My personal experience with this practice has been terrible and the stress it has caused me has caused more pain. I sent documentation to Dr. Lubenow in January. His front office staff lost it and even though it was refaxed and emailed it never got to the appropriate person. Speaking with the front desk woman at Oak Park, Noelle, wasn't any better if she was plain rude! The Clinical Coordinator, Mimi has no compassion or empathy. She enjoyed telling me that they wouldn't accept me as a patient without giving me a reason. When I was referred to Dr Jaycox by my wonderful surgeon at Rush, she did it in such a sarcastic, mean-spirited manner. I made some poor choices of doctors due to COVID-19 and another university being closed during that time. I was given 3 referrals that didn't work out for me. I even explained this in writing when I submitted my information. I cried and begged for help but Mimi was relentless. My surgeon referred me to a 3rd doctor there and I was rejected again! They've even gone so far as getting Google to delete my reviews of their practice. Shame on you! Dr. Lubenow has some power and control over all the doctors in this practice. I do not understand why they won't help a person my like me who has been in pain management on and off since 2000 due to a rollover car accident where I was broadsided and ejected from my vehicle. It is proof that I need top notch medical care as injections and a spinal stimulator haven't worked. This practice just isn't up to it!

Dr. B is sincerely concerned with his patients and their well being. He is a great listener when it comes to your issues. He is not one to take things quickly. He always likes to access all options. I have a great deal if trust in him.

Dr. Suvar was great - the fellow we saw not so much - arrogant/didn’t wait to hear what we were there for and told us that pain management should not be in charge of us. We just wish he’d taken the time to let us explain who sent us and why we were there.

Dr Lubenow has been my Pain Management Doctor for 27 years, TWENTY SEVEN!!! There isn’t anything else that can bee done surgically, he’s gotten rid of nerve issues in my leg(s), and does everything possible to keep me as humanly functional as possible. He does not sugar coat anything which is what people want, he’ll tell you the way it is, which is why some people say he’s not their favorite person. I challenge anyone to find someone better in the Chicagoland area and beyond. This is why I choose to drive 3 1/2 plus hours one way to see him. Yep, he’s simply the Best of the Best!!!!

Dr Suvar made me feel welcomed from the moment we meant, he has great bedside manners! You can tell he loves what he does! The staff on the other hand are NOT the friendliest! They never return phone calls and they are usually rude. Just a heads up!

Worst Dr.'s office I have ever been to in my life! The desk staff are rude and demeaning. Hardly see the Dr. as he just walks in and out and leaves me with residents. They don't bother to give me the option to reschedule my appointment when my Dr. isn't there. I drive over an hour to get there to find out he's not there, and I have to see someone else in the practice, who isn't familiar with me or my case, so I get brushed off and told to come back in a month when my Dr. is there. This hasn't been a one time occurrence. The Dr.s and staff just don't care, all I am is a walking insurance card to them no matter how much I suffer which has been many years. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy!

Very good experience with my doctor's Tolga Suvar and his team @ Rush hospital pain management center. I received lover lombar injection last year and now I'm pain free. I highly recommend Dr Zimmerman, Dr Fanties and Dr. Tolga Suvar and all other doctors at Rush hospital in Chicago.

Dr Suvar is an amazing doctor! I’ve been seeing him for years now. I would highly recommend him to anybody! The office staff and fellows however are not the greatest. It’s hard to get a return call or a message back if you leave a message on the Portal. I work in healthcare and I know how important it is to return a patients phone call when they’re having issues and it shouldn’t take a week or more to do that. They’re also not the friendliest sometimes. I keep going there though because of Dr Suvar and Dr Jaycox! I just wish they could get some good staff in their office who truly cares about their patients.

The medical care is excellent, the office admin needs a lot of improvement. Pretty curt and not informative about any delays. Paperwork looks like it’s from 1987 and the patient rooms are barren. Hang up some art, smile and communicate nicely with patients.

Due to a failed back surgery I was referred to Dr. Lubenow. LSS, I have a diseased spine and have had multiple surgeries at a different hospital. First, if I would have known about Rush University Hospital, I would have NEVER gone to another hospital. This hospital is absolutely amazing!!! Not 1 complaint!! Back to Dr. Lubenow. I truly suffer from terrible pain. Dr. Lubenow has taken so much time with me trying his absolute best to help me have some quality of life. Unfortunately, I will always have pain, but this doctor is beyond compassionate and understanding. I’m facing the biggest surgery of my life very soon and he reassured me , that he will not let me suffer afterwards. The surgery itself scares me to death. But knowing I have this reassurance is comforting. My dream is to move to Iowa to be closer to my grandchildren and when I’m released and cleared to go, my daughter said she will drive me back here so I can continue my pain management with him. It’s approximately a 5 hour drive but she said he is worth every mile. To whom ever is reading this, if your looking for a doctor such as Dr. Lubenow, you truly don’t need to look any further. I promise you. In regards to his staff, I have not encountered any issues with any of them. I’m a “FREQUENT FLYER” lol and they all know me and address me by my first name as soon as they see me. I’m treated so kindly, more than just another patient. A special shout out to MIMI!! She is FANTASTIC!!!!! She is a patient Coordinator and has called me just to check in on me. I know what it’s like regarding finding a good doctor. It can be frustrating at times. I’ll end my review with this. Do not hesitate. Make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed. Blessings to all.

The doctor is amazing. He's very attentive, caring, very strict to ensure you are following your treatment plan, and he does just throw pain meds at you. He is very good at interventional anesthesia procedures. He has been a life saver and for the I can never repay him. He is truly God sent!

Very long walk from almost no parking in garage to the doctor’s office or area within multiple buildings. The hallways are not marked very well with instruction on where to go. Dr. Suvar listens to a person’s issues better than the resident training with them. But I fear the solutions are almost always invasive procedures that require a device implanted.

Friendly staff, P.A. Tom was very kind and took time to listen and discuss our issues/concerns. Dr. B also very kind and friendly, listening to concerns and quickly scheduled the procedure needed to aid in recovery of pain!! Great Team!

I was referred to see Dr. Suvar after having some post-op nerve pain. I was able to get in to see him in about a week, and I’m thankful I did. He and his staff were attentive and kind. Not only did he know right away what my issue probably was, I was able to have the necessary procedure the same day to resolve the issue. Minimal pain since I saw him. Admittedly, I did wait past my appointment time, but I have a hard time holding that against anyone because my own appointment was long and I didn’t feel rushed when discussing my concerns. I’ve been to two other pain doctors in the past and he is the first one that did not push medication as a solution.

Amazing care! Dr Suvar and his staff listened, examined and were able to immediately figure out my break thru pain, had my spinal stimulator re programmed & placed me on a new drug regimen. the focus is on healing not on opioids. these doctors CARE for the whole patient not just the disease.

I’m so glad I finally got to see Dr Lubenow. I was stubborn and was hoping after my fusion surgery I wouldn’t need the pain pump. My visit with him was awesome. He listened to everything I had to say and answered all my questions. I’m completely at ease with all of my future procedures with him. I just wish I had seen him sooner. I’m looking forward to a long fruitful relationship with Dr Lubenow.

Dr. Suvar is a caring physician. He truly listens to his patients. Treats them as humans and not as diseases. I’d recommend him to my friends and family. I work with him as well and he treats all of his patients as such. He’s awesome!!

Dr. Jaycox and his staff are always very professional and courteous when I come in for my appointments, but they truly outdid themselves on my most recent appointment (06/19). You see, I had a fall while trying to set up my mobility scooter. These wonderful people went to work making sure I laid still, assessing my injuries/damage, calling an ambulance. They also never left me alone, staying in shifts so everyone was still able to perform their tasks, and keeping my spirits up while we waited for the ambulance. I have always appreciated Dr. Jaycox and his staff, but I now have a new-found appreciation and respect for rhem. Thank You So Much for yesterday!!!

I went in for a visit to discuss a treatment that was referred by my rheumatologist. We didn’t even talk about that treatment. Instead Dr. Suvar spent less than 5 minutes talking to me. He prescribed me medication that he had to ask his PA how it worked for the pain and with the pain receptors in the brain. Then he wrote a prescription for a mg that doesn’t exist for that medication.

I had a history of chronic pain, tingling and numbness in my cervical region shooting down my right shoulder and arm, due to pinched nerve roots at C6-C7. No improvement after three months of physical therapy. As a next step I underwent epidural steroid injection and had 90% relief within days. At the time of this post it’s been three months and I am pain free. I highly recommend Dr Suvar.

He will know what treatment will work to solve and help ease the pain or remove it totally. Dr. Amin does not waste anytime trying to figure out the cause to what ales you. From his front office to interns doing clinical they proced to give you 100% of their time. Tries to rule out anything and everything to make you feel better or at least to understand the process of what will be done. Once you step out of his office you feel human again!
