Chicago’s
hidden
gem.
Popular
beach
for
locals,
but
it’s
a
must
visit
for
one-of-a-kind
nature
experience:
a
dog
beach,
a
human
beach,
a
couple
piers
that
jet
out
into
the
lake,
a
natural
dune,
bird
sanctuary,
butterfly
sanctuary,
bike
trails,
hiking
trails,
long
lakefront
views,
boating
dock,
fields
of
grass
to
just
relax
and
people
watch,
bird
watch,
nature
watch
and
more.
The
stewards,
Chicago
Parks,
the
Nature
Conservancy
and
everyone
that
has
worked
hard
to
conserve
this
beach
should
be
congratulated
on
a
great
job.
It’s
doing
so
well,
that
the
locally
famous
couple
of
endangered
Piping
Plover’s,
Monty
and
Rose
call
this
home.
