I like this garage! Clean and safe and accessible. What more could you ask for! The staff are professional and I enjoyed working with them. My 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 fits perfectly fine. A few inches to spare so drive slow. Don’t be alarmed by the low hanging bar as you enter. It says something like 6.7 feet. I have standard antenna and it was my guide as it would lightly hit sone of the signs but no contact. My 4x4 made it in and out safely.

I am a monthly parking garage user, paying a significant amount of $340 per month for two spots. While the manager of this parking garage place seems dedicated to proper management, I have encountered ongoing issues with the behavior of the employees, which undermines her efforts. Firstly, I want to bring attention to an incident where one of our cars was vandalized within the premises. It is disconcerting that it appears employees may be involved in facilitating such acts, as our car was vandalized in front of the security office. This raises concerns about the overall commitment to car security within the garage. Secondly, the employees' demeanor and attitude towards customers are highly unprofessional. I have personally witnessed instances where they yell at customers without any valid reason when seeking assistance. On one occasion, they assured us that we could park in a particular spot near the front office, only to retract their statement later, claiming it was reserved for employees. Additionally, I was appalled today when two employees made derogatory remarks about needing an interpreter to communicate with me based on their stereotypes about Hispanic people. Not only is this behavior unacceptable, but their habit of yelling instead of engaging in normal conversation is highly disrespectful. I have attached a picture showing one of the employees aggressively telling us that we "couldn't park there" and asking a third employee to “interpret” this to us (despite my education being entirely in English from 4th grade to PhD). Furthermore, rather than offering alternative parking options, the employee in the attached photo continued to yell and escalate the situation unnecessarily. It is unreasonable for three employees to confront a customer simply for parking in a certain area when there were plenty of empty spots in the front (especially considering it was a quiet Sunday evening). The excessive response raises concerns of potential discrimination and racism, which I highlighted to them for them to roll their eyes at me. Lastly, none of them like to provide names under any circumstance, making it difficult to address specific individuals responsible for their unprofessional behavior. Only after speaking to the manager to request a refund did I find that one of the employees’ names is “Josh”. Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with the current state of affairs and feel both unsafe for myself and concerned about the security of the parked cars. The lack of professionalism, derogatory remarks, and excessive confrontations by the employees have created an environment that is unwelcoming and distressing. I urge the management to address these issues promptly and effectively. Increased security measures, respectful and professional behavior from the employees, proper customer service training, and a clear policy regarding appropriate conduct should be implemented to ensure a safe and pleasant parking experience for all patrons. I trust that the necessary steps will be taken to rectify these ongoing problems and restore a sense of security and professionalism to the parking garage. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I expect to see prompt action in resolving these concerns. Update: after my interaction with these individuals, my car was scratched up AGAIN within 48 hours.

My fiancé and I thought this garage would be a perfect place to park as it was central to all we wanted to accomplish downtown. We don't get to go downtown often, so we were trying to figure everything out. The garage was a little confusing, and there was no body there to tell us where we were allowed to park, so we found what we thought was a fine place to park. We didn't notice any specific labels on the walls or spaces. When it came time to leave the garage, there were multiple attendants there. One specifically came up to our window when it was time to pay and asked us why we parked in employee parking. My fiancé tried to apologize and explain that we didn't know and there was no one there to tell us where to park when we got there, but before he could, the attendant yelled at us. He told us not to do it again and that we would be fined and towed the next time we had a parking violation. He also said this was our "last warning." (Again, we have never been here before) Another attendant (who was standing there during all of this) was rude to us when we needed help with paying for our parking. All in all, our experience here was very unpleasant. This was our first and last time ever parking here. If you are looking for good customer service, this is not the place to go for parking downtown.

This is an underground parking garage. Keep your eye out for it. I passed it twice. Update: We parked for a week! If visiting my home town Chicago. Need parking? Not sure what to do? Go online and pay for how many days you need! No fuss, just show the paper work, and the guy told us to scan your paperwork at the machine-scanner. Gate opened. Here is another helpful tip: Take a photo of your spot and location. Enjoy my home town of Chicago. Be back next year for our vacation. See pic to where to enter.

I park here regularly. Spots are bigger than most, so my doors are not being hit all the time. 3 levels underground. Only thing is that late at night, you need to see who is around when your going down the stairs . They have security , but they are never around the entrance where you pay. Either the bums who are super aggressive or guys trying to catch you at the machine paying.

I love the location of this garage because it’s literally in the heart of downtown. I also didn’t think the price was too bad for downtown Chicago —especially during the Taste—which boasted having the most expensive parking meters in the US years ago. It was also easy to find our vehicle due to the signs that marked our location throughout the garage. That said, you can expect to pay $40-$60 for about 6+ hours. Again, this is not bad for downtown Chicago, but of course it’s a ridiculous price, generally speaking.

Fantastic place to park if you want your car, and multiple others nearby broken into. Dozens of windows smashed throughout the lot including right in front of the office and nobody on the staff noticed? I would advise strongly parking elsewhere, sure feels like the staff here is either working with the thieves or is massively incompetent, they were great at collecting our money though...

Conveniently located downtown near all the sites. Affordably priced especially through spothero. Well managed.

Easy in and out. I don't park in downtown Chicago often, but this seems expensive. It is however a great location.

Wow, what a bad experience. I had used this lot several times before on my previous trips but this was strangely the worst. First, it was intimidating as there were many people standing around at both the entry and the exits. We weren't sure if they worked there or were street vagrants. The entry sign when we entered at 9:25 AM clearly stated $17 early bird. We left 2 hours later. First, the payment machine was being serviced and there were no other machines we could find on Level 2. All the signs clearly stated that customers needed to pay before returning to their vehicle. We drove up to the 1st level and still couldn't find any machines to make payment. I drove to the exit gate and saw about 6 people standing around. Again, who were they and why were they standing around? I got out of the car to ask where I should pay and one of the ladies began yelling at me to get back in my car. I kept asking "Where do I pay?" and she kept yelling at me to get back in my car. I tried to calm her down by telling her I was simply asking where I should pay. Finally, someone else intervened and and told me I could pay at the gate. Imagine my surprise when the screen said I had to pay $30 for 2 hours, not the $17 early bird. When questioned, one of the other people standing around said it was only on weekends. The sign was small, crowded and confusing, so I guess it the the job of extracting extra payment from tourists. The extra $13 won't change my life but I most definitely paid nowhere near that on my last visit pre-COVID. I see management replies with the standard copy/paste. Nah, nothing else to say. Maybe management can explain to me and other customers who all those people were who were standing around intimidating customers.

Received an error message that my reservation couldn't be completed, but the transaction still came out of my bank account. This could be a simple fix but when I call customer service for Millennium Garages (I've tried Grant Park South option, Accounting, etc), I only get a voicemail and no live rep. I'll have to dispute the charge with my bank now. Not at all happy with this service at this point. Update: I emailed the provided email that they responded with. It has been two weeks and still no response. Don't be fooled by their responses to the reviews, they only actually care that they received an unsatisfactory review. So if the same happens to you, don't even bother with this company. Go straight to the bank to dispute and I'll be using SpotHero next time, thanks!

Great place to park! Very good location, lots of space (remember your spot. I took a picture :). I've paid for a seven-day period, all done by their website. I got a digital barcode on my phone, and everything worked just fine. Oh, finally, they have in and out privilege...just perfect for a long period!

For the second time in a year, I arrived at the garage with a pre-paid ParkWhiz reservation 40 minutes before curtain time only to find the entrance closed with no explanation. There were cars exiting from the entrance, and no attendant anywhere to tell people like me with reservations what to do. Fortunately, I managed to find another garage and made it to the concert hall just in time, but it was infuriating and potentially expensive. Now I have to deal with ParkWhiz to get a refund, even though this clearly was not their fault. Incidentally, even though I park in this garage often, I have to agree that exit signage -- particularly for drivers -- is terrible.

Very unclear and unprofessional instructions. Arrived before 10 AM to take advantage of a $17 rate that said 5 hours. No rates or explanation of rates are posred anywhere at the pay kiosks or anywhere in the parking areas which could easily be done because of very ample wall space! Instead of paying $17, I had to pay $34because I stayed only 4 hours!, Not 5 or more! What garage had a policy like that? A total rip-off.

I was a monthly parker for 3 years during the pandemic and never had an issue. Ever since I switched to a discounted daily parker, because I come into the office less often, I've had nothing but issues every single time I come to work. Just last week we cleared up a whole big ordeal and today my parking key card didn't work to let me get into the garage, yet again. Very disappointed! And, not to mention, they keep increasing the prices without notification or warning to regular parkers.

Good location as far as proximity to touristy things I wanted to go see. Had trouble with the payment machine and ended up having to pay with the staff at the booth on the way out.

Parking for 12 to 24+ hours is reasonably priced, but you must make a reservation online. The fact that Samantha was so amiable, competent, and helpful contributed greatly to my satisfaction with their service. Her ability to find solutions made us happy. Samantha, I'm grateful.

My experience was really superlative there (yes, I know it's a parking garage). I'm from Milwaukee and while I have used both the North and South Grant Park garages before, I don't always know where the kiosks are, but staff really went the extra mile to be helpful and totally friendly... and cool.

No complaints here; super simple process of reserving your spot online ahead of time (great rebate, too) and arriving prepared with the barcode to scan at the entry. Our vehicle was parked securely in the second level and was in perfect condition when we returned! Super quick to exit the garage and continue our travels. Tip: book online ahead of time, you'll save a decent amount of money and time! We paid ~$13USD for 8 hours on a Sunday.

Frequently on ParkWhiz and SpotHero at cheap prices. DON’T drive up to pay. Can save up to 90% in my experience. Great for anywhere around Millennium or Grant Parks, CSO, Art Institute…

If you want an easy to get in and out, and at a decent price, parking downtown, use this location. You can reserve it online for cheap, and just get in and out using your phone. An 8 hour parking was $11 for me. That is unheard of on Michigan Ave.

  • 5/5 Monika A. 2 years ago on Google
Super easy to get in and out, and a great price on spot hero if you want a day downtown at the art museum, by the lake or millennium park. Highly recommend and will be using again.

Once you figure out where to go, it is a pretty cool place to park. Easy to get in, easy to get out, decent price if you use Spot Hero and the attendants are helpful.

Safe and clean parking! Easy access to hotels, tourist sites, and restaurants. 4 minute walk to Palmer House Hilton Hotel. It was very clean and safe. Just make sure your vehicle isn’t too tall, as it is an underground garage (we drove a Ford pickup that barely fit because the ceiling are quite low. Our antenna hit the whole time, and the top scraped lightly, once or twice).

Go online to purchase parking at a discount. This location, is a little bit of a walk to the Shedd or field. Give yourself 30 min to walk there from this parking garage. Otherwise great prices, nice garage

It's ok. A maze yet there is available parking. Staff is helpful. No wifi so pulling up a ticket is difficult if you didn't do it in advance.

The location is so good just in the middle of downtown, about the price I dont remember but i think it was around $25 so expensive but I used the application spot hero and it did cost me $13 all day it was Sunday so I don't know if that will affect the price , the bean is near by and park the museum so very good spot

Possibly the worst customer service. I have a parking arrangement with the CSO. When I last used the garage, there's no sign indicating how to access parking with the arrangement. Employees assume that you use the garage all the time so using the pass is second nature. I made a mistake and tried to fix it and just got yelled at as i tried to explain the mistake. Similar experience when I tried to access this perk the first time as CSO have me incorrect directions. No interest in actually helping customers, just want a power trip and control. Convenient location for theatre district and Michigan Ave.

We paid for parking from 11:30am to 3pm the next day and it was $38 - not too bad. Also, when you pay ahead you get a bar code in an email that you can print or bring up on your phone to scan when you enter and when you leave and you do don't have to deal with retrieving a ticket, paying for it, and using it to exit. The garage itself as a little confusing for a first timer, especially trying to follow the exit signs. We ended up parking on the 3rd level down which was fine and had plenty of space. We took some cell phone shots of the signed indicated where we parked just in case we had issues finding our way back. Some people have complained about the smell but we did not really notice that except for in the stairway a bit. Lastly - we stayed at the Congress Hotel, saw Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me at the Fine Arts Theater, and went to Giordanos, Kil Wins, and the Art Institute - the parking was almost in the middle of it all so easy walking.

Great parking option for extended stays. Saved a ton by purchasing online prior to our trip. Free and unlimited ins and outs by scanning the barcode on your pass. Our hotel was 1 block off from this garage, so very convenient. Highly recommend!

We were visiting Chicago and didn't know our way around. Other than being caught off guard that the parking garage entrance was accessed from the middle of the street instead of to the right hand side, the whole process was super easy and we'd use Millenium parking again.
