The Dollhouse was fun and our instructor was hilarious. She made us laugh so much. I loved how she never broke out of character. My biggest issue with this place is how dirty it was. Bathrooms were gross. The escape room had hair, dirt, stains, etc. I understand the retro theme but I didn’t expect for it to not be cleaned since the 80s. Hopefully they can hire a cleaning person at least once every 2 weeks to keep this awesome place clean.

Been there a few months ago. The escape room is okay overall. Their best part is immersion: the room looks very immersive with lots of interesting details and the staff did great in playing their roles in the story. However, the room is also full of decorations (for immersion purposes) that are not allowed to be touched---these objects mixed with keys and clues really made us quite confused and we almost missed some clues because we didn't know if we could touch them! For reference, in other escape rooms I've been to, the decorative objects are usually allowed to be touched. Not allowing players to touch items also breaks the immersion. Another thing we were struggling with was the lack of connections between puzzles and answers. Usually in an escape room, you struggled finding an answer but once you found it, it's apparent which puzzle it solved---I don't feel that's the case here. Solving puzzles is fun but trying to match puzzles and answers randomly is not so much.

Our game master (Nova) was incredible and definitely contributed to why we had such a great time. The rooms are very well put together, fun to play, and have unique and engaging puzzles. I’ve done a lot of room and Escape Artistry is on the top of my list now.

Excellent experience. Agent Nova and agent Splits were top notch trainers. Great space for an escape room, nicely laid out, and good quality challenge. Would definitely recommend a visit!

We celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday at the Escape Artistry. The kids had an amazing time, the staff we were fun and playful. I would definitely recommend for any kids party. I cant wait to go back myself and try it out! Thanks for making her day special.

It's a great place to go as a group outing of friends. Ensure you have some smart friends with you as it is not easy

Took my little brother here for a fun afternoon. We were both first timers and this was such a great experience for us. Rosie was our "Time Travel Agent" and she did an amazing job of really selling the experience from the moment we opened the door to the moment we left. I feel like that truly made it an awesome experience, just that little bit of enthusiasm and committing to the role and overall theme made the experience better than if you'd just walked in and talked to some customer service person at a front desk that took you to a room. Will definitely be back to try the other rooms. We definitely recommend the Pirate room here!

Agent Jace ran a great room for 6 (ages 19-60), Operation G.R.A.N.I.E., on June 11! Puzzles were complex and required teamwork. Agent was very in character and made the whole thing a lot of fun. Premise of the room was that you're exploring your grandmother's house and she's actually an undercover spy. Definitely recommend!

Such a great time! They really go into the time travel theme and it's really fun. Think a Loki TVA vibe but with less murder :) The puzzles were tricky but not too hard. We did the Duck and Cover puzzle with just 3 and we were able to finish just in time. There were some small technical issues, but our host was able to help out, and it didn't impact our overall experience. What a super fun time! Thanks for having us!

I went with 3 friends on Saturday and we traveled in time 3 times. I've played plenty of escape rooms before and these are definitely some of the best I've played! Agent Jase and Agent Croke were both fantastic, very friendly and fun! I will definitely be going back to experience the other adventures they have available, and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have fun with friends and stretch their brains!

Wonderful experience! We did operation Granie with two adults and four kids ages eight to eleven and everyone had a blast! We live in the city and just wanted to do a staycation this spring break and this was definitely a perfect activity for the week! I definitely recommend it. We went with one other family and we definitely will do it again.

Agent Splits and all the workers at this space were fun, helpful, and supportive. Our team had a great time with a fair, challenging series of puzzles themes around an engaging Chicago history based story and good flow around the room. Highly recommend!

Pretty good experience here! The mysteries were pretty fun and huge kuddos to the employees who know how to give just enough tips when you're stuck to make sure you're moving along.

Very nice and pleasant experience. The pirate room was fun, even though it had pretty standard escape room challenges. Would come back to try the others.

We had a great time playing Detective v Dillinger. It was a well-balanced escape room, challenging but fair (and I've done a lot of escape rooms!). The room had an immersive ambience, a beautiful array of puzzles, and was not so linearly designed as to be boring for a group of 4 looking to all dig in at once. Plus we had a super enthusiastic and funny time traveling agent help us out -- thanks, Jace!

This was our first time doing an escape room. It was one adult and two children ages third grade and sixth grade. We did the pirate room and Agent Jase helped us with navigating this first experience. It was a lot of fun. Will definitely come again.

Our experience was strange and dysfunctional. We received something like 3 versions of the starting instructions and an additional set printed out after that. The facilitator constantly talked over a recorded set for little to no reason. The room was not set up correctly, as there were missing parts to a puzzle that we think were mixed up with a clue from another room, as it didn’t quite fit the theme. When we tried to use hints to get help, our hints were delayed by the facilitator, so we wasted about 10 minutes discovering that the room wasn’t set up appropriately. Whenever we asked for hints, we were also communicated with in a way that was unclear and condescending, and repeatedly had to do additional things to “earn” our hints (e.g. our facilitator required us to sing and then dance for one, another we had to do a series of harmless but bizarre affirmations - it all seemed pretty unprofessional and wasted a lot of time). One of the lock codes to a door was the address of the escape room establishment, which did not seem to be hinted at in any way by the other material. We were told another major puzzle lock box that we spent a lot of time trying to complete was a “red herring”. The facilitator communicated with us over an intercom that failed to work repeatedly (cut in and out mostly, but other times it was too quite). I’ve done maybe 4 other escape rooms at various other establishments, and I’ve never encountered anything like this.

Our experience bordered on potentially genius anti-escape room performance art. More disappointing than a life-long father figure telling you that you’ve let them down. Many items were missing. Clues were missing. My will to live was missing. Dillinger is still at large, and I honestly wish him the best.

I had a blast! I came with a group and all of us had a great time. We’ll definitely be back!
