You can park for as little as $2 for 1 hour. While I came here to see The Secret Mermaid, I was disturbed by the amount of trash, plastic, and glass on the beach. There are trash cans and recycling containers every 50 feet but trash everywhere. I started to pick up trash to keep it from going into Lake Michigan but was overwhelmed by the amount of trash there was. I started to cry over how polluted the beach was and how the animals are paying the price of our (people's) failures. But the mermaid was pretty much what I expected. Glad no one has vandalized her. Nice views of the skyline. It’s great for laying out in the sand. The beach itself seemed clean. There’s too many rocks in the lake and that can hurt when stepping on it. It also gets deep really quick, and there were a lot of dead bugs in the water. Overall, great for chilling on the shore without going in the water

In my very personal experience one of the best views from the lake in chicago nice landscapes , the wonderful bridge view to the south shore , the only bad side people leaving trash aside after visiting

Love this beach! All the times I've gone, it has not been crowded. It's kept in pretty good order as well. Swimming wise, it's not shallow as far out as some other beaches so you can actually swim a little bit. I much prefer to go here than any of the other crowded beaches, particularly on the north side.

Great place to take the family and walk. Both sides of the bridge there are parks. The bridge runs over lake shore drive and has a beautiful view of the city.

Great view. Total relaxation. Just watch out for the bikes, some of the cyclist are entitled a holes.

I was scared of trash on the ground I might step on some needles. I left very quickly. They need some deep Cleaning and ticketing for trash. Heavy Smoking all over the parking lot and too loud music everywhere from parked cars. Don’t expect quiet and pleasant beach experience.

I went to this beach for a good time, honestly I was expecting a good time until I stepped into class and cut my foot and my ankle I was in pain I will never return here AGAIN!!!!!
