My family had to take my sister there yesterday and we were told we had to wait outside of the emergency room while she was being treated. We waited and no one came to tell us anything. I finally went to the desk and the woman there was able to get some information for us. The nurse that was “treating” my sister was rude and resented us asking questions. My sister was admitted and still I am unable to get someone to tell us what is going on. It’s very sad when people who supposedly “work” in the healthcare field are so uncaring. I had to return home to Florida and am praying that my sister will be taken care of. Reading the reviews regarding this hospital puts fear and anxiety in my heart for my sister!

Very inconsiderate no compassion for their patients. They won’t even open the door for you when you’re ill. Hospital very dirty and contaminated. I arrived through the E.R they sat me back in the waiting area. Not feeling well forces to sit in hard uncomfortable chairs. With body aches already. No hospitality what’s so ever. That place needs to be shut down very disgusted. I left soon as they sat me in the waiting area. I’ll take a chance and nurse myself back to health. What is the world really coming to!

I went in because I was having a anxiety attack. The nurse were rude and when I asked for company because I felt like I was going to have another episode they told me, “Miss. Lady we are at work. We can’t help you” they didn’t give me any treatment for my asthma. Nor check up on me. They are ghetto, worst HOSPITAL I ever went and they should be either re staff or be shut down. Disgusting environment🤮 They were on they phones most of the times and not they there patients seriously. JACKSON PARK COUNT YOUR MF DAYS.

This is specifically for their behavioral health unit, I do not have any experience with their medical floors. I was here for 3 days in June of 2020 and it was awful. The unit itself is very unclean and dirty; not an environment conducive to healing - the plastic box that surrounds the TV for safety had food all over it that was never cleaned off (it was there before I got there) and much more. There was absolutely no therapy - not one group, no individual, nothing. We all just kind of hung around either in our rooms or the dayroom reading, playing cards, or whatever else. The one person that we were assigned as our 'case manager?' (I can't remember if that was their title) didn't actually meet with us. Mine only met with me to figure out my transportation home on my last day. My Doctor, who I unfortunately cannot remember the name of, was extremely rude, abrasive, and condescending. I had asked a few different staff a few different times for something like books to read, word puzzles to do, something (as I had finished the books I brought with me) and they had absolutely none. I have food allergies and only once on my last day was i brought a tray that did NOT contain my allergens. Overall, I have been in places that were worse and actually abusive; but this is still not an environment that I would think beneficial to anyone's mental health or healing and I would not recommend it.

One nurse told me to call one specific number and I did. All i wanted to do was check in on my mom. Then, the person on the phone told me to call TWO other numbers. Okay fine. I call the first number they gave me, and a woman picked up who was so incredibly rude and disrespectful and just hung up on me. I asked about my mom and before i could even finish my sentence she hung up on me. I ended up calling the other number and no one picked up. So i had to call both numbers back to back TO CHECK ON MY MOM. Finally, I got in touch with someone who FINALLY put me through in with my mom. The staff are so disrespectful, inconsiderate, rude, and so useless. It’s like they’re not taking anything seriously. it’s like they aren’t grasping the fact that they work in a hospital.Don’t bother bringing someone here it’s absolutely awful. If i could rate it 0 stars i would.

Family member was inpatient for psych in the men’s unit after threatening suicide. Upon calling and visiting, everyone was pretty helpful and friendly. No, it doesn’t look sparkling or new or like the best staff ever, but everyone was kind to me and (I think) him. Obvs not a great place to be if you’re not actually mentally ill. He was in a room with someone dangerous and had to ask for a reassignment, which they granted expeditiously. Visiting is only for 15 min. Diff staff give conflicting information regarding rules/procedures, especially the one night staff worker I spoke with on the phone the first night. If you can go somewhere else, I would, but I also literally got good vibes from everyone I met, so maybe it’s more about the energy you bring with you that determines your experience and treatment, food for thought.

If I could give this place a negative -10 I would! I see Dr chou and let me just say this woman is evil! She told me today she was cutting one of my meds because the insurance company is complaining about prices of medications that have too many bad side effects! I can't believe this woman looked me in the eye and just lied like a child. Needless to say the conversation got heated but I stayed as professional as possible because she was threatening me about getting me committed because I'm too hyper sensitive and I cry to much! I was in such shock today , I wish I would of recorded it so I could sue her for malpractice. She not just lied to me she talked down to me. She got sarcastic and when I called her out she said and I quote "I don't have to take this abuse and accusations. She just kept pushing and pushing me. She really was trying to get me to explode but when she saw me able to go toe to toe calmly it made her so mad. I'm just so hurt and feel as if I was treated unkindly. This was the worse appointment in 6years I've had with her.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Dr. Reed... If you want to call him a Doctor does not care about the mental health of the patients at this hospital. I was told by the Doctor himself the best way to help my son was to run away as far as i could from him, instead of pointing us to the help he needs.

The people are terrible and act like they don't know what to do I seen doctor chew and she does not listen or give certain medicine,do not come here they call it the death hospital for a reason including every one who talks about it.However I can say this I didn't know there was a cafeteria and this is my first time going and the chef, the people, the price was amazing.I could get bacon and eggs and a cup of coffee for 4 dollars and 50 cents and if I wanted a medium size pop it's 2.00 dollars. Recommendation come for the cafeteria ONLY you won't regret it.

This place is inexcusable. The staff is burnout and rude. The Doctor's act like they are God's and the equipment is old and broken down. The screen in the portable exray machine looked like it had been punched. So many things wrong. So sad. I will be filing an official complaint with the State when I get home.

Husband comes in through the ER. My daughters with him. Finally come out and take him to the back. Told all of us, no visitors allowed. Sitting in the car as I write this. He called, they are going to release me I’ll be out in a few minutes. My daughter goes to get him. Now the doctor wants to know what happened. Has my daughter come back to tell him what happened. Now doctor has the real story. Ok. Going to go do more tests. Sorry you can’t be in here. No visitors allowed. Back in the car.

Criminally negligent hospital in a black and brown community. I did my rotations as a medical student. We had to order labs, perform tests, do patient notes without orientation, training or any oversight. Doctors would give us blank signed prescription notes and we filled out the rest with the drug we wanted. I found few of those black notes misplaced in various locations.

Nurses made fun of me when I was extremely ill and couldn't fall asleep because my neck muscles were too weak to support my head because I didn't want sleeping pills and was having bad reactions to the meds they were giving me. If it's "too hard" to take care of you they'll barely try. The medical staff here have toxic little cliches that everyone knows about. They scare the good ones away. They don't communicate well with patients. Was ignored when I reported another patient following me around and harrassing me while I was too sick to do anything about it. When I left they forgot to discharge me with meds so I got sick again before I was able to get a prescription. Get transferred somewhere else as soon as you can if you have to stay here long term.

This hospital Is the absolute worst hospital in Chicago Illinois if you love your family members do not take them there Doctor Hassan is lazy and liar. Does not care about his patients do not let him take care of any of your family he would lie about putting orders in and try to blame the nurse he do not take accountability and he is a unethical doctor.

This hospital is straight up bogus. They need a demolition crew to bull dozer the building to the ground. It looks like the county jail and a scene out of a horror movie the "Shining". They so rude and unprofessional and now waiting as POA Of my 75year old mother to be discharged. They playing games with me and now I am exposing this dumpster of a hospital. My mother is diabetic and 👀Look at what and how they served my mother dinner a county jail sandwich. They said is was a snack not her dinner it was 9pm. So when is dinner and her teeth was not brushed bed was wet. I'm calling the police again.

Literally the worst employees in existence. I bring patients here and wait about 2-3 hours to admit a patient when it only takes 10 maybe 20 minutes to do. They just sit and fool around, sometimes arguing, having conversations while people are waiting to be attended too & just lollygagging. I was told today, your going to have to wait a while because its shift change at 7:30, & it was about 6:30 when we arrived which doesn’t make sense. When the first lady told me she couldn’t admit the patient because she had a “meeting”, she asked her coworker if she could do it and they replied “no,no,no”. Btw when I returned 10 minutes later they were still sitting there(no noticeable meeting was taking place at that moment) this place is absolutely despicable every time I come here. I feel guilty when I leave my patients here…

The most unpleasant and unprofessional staff that I have ever seen in a hospital setting. If you have family members there do what you can to get them out of there. I would not take a stray dog there. They treated my family member like dirt.

Honestly hate to say this but if Jackson Park is the only place I can b brought to by ambulance, I rather stay home and let the lord take me. Horrible hospital the staff don’t care, u barely see them, and they always short staff. I’m not even sure why this hospital is still open. I wouldn’t wish this place on my enemy. They slow and outdated. Close them down. I’m someone who uses catheters to empty my bladder, can’t never find me any.

Anyone that claims this is a good hospital is a lie. There’s absolutely no good about this place. The staff are very rude. I didn’t know if I was at a hospital or a meet and greet. Instead of sitting around gossiping they need to do some work. I’m calling to report them as I type.

Been here since 9 am and the guards have been in a huddle around the front desk talking. Go to get checked in and another group of intake workers in a huddle talking. I have been here for 2 and a half hours no one has come out to tell me anything. I asked about the wait to a nurse about 20 minutes ago and she has come back to the door talking several times but still haven't addressed my question? This is ridiculous the service you get in under resourced communities!! We get no respect.

Worst hospital in Chicago. The nurses and residents are rude and doesn’t do any work the male nurse called my mom a B word because she didn’t want him to assist her again because he made her nose bleed uncontrollably for days while trying to take a covid test and he didn’t even do it right so they to do it over. They Don take complaints well they team up on people the Africans there dislike black Americans. The hospital is nasty and unsanitary. And the male Nurse was about to strike my mom his name is Raji African Male. I’m so upset the ambulance took her to this terrible place. They won’t let us transfer her to another hospital. They only there to clock in the hours for money not they patients. They literally sit there and don’t do work and you barely see doctors

I was there briefly for a foot injury the only good thing was that they gave me crutches but they tried to perform surgery when they didn't have to just to get me in and out but that's not the worst part, as I sat there waiting to be seen there was big a**water bug crawling around like he was waiting to be seen as well. It was so disgusted, so glad when my insurance denied that claim and I had to go elsewhere, which worked out way better in the end.

I used to go there for 12-step meanings , but I was kidnapped and taken involuntarily there Recently by Foster Healthcare and Rehabilitation (Nursing Home) - LAWSUIT PENDING ! While I was in their custody, they tried to give me medications I did not need, including one that I'm allergic to - which would have potentially Killed Me ! Very Unethical Conduct by some of the Staff. The State of Illinois should Overhaul their Personnel and Procedures.

Overall the staff is friendly, once you establish that you know what you are doing, they're more responsive, willing to communicate with family, hard to reach Social Workers department for staff and outside companies needing information. Kudos to ICU Team.

Awful! One star is to many, this hospital should be TOTALLY CLOSED ! from the operator not knowing how to speak professionally, ex. When I asked to be transferred to the psychiatrist ward 4th fl ( I’m ask is it a lady or man?) instead of addressing male or female or to be told wait wait, spell their name I don’t know how slower am I supposed to spell a name to be ask 4 times to repeat myself, This is after I’ve called numerous times afterwards, to be transferred to a voice mail of a Mr. Anthony, really?! And to be placed or placed on hold over 10 minutes afterwards to have someone on the other end at the 4th fl saying, HOLD ON! , or like today, I called 3 times to have the phone hung on me after ringing 22x put placed on hold then 2nd time put on hold after ringing 15 more times, which someone picked up the phone & hung up. I come to find out pt haven’t gotten any personals for basic showering n teeth cleaning on top of it all employees ruined. I don’t know where you hired these employees but these employees need proper professional training, It could be their love one in a hospital and these people would like to be addressed with kindness & courtesy. I do hope this get to a caring administrator of this hospital. This has not been the first, second or third time trying to get through sad to say that the great hard & caring workers has to pay for the lazy and unkind workers.

I arrived at this hospital at 5 a.m. with my wife who had a very bad stomach, they took this information as if they were going to take care of her right away, we stayed for more than 2 hours and no one didn't take care of her with all this pain she felt in her stomach. I have never seen a hospital as mediocre as this hospital in my life, there is nothing human about them. I do not advise anyone to go to this Hospital, and also there was a young man who had broken his arm and who was crying in pain, they did nothing for him and they left this Hospital and Afterwards we also left this hell of a hospital.

...so much to say. Jackson Park, first of all, was instrumental in what I consider the cold-blooded murder of my mom, Aug 2021 (this is a long story I won't even detail here because it's still too painful & too much). But anyway, I reluctantly went there last night because I was in a kitchen oil fire & had 2nd/3rd degree burns on my hand. They sat me in a dirty, stained bed (I was in emergency). The "Dr' (Sv something) literally seemed he was on drugs. Security & front desk personnel all huddled around being passive-aggressive, trying to make fun of me & gossiping about each other & other patients. Ultimately, they clearly are jealous, childish, obtuse & incompetent - mentally disturbed sociopaths. Many believe 'the White Man' is why this hospital is disgusting - as it serves a Black area. But flipside, most who work there are Black/African & treat each other like filthy rags. This is a horrible death center, not a hospital. Wish I could give 0 stars.

If I had a closer option I promise I would have taken it. This place is beyond repair. The staff if you can call it that are so #unprofessional, gossiper (s) is there a reason this place is still open? This is not a Good Place to Train even if you are foreign or a foreigner#whomever. KEEP IT MOVING! Alot of Foreign doctors who care are and who are apart of Jacksn this is a terrible area if they're looking to Grow. Please Go elsewhere or Relocate. LEAVE ON YOUR 2 FEET Running as fast as you can #OMG. You may get a good breakfast but too much competition , nails and wigs around that place. Training and Professionalism is out the window . IM THINKING LIKE HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE ... IM trying to pull my records and trace some blood work or labs from my previous visits...I've had my day(s) at this Cemetary and I checked my ownself out and relied on God for Healing rather than remain. I ended up getting sicker than sick and I strongly believe it was due to the dis- array and uncleanness of the ER years ago. I strongly believe that. HEK to the NAH!
