I did a sleep study at St Elizabeth last night and I want to warn anyone that may want to consider this hospital. DO NOT subject your self to an outdated room that has a mattress that is over 10 years old with bumps all over the bed. It’s wrapped in a plastic mattress cover and it adds heat to your body in a room where the temperatures is already at 80+ degrees. This is inhumane and unethical to subject someone treatment in this environment. Consider yourself warned if you choose to select Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment. I will never do it again !

If you care about yourself or loved ones don't take them to this emergency center. After taking my autoimmune Deficient 86 year mother to this center no doctor or personnel ever came out to tell us anything. Meanwhile my poor mother is made to wait for over 8 hours with no food or water. She never was called to be seen by any doctor. My mother who is so weak she can barely walk. We went through 3 receptionists shift changes and each time I went to the desk to check when my mother might be seen by someone I was told "she is next on the list". Then several hours would go by. Meanwhile, other patients are being called. I have never seen such a poorly run emergency center. Why do they need to call the same patient 3 and 4 times. My mother went there because she could not breathe, we finally left at 6:30 after having been there since 10:45. There was only 1 other patient that was there as long as we were and they also left without being treated.

Almost died because they didn’t properly treat my ectopic.

Nurses are so disrespectful waiting room it’s more like a club loud music and nobody says nothing. No respect for other patients around them. Nurses will sit here and tell you do what ever you what to do so unprofessional. A lot had changed over the years. The way the nurses speaks to the patients you can tell they don’t care about their jobs.They don’t even ask what your allergic too…

Please find an alternate facility for yourself or your loved one.

Came in an ambulance with kidney stones and they sat me in the waiting room in a wheelchair. I was screaming in constant pain and they took other people back before me who could walk! Nurse was insanely rude and the doctor once in the room rolled her eyes at the PA, even though his initial concerns were what the problem ended up being. Rude, do not care for their patients, and speak down to them. Prescribed wrong medication and also said they gave me a referral but actually did not so now have to see multiple doctors to get help they said they provided. Worst hospital experience

worst hospital in the city. If you can avoid it and take your family member to a different hospital, I would strongly advise it. We didn't have an option as this was where the hospital brought my family member. Very, very poor staff in general and none of them do their jobs. Would give below 1 star if possible.

BE AWARE !! keep all of your receipts !! I did my physical exam for the immigration office and I had to pay in full for the service because it’s not included under health insurance. In 2 months I was surprised that I’m getting billed for their service, I called them and emailed them the receipts that was signed by one of their employees and the bank statement that shows that I paid in full , but they ignored all that and kept on sending me the bills then they sent my file to a collection agency. I’m not sure it’s a new way to make money from their patients or get tax reductions from the government!!!

Nurses were wonderful but billing was unfair. I was confined to a bed unable to walk because of a knee problem and hooked up to things. I was charged over $3000. For physical therapy that I did not and could not have done because, again, I could not get out of bed. I protested it but they claimed it was a valid charge. I do not know how they can justify this but somehow they are.

Be prepared to wait a very long time in the ER waiting room. It has been over eight hours waiting for my boyfriend to see a doctor. I would not recommend coming to this hospital. I'm sure others have had a positive experience with St. Mary's, but we haven't.

Took my wife today to the Er, had blood work done and was sent to the waiting room. She came in crying from abdominal pain and we both sat there waiting for 5 and a half hours because they were "busy". We decided to leave elsewhere, never coming to this useless place again

This place is extremly hard to get a message to your doctor, the patient portal never works, the nurses never have the correct answers and the front desk (according to the doctor) never deliver your messages.

The billing for this place has been a nightmare. The URL in their mail doesn't exist any longer so it's impossible to pay online. I've received the same repeat bill for months now, even after sending them the money the first time. Their phone lines are never available so it's impossible to speak to someone to fix the billing issue. It's either criminal or inept, and either way it's infuriating.

Had to pay for parking because one of their nurses double parked on the hospital parking. Waited almost an 1 hour waiting hit to find out they didn’t take my insurance

I went to this hospital for my mental health and I promise you I won't ever go back because all of the workers made fun of the kids that were there and they treated us really bad. It was like they tried to make us feel even worst then how when felt.

This hospital truly serves the underserved. Friendly staff. They took great care of my dad several times.

It is a magnificent medical clinic, has awesome help and excellent work staff and great specialists.

It is a good hospital i ever ban to

I had an MRI done on a very painful inguinal hernia. I needed the MRI done for surgery so I can get back to work. I got the MRI done on October 9th, and they said it would’ve taken 2-3 business days. It’s already NOVEMBER 1ST. I’ve called at least 20 times and no one can help me because they are saying that “I was never there” and “we lost your results”. I am currently out of work because I need surgery in order to go back to work. This is by far the worst care I’ve ever had. I’m in need of surgery for something very painful that’s getting worse, and I’m being pushed away and ignored. If I can give 0 stars, I would.

Me and my son went to visit my mother-in-law there three days ago and a lot of people were walking around without mask. My mother- in -law caught Covid in the hospital, when we got home from visiting my in law my son wasn’t feeling good like two days later and I did a Covid test on him and he came out POSITIVE ! So did three other people that went to visit her! They need to make it mandatory for everyone to wear masks NO EXCEPTIONS! THAT MAKES FOUR PEOPLE WHO CAUGHT COVID THERE!!

This place is illegal read the reviews and imagine having to work here.... I am a mental case and not a victim... I started working there because I was homeless and also a recovering abuser, to turn my life around and prove o can be a better me I started working there... This is the hospital where even the nurses go against their own job in which is to provide care of health even mental and instead they will be stress and even more manipulate u to do or feel worse... U ask me this is headquarters for the devil and Chicago is hell
