I've been going to Lawndale since 2009 and I have to stay things have dramatically declined so much for the worse during their expansion. They are no longer the same, they don't value their patients As before. You can try and call and you'll be waiting for ever or just get hanged up on. They just rush you through not even spending 5 minutes till they rush out to the next patient. I didn't felt like my concerns were heard. Unfortunately I will say the pediatric center is wonderful and dearly love the doctors and staff. But for adults like my self , they don't care. And I will be looking for another clinic to go to

If I could put 0 stars I would. I made my first appointment on July 31st I’m newly pregnant. I was scheduled with Dr. Nick Eckert, first he told me my iron was low & my sugar was high so he wanted to draw blood to do some tests. I left that day after they drew about 4-6 tubes of blood. August 1st he called me and said “I’m sorry to inform you but I believe you have diabetes and you had it before this pregnancy. We need to monitor your blood 4 times a day I’m sending over the glucose test to your CVS can you pick it up and have a nurse visit on Friday to show you how it works.” I was in complete shock. How the hell do I have diabetes and my previous doctor never caught it? No one in my family has diabetes either. August 2nd I went to CVS after work and picked up the glucose test, $85. I told my parents, some friends and I was more than worried and stressed over the news. I didn’t eat worried about putting too much sugar into my body, I was only drinking water. Maybe 2 hours after getting home Dr. Eckert calls me “I have good news and bad news, the good news is you don’t have diabetes there was a lab error, the bad news is if you picked up the stuff I apologize” Seriously??? I let him know I just picked up the stuff and he said CVS should take it back because it’s not opened. Well guess what CVS state policy is once it leaves the store it can’t be returned. Now fast forward to today August 10th, I have tried to reach him for a couple days now and he has not called me back. He is MIA, ignoring my messages to call me back. I spent 20 minutes being transferred back and forth and no one seems to want to help me. I need to be reimbursed my $85 for your clinics mistake. This has caused me and my unborn baby more stress that I have ever felt. AND on top of this he prescribed me with prenatals & baby aspirin without verification that I was 12 weeks when I’m actually 7 weeks pregnant. baby aspirin can cause fetal complications if given early or when not needed at all. I let him know I was taking OneDay prenatals so I’m not sure why he gave me prenatals to begin with so that’s another thing I shouldn’t be mixing. Overall I’m annoyed, irritated, stressed and will take legal action. Don’t come to this clinic!!

Excellent clinic I have been treated by them for more than 20 years and they always treat you with great respect and care. The medical service is very good. The nurses and doctors are always available and ready to serve you. I would highly recommend them in addition to the services they provide and The medicines are cheaper compared to large pharmacies except if you have insurance, but if you have to pay for them, they are too expensive and many people do not have the medical insurance or the means to buy them, thank you very much LCHC.

Stay away from Dr. Kimberly Bolden. She is extremely rude and arrogant. She speaks down to people and doesn't measure her words. A title means NOTHING if you are disrespectful to the way you speak to others. She needs to check herself before speaking to others.

Do NOT go to this facility! Terribly understaffed, unconcerned & not punctual. I feel bad for the civilians that have to use this place as their last resort because of their healthcare options. My doctor didn’t even show up for her own appointment!

I made an appointment two weeks ago and never was called for my video call. I called and they said someone will attend me shortly.... 4 hours later and still have not received my appointment phone call and clinic is closed... This clinic has wasted my time as I urgently needed to speak with a doctor and now I need to wait even longer to get another appointment during these hard times.. Thanks for wasting my time..

Don’t see Dr, James Melia at the east clinic. Don’t go the the east clinic overall. I’ve gone to this clinic for years and today was the worst experience. Dr James was not profesional since he walked in the room. He didn’t even greet or introduced himself. I needed paperwork completed for a medical report for work (children care requirement). Dr was rude and in a rush. He seemed confused about the form and my overall medical history. I was going to mention some minor symptoms I was experiencing but he was just cold and ended the appointment by making me follow him out of the room to make a copy. On top of it all. I waited 2.5 hrs to be seen. While I was waiting by the lab Dr Meliá walked to find me asked to see my docs that he has just given me as if he wasn’t even sure about what he had just provided me. Overall bad experience. When I’ve been seen in the general central clinic doctors have been welcoming and great care. The east clinic overall is a bad environment. Receptionist were on the cell phone often. I took the time to write the review because I am extremely disappointed.

This place has changed over the years, for the worse. Arguing with you on your appointments the operator telling you one time vs texting confirmation. Telling you you are wrong. Virtual appointments are a joke. Can you measure your blood pressure? With what? Give a heads up next time what entails with a virtual appointment. Not being on time either. If you can’t keep your scheduled appointments yet when your patients are 10min late you cancel that’s unprofessional. Hold your staff accountable too. Train them too not to laugh at you on the phone. Train them to be empathetic.

Been here with my dad who is 79yrs old since 10:30am for a schedule appointment. There is no valid reason why he still hasn’t been call. Very upset right now. Wished I could give them a negative-10. There is no sorry for inconvenience I work at a out patient faculty. To have a 79yr old patient waiting over an hour is un caused for.

I am making this review for my grandmother. Originally this facility was a place she felt heard, safe, and helped. While I understand covid has impacted us all and tensions have been high it does not call for the unprofessionalism she has received recently. Today is the third time I have heard her stressed out about the miscommunication she has received regarding her appointments. The first time they scheduled her and when she went in they told her she was no where to be found. They sent her home. The second time she came in a little early for a 9:45 appointment and no one had called her to the back when her time was set. There excuse was the machine needed to warm up and the person did not arrive until 15 mins before her appointment. There were multiple patients ahead of her and they were not being seen as well. The third time she got in contact with the facility they laughed at her while she tried to speak English to the staff. The unprofessionalism is disappointing and I hope they can treat their patients better instead of miscommunicating, teasing, and brushing off their concerns.

Had an appt at 1030 am, on time. It is now 115 pm and still haven’t seen the doctor. Make it make since. Was told there were 3 ppl ahead of me at 1030. It like they’re taking an hour per patient. What’s the purpose of an appt if you’re not sticking to the schedule. But let you be 10 mins late they cancel you, it should be the same for the doctors and staff to hold them accountable & not slack off. If you don’t want patients wasting your time stop wasting ours. This appt had been scheduled for weeks in advance.

Don’t go to dr.barber unless u want a lawyer instead of a nurse does not help clients she will argue with you and not help with you when you’re in a difficult situation. Now I can’t breathe tonight because she will not write me an inhaler prescription . If I go to ER tonight I will make sure 100% to take her to court for pain and suffering.

How does a clinic have urgent care Monday through Friday only, and doesn’t accept walk-ins? In my humble opinion the reasoning behind these issues is because of the population this clinic serve. And to top this off, patients is being seen and serviced (for the most part) by STUDENTS!! Can you imagine this kind of medical treatment given to our Mayor, Alderman, Governor, State Rep, or anyone in these ppl families? Nope! We’re the lab rats and once these ppl finish their training on/with us they then go and service a higher level of (class) social economic and provide excellent services. According to the the services that’s offered to us, It sucks being treated based upon ones economic status.

Soon we left from the appointment my son was dead in his car seat and his finger and lip were turning purple at the doctors but all they said was that was NORMAL About Everything ! If you want a crazy doctor that will scream and hollow over the phone on a telehealth call that will call you at 2:00 when your appointment was at 2:45 and refuse to give you your refills on your medicine saying you are throwing a lot of things at me a prescription like wow and then then more hollering at you then the big unprofessional HANG UP in your face with out warning or even a bye that Gabrielle Barber MD is the best perfect doctor for you she will give the anxiety that you need because she gave me big huge one thank you I so needed that unprofessional tele health visit. Oh make you feel less than a person she is your lady Thanks for making me shake and nervous for the rest of my work day.

Been a patient over 30 years and the larger this company become the further away from their core practices they are removed... Patient care follow up is near none existence, Customer service is almost abolished, and to get a call answered or returned is basically a tragedy...I pray that they remember their mission statement from when they were a small clinic that cared about the spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical health of their patients/ community...

Can't recommend. Through poor communication and questionable prioritization, I've wasted many hours waiting for service at a shelter, only to be denied (pushed off several days.) Even when I was on a priority list, I was immediately given odd excuses, then denied service after a three hour wait. This was after being told "you're next." LCHC is disrespectful of clients' time and puts their health at risk through irresponsible delayed care.

Melissa Pryess in was rude, condescending and disrespectful. She also lied on my medical records. Dealing with her during my pregnancy stressed me out so much so, that I decided to switch to a different doctor altogether. Needless to say, the lady they gave me after her (still inside Lawndale facility) was NO BETTER. Granted I was sick. However, that doesn't mean it's okay to tell me I'm going to die (when that isn't definite) every 3 seconds simply because I chose to trust my intuition instead of her fear. She spoke to me with contempt and insulted my intelligence. Which was disappointing, seeing as though I went into Lawndale seeking to be heard and understood. I thought I'd be able to get support from my own community but, unfortunately I was viewed at as ignorant and was scrutinized when I challenged their ideas. For them to pride themselves in being "God Fearing", when I received an unflattering diagnosis they went straight to gloom and doom. No words of encouragement, or offers of prayer. Melissa was arrogant and dismissive. And so was the woman after her. Don't get me wrong, they aren't all bad. But if you plan on going here for prenatal care, make sure you get a doctor who listens to you. They spoke death over my child. Meanwhile, my baby was delivered full term, happy and healthy. He had no problems whatsoever because God was ultimately on my side and I followed Him instead of man. I trusted Him and He delivered. Had I took their advice, idk where me or my baby would be right now. So make sure you pray, listen to your body and be careful when choosing a doctor here. They aren't as in tune with the Holy spirit as they attempt to portray.

What I like about this health center are that the doctors and staffs actually care about the patients instead of only care about the money. The doctors that I'm seeing are very caring and always asking questions to ensure the health of the patients' physical and emotional wellbeing. From my previous doctor visit, I can see that Dr. Casey was taking her time to do my physical check up to make sure everything is alright with me instead of rushing through it. Besides, when I was feeling a dizzy after drawing bloods, the nurse was so nice trying to find ice-pack for me and even gave me a bottle water to drink. She was really trying to make sure that I am okay before I leave. I really appreciate her act of kindness and that definitely make a difference!

I’ve been going to this clinic over 29 years from the receptionist to the head of this clinic has been nothing but professional kind caring ETC . I love my Dr . Catherine Lin I wouldn’t change her for nothing , not to say the other physicians are not great but she’s been my physician since she started along time ago . Let’s not forget about the dentist they are great as well , when you mentioned Dentist we get afraid and wants to back out, not here at Lawndale the staff make you very comfortable and assure you there’s nothing to be afraid of. I Love this Clinic and the staff . Thank you Lawndale for your service.

I am extremely disappointed because even if I call the receptionist and inform them that I will be late if the doctor sees me and they say yes when I arrive, they still say no. The worst part is that the doctor never sees you on time. It's a common occurrence for me to wait for one or two hours to see the doctor, even if I have an appointment.

My baby which is only 9 years old had her appointment for the dentist canceled 3x by them!! They are aware that she has a emergency and have prescribed her medications for this!! But instead the girls at the front desk can’t get their lies together! First they canceled my appointment without a phone call I had to call them and they said due to a Covid test I informed them that on Saturday I took my daughter to get a pcr test and I have the results!! A few hours later I received a call saying the doctors had a emergency!! I was very upset so I hung up to call back again to get someone else to tell me because the Covid test was not done there this is the reason!! I’m confused is the doctor out or is it because of a Covid test that I have the results for?? She puts me on hold and never comes back to the phone and magically after 5 minutes of holding the phone disconnected!! I still have a 9 year old at home in pain and they act like they can’t understand my frustration her appointment has be canceled 3x with no explanation!!

I really hope that someone that could and would do something about my issue sees this. I have been waiting for a month to get looked at and helped, and just a few days before my appointment I get a text saying “We’re sorry, you’re appointment has been cancelled” By who? When? Not one gave me a call nor texted me asking me if I wanted to cancel and now all they have to say at the front desk is “well, your appointment has been canceled but there is another opening in July”… Seriously, if I called at the beginning of May! I know this is in part public services but take accountability and a little care for your job! Why did they have to go and put me again at the end of the month, if I’m telling them I didn’t cancel my appointment why can’t they try to help me and see what else is there to offer, it is disappointing and it hurts to see these are the kind of services that low income folks get just because these people don’t feel like lifting a finger and rather just dismiss you and say, “whatever you wanna do” over the phone. And now because of their negligence I have to wait another freaking month in pain or like they said, “go somewhere else”. The front desk girl had nothing to say and sounded very unprofessional to then give the phone to Ethel, and she proceeded to tell me what I was already told and add “You can call again and see if there is an opening sooner” without the slightest of care. Cause at the end I am the one hurting. I just hope that no one goes there on a life threatening situation because with those type of services they will die waiting … SMH

I attempted to make 2 new patient appointments and got nowhere. I want to say the customer service that answers the phone is very unprofessional and lacks knowledge of insurance. This is very sad because this is a community that needs a good healthcare location.

Absolutely wonderful people. I was so worried after injuring my ribs, and the doctor kept reassuring me. The nurse, Rachel, was also incredibly kind. Erin, the doctor, answered all of my questions, and she helped me on next steps after leaving. I can't thank them enough.

This rating strictly refers to the man working behind the 3860 clinic front desk. When I walked into the building, I couldn't believe he refused to give me a mask because I was going to the gym and not the clinic. Besides how crazy that is in general, he refused to provide and support good and safe health practices and standards. I have experienced another time when he was rigid, unreasonable, or not customer friendly or professional enough, reminding me of workers who act like they personally own (public) spaces and services, which can be dangerous, particularly as here in public health services. Would somebody responsible please tell him that that public desk "service" is not about him is his?

Doctors at this clinic are good, but the phone answering sevice is not... taking your son or daughter to see a doctor shouldn't be like wining the lottery. Is not okay that we have to call early in the morning to get a same day doctor's appointment and it takes a very long period of time to talk to someone and when they finally answer they put you on hold 🙄 and when they come back at you is just to tell you that they will transfer you to the pediatric clinic and theres another long wait; ones in the pediatric line you're told that they don't have any other available appointments that day and for you to try again the next day.

Waited for a month for this appointment 3/28 front desk lady for got to check me in. Appointment was at 3:45pm. I was rushed in at 4:45. Didn't even get 10 mins to try to address all my concerns to the doctor because they closed at 5pm and I had to get labs done. So basically I didn’t get my full physical or Pap smear because of her careless mistake. So disappointed and I have so many health concerns. I will have to look elsewhere quickly because I wasn’t even offered another appointment. Wonder if I can take this further..

And when I contacted them about it they basically told me they have other things to do and they will fax it when they get to ut it has been 8 days and they still dont know when
