near enough security. Why do you oversell tickets if you don't have the support staff? Greed. Won't be returning for riot fest. I'm sorry to all the residents in the area but the fest goers didn't decide to have it there, there's really no point in berating and harassing the people who attend.

Riot Fest was amazing and everybody in that neighborhood was very friendly. While I'm sure they aren't happy with the disturbance caused by a huge music festival, we loved it and appreciate everything. By the way that's a picture of Coolio this year at Riot Fest, on September 18th 2002, while he was performing "Fantastic Voyage". RIP Coolio

This park is sick, it's nice during the day but gets kind of sketchy at night. They even host festivals and events. We actually just went there to see Post Malone for Lyrical Lemonade's music festival called Summer Smash! Great piece of nature in the middle of the city.

Riot Fest 2022. Great vendors of art and food. Must eat at odd times if you want to avoid the gigantic lines. Eating early is best.

Beautifully designed course in the middle of a city park. There is a body of water and a field house on either side of the course.

Good place to golf for free but the greens all had a massive amount of goose droppings that made putting impossible. There's no "tee box" or flags as a regular golf course so you can "customize" each hole to whatever approach you would like. Only one hole is somewhat long enough to get a short drive in but the other two are fairly short and you could get from the tee to the green with a pitching wedge. Sort of tough to find access to the holes but there is a path behind the main building by the pool.

Looks nice on the pictures but as a tourist I wold not go here. It is for locals and that is it. Quite strange also that you cannot find any normal shops in the area. Walking around gave me a headache, you can still hear the trains and cars passing by, not really a quiet area. There was a gate and fence around a portion of the park, hope that it will be repaired.

Took my son and his friends to summer smash 2018 and it was great! My kid loved it. Security was everywhere, park was clean, I was able to park on the street so I didn't have to pay to park and the park and location itself was awesome!

We had a great time at the Douglass Park Mini Golf! The area is tucked between two serene ponds and has a great backdrop with a view of Willis Tower. The course is created by Chicago High School students and they did a great job. Each hole is designed with the theme of a local bird and has a placard at the start of each hole to give information on the bird for that hole. Directions: it sits just behind the Fieldhouse, so follow the signs to there. Free parking at the Fieldhouse and a short walk to the entrance just behind.

Huge park. Good for walks and to take your dogs 🐕 for a walk. It's also good for bike riders. Huge concerts they have during summer as well

The amount of goose poop was very disappointing and frustrating with trying to walk my dogs there. I'm not sure I want to take them back unless I know the geese are gone.

Attended Riot fest in this park....about the park. The park is huge. Looks like there is a turfed soccer field which was covered to keep the turf from being damaged. Looks like there a couple baseball fields. All in all this seems like it would be a nice family park. I didn't see regular restrooms but there were many port a potties for this concert. I would hope there would be some type of restrooms for this park for normal ist

Searching for a spot to partake in the excellent outside? Head to Douglas Park. Walk the canine, bird watch or partake in the organization of loved ones. Ensured to live it up.

This mini golf course is great. I never thought a cute little 11 hole course would even be back here. Beautiful park to walk around in. Definitely worth your time. Course is open Friday and Saturday from 11 to 6.

Douglass Park, such a lovely green space right in the heart of Rochester. As I strolled along the walking paths on a sunny spring afternoon, I couldn't help but think of Frederick and Anna Douglass and their legacy here in this fair city. This park is a living monument to their courage and vision in fighting for social justice and racial equality. The wide fields and stands of trees make for the perfect spot for local families, dog walkers, and disc golfers to unwind. I saw kids playing tag and flying kites near the fountain, while folks enjoying the warmer weather with picnics spread out on blankets. Further down sprawls the large playground - little ones giggling with glee as they zoom down the slides and swing high. This park really has something for everyone. Of course no visit to Douglass Park would be complete without reflecting on the namesakes the park memorializes. Walking past the statues of Frederick and Anna, I learned more about their abolitionist newspaper The North Star which was published right here in Rochester. It's amazing to think of the profound impact their words had in the fight to end slavery. Their courage and wisdom still inspire today. With the blue sky above and laughter all around, Douglass Park sure is a welcoming oasis in the heart of the Flower City. I'll be back again soon to continue soaking in the beauty and history between these tree-lined paths.
