I love going to the little beach by the rocks in Cal Park! It's really nice to sit and have a picnic and take a dip in the cold water. It is close to the soccer field and the red brick bathrooms. The blue water vistas are filled with sail boats, helicopters and tankers making their way across. Come out and enjoy the lake at Calumet Park near 95th Street and Ave G!

The place is falling apart and not well maintained. Much is in sad shape. Many parking lots resemble cratered artillery testing grounds. Nice lakefront.

Since I was a young lad this was the park of choice throughout my childhood. Having said that it was also one of the only choices for the area. Learned a lot from clubs and and programs here. This park needs a little TLC but it still has lots to offer for the young youth in the east side of Chicago! The beach needs cleaning and the beach house needs renovating. The playground is nice and provides plenty of enjoyment for kids. Still a great recreational area for all to enjoy!

Used to go here as a kid with my family always s fun and safe place to go. I had not been there in several years. There was plenty of parking. Beaches are closed but there's lots of park space and you can walk along the beach side. It appears people go sit on the beach after 5 when the lifeguards leave. Everyone was wearing a mask and people are respectfully keeping their distance. It was a Friday so not sure how the weekends are.

Great park except for gang members constantly looking to start trouble other than that it’s big has plenty of space for many activities

This little Park, was for the neighborhood. It was quiet fairly clean, though there were some Wicked looking spider webs on the fascia of the building, the pier was a little dated, but the views were spectacular and there was enough room to play and clean enough to not get hurt

This park should be ashamed of themself. This park is huge and plenty of grass and the dogs don’t even have soft ground to run on?!? Then it’s only one park, and there should be two. One for big dogs and one for little dogs, there are no poop or garbage inside available to put the poop. Im so disappointed in Chicago, especially the east side because they really shorten us out. They need to extend this gate to more grass for the dogs to play in, and install a poop bag with a garbage attached. I gave it two stars only because there is water fountain inside and free (no membership) for@, But my dogs(two German/ Husky) tried to enjoy this and they were slipping and sliding over the concrete.

I have a looooong history with this park that goes back roughly 15 years, but if I were to sum it up: - summer camp is phenomenal here, the director is one of the nicest people I know - the building shows its age a bit but is well cleaned otherwise - the beachfront is beautiful and a wonderful place to go on hot days - walking or biking around the park is always a good time - good fishing spots

The rocks at Cal Park are a great place to sit and look out at the water. There is also a great historical museum housed in the field house!

Our family had a beautiful time enjoying lunch from the fishery and sitting on the edge of the water while we ate and fed the seagulls our overs!

Always worth my time coming here. I take my son after I get off work, and he enjoys the play while I enjoy the rest and watching him play.

Beautiful park. Ample parking however it can be difficult on weekends but that's to be expected being summer. So get there early.

Calumet Park is an awesome, FREE and open to the public park... They allow tents for daytime use, there's a large swimming beach, food vendors, designated fishing areas, ball diamonds, at least one full court and it's open 'til 11p! Just one cool place, all around.
