Almost all employees are rude, especially the two pictured. The person on the register blamed the older gentleman for not grabbing his drink. It spilled all over him and the floor and they didn't clean it up for about 10 minutes. Everyone after me in line was served before my order and never got a receipt. I went up to ask about my order and the guy pictured was extremely rude. I snapped his picture and he tried calling over security for a "white person" taking his photo. Not worth it!!! Will eat anywhere else but here. Ohare should be more careful with their hiring.

I mean, it’s airport food. What do you expect? I feel like these reviews are a little harsh when I’m reality, this place is fine. Fries are great, burger is tasty and the hot dog is good too. Chicken was a miss, not a ton of flavor. Otherwise, did the job. Service was pretty mid but they’re understaffed and probably hate working there more than you hate having to be at the airport. All-in-all, fine by me!

1 star is too much for that experience Burger is quiet ok, but nothing special. But it’s definitely not worth 16$ for that piece of bread. Unfriendly staff, don’t seem so that they care about any customer. Very slow. Seems like they don’t want to work. Look like they are forced to work like in old egypt. No smile no facing, no words, bad mood. Very poor.

If 0 star exists, this would be it. My bf spent $31 on this piece of bread and chicken, fries. No veggies, nothing. I don’t know how they still let this place run. My bf had to ask for veggies that were SUPPOSED TO BE on the food separately, no apologies or anything. The workers here act like we asked for free food. Tbh go to Hudson for a better sandwiches. We basically had to make our own. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE, I BEG YOU. YOU BETTER BE OFF STARVING, AND WAIT FOR AIRPLANE FOOD.

The workers here have the worst attitudes with the exception of the cashier. It’s clear that they don’t like their jobs. The way they handle the food is ridiculous. Have pride in what you do on don’t work there at all. Service is slower than ever. It took me 30 mins to order my food and another 30 to get my food. Yes the airport is busy but perhaps having a better system and people who actually care would move things a long much quicker.

Ok. So first of all… the burger here is pretty good and Crispy Chicken Sandwich is really good. However, I’ve eaten here three times and EVERY time, the service SUCKS! S-U-C-K-S-! It’s the lunch rush and Terminal 5 at ORD doesn’t have a lot of choices. I’m not in a huge hurry, so I figure I’ve got the time to wait… and wait and wait and wait, apparently. The girl taking orders kept wandering off to chat with the other people behind the counter. The guy prepping the sandwiches was all smiles and laughs (with his co-workers) and VERY slow. The girl bagging and calling out numbers… what peach she was. Yeah a peach, like a Wolverine with hemorrhoids. The ONLY guy really working was the guy at the grill. He was flying, not over-socializing with co-workers, not at all unpleasant, just GRINDING! I think from now on when I travel through O’Hare, I’ll go with the convenience store sushi and endure the diarrhea on the flight. At least I’ll enjoy some friendly service.

Garbage. Waited over 20 minutes for fries and had my ticket skipped while over a dozen tickets got filled ahead of mine. When I politely brought it up to their attention, I was met with attitude. Dude didn’t even look at me. Kept filling other orders with fries.

Very interesting business model. The staff simply talked between themselves and didn’t take orders while the line got longer. No orders for over 20 minutes and the staff could care less. The only reason the line moved was because people gave up and walked away. A third person finally came to take orders but she may have been less engaged than her he others if that’s possible

While waiting in line it became very clear very quickly that the staff had a tremendous attitude with the white customers. So much so that I didn't bother to order anything because I didn't want to deal with the obvious attitude they were giving everyone who was white. So I can't say if the food is any good, but with employees like that, I can say that I will never bother to find out.

Wow I’ve never seen a restaurant with this low of rating and I feel like this is accurate. I didn’t check the ratings beforehand so I was excited to try it. I ordered the 3 piece chicken strips with buffalo and ranch sauce on the side. I spent about $11. The food came out fairly quick and when I took a look at my meal, I knew why. I had received three of the tiniest chicken strips, it looked it was made from a baby chick… the amount of fried that I got was disrespectful.. The food tasted mediocre, I liked the buffalo sauce though. The service wasn’t bad but it wasnt great either. I do not recommend. Honestly, by the look of the ratings, they should make adjustments or give the space to a restaurant that will try. Sorry not sorry.

Horrible, overpriced crunchy burger that took almost an hour to make. Poor staffing who clearly didn’t care and just a complete disorganised mess. One star is FAR too much for this place.

RJGrunts has the rudest most inconsiderate employees in your entire airport. Worst service ever. Yelling at customers and just so entitled for minimum wage employees. If you don’t like your job, change jobs. All 3 working were rude. October 4, 2022 1pm

Seeing all the reviews here surprised me - I honestly had a very pleasant experience at R.J. Grunts. Easy ordering, fast preparation, tasty burger. The price keeps me from giving it 5 stars, but looking at the other options in Terminal 5, the entrees all start around the same price, so it’s more of an airport issue than a vendor issue. Would I seek this out in Chicago? Maybe not. But if I wanted a burger in ORD, I would definitely go back.

Cook was unbelievably rude. When I reached though the opening in the glass to get my drink that they forgot, she blew up on me for reaching over the glass... when I pointed out that I wasn't doing that, she lost her mind and told me I should cancel my order and get my money back. So I did. But she wouldn't stop talking trash to me, even when her manager came to refund my money. She started seriously power-tripping, saying that she was gonna cancel my flight, which she clearly can't do. Observing their continued service while I ate elsewhere made it perfectly clear that they don't like white people there.

At any airport you expect high prices and questionable quality for any eatery - particularly airside after security where they have trapped audience - so its a lovely surprise and a real joy when you find somewhere that provides good food at only marginally inflated prices. This wasn't one of those nice surprises as it failed to reach even the very lowest of expectations. Disorganised, slow, expensive and rubbish. One star is one too many.

Ben is a great, alert, aware and attentive. I ordered a fries and he had the warewithal to mention that their fries are fried in the same oil as the chicken and there may be cross contamination. Great info to know and share with customers! I really appreciated it! Thank you Ben

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever tried! The staff were impolite and rude in taking my order and when I asked about my food. The food took like half an hour, and I managed to get cold fries. The chicken strips were very tiny and not good ( I couldn’t finish them). Also I ordered the buffalo strips but they gave me regular ones. The crispy chicken burger was small and also not good. The fries were acceptable. Also the tables were very dirty so we had to clean those. Overall this restaurant is a disappointment and I will never come again!

Absolutely horrible. Employees were extremely rude with attitudes to all the other customers too. They’re just lazy so it’s extremely slow and almost made me miss my flight, took an hour to make a burger fries and chicken tenders 😂. Oh, and the chicken “basket” came with 3 bite sized pieces of chicken. Didn’t even bother complaining to them since they clearly can’t comprehend anything and just charged it back on my credit card.

Had a burger and fries here yesterday. Burger was awful - extra well done and not seasoned at all. No condiments were included on the burger for some reason. Fries were ok. One worker was running the whole place while the other workers struggled to put one foot in front of the other. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have demanded my money back.

The bacon cheeseburger was actually very tasty. It needed a little seasoning. The fries were just ok. I didn't have a problem with rude employees, but everyone working there seemed not to want to be there including the one cook. The wait was unacceptable...25 minutes! When I placed my order the young lady did advise me of a 15 minute wait. I said fair enough as ALL the patties (about 12-15) on the grill were just put on and still frozen!! So one might think they would all be ready to go at the same time. The cook was putting patties onto the prepared buns so slowly. Like 3-4 patties every 3 mins. Too slow! Then if of you order a soda, you're given your drink at beginning. I don't think they will give you a refill even though you're waiting so long for food. Abd, at ine point they stopped taking orders saying they needed to catch up. Do you think others chipped in to get them back on track? Everyone literally seemed to have a spot to stand and one function. 1 cashier, 1 burger preparer, 1 fry cook, 1 burger grill cook. Finally once burger was put together, my fries, and the fries others got, were just thrown into the bag. The restaurant has to provide better attitudes and a sense of urgency in order to survive. You might do better going to the Burger King around the corner.

If I could give no stars, I would. The wait was long, the food cost what it does at an airport (a lot) but the real kicker was the food was absolutely awful. I got a bacon cheese burger - both the bacon & burger were still pink / raw. I got two orders of cheese fries for my family & both people took a few bites then threw them out because it was not good at all.

Asked for a bacon cheeseburger ( that is on menu) told they don’t have bacon… so while waiting for our food someone else after us asked for same and guess what… they have bacon. Workers were too busy laughing and playing food took forever to get

No vegetarian options available. Different menu than online. Other restaurants at terminal 5 also do not offer vegetarian options, do not even dream on vegan ones. How am I supposed to live 10 hoursin layover with only fries 😡

Ordered online so I could get a much needed anything in my stomach before my flight - got told the online orders aren’t working, so they didn’t make my order, but still charged me for it. Trash people and trash systems, probably trash food but I wouldn’t know cause I didn’t get the food i I paid for.

Pleasantly surprised by the fast service and yummy dog here. It's nothing out of the ordinary but the bread and hot dog is decent n not the cheapest n yucky kind. The pickles n relishes are fresh d tasty, combining for a flavorful dog very bite! It comes with fries for $7.95. 9ne of the cheapest eat in the international departure terminal. Cheap but delish! Awesome way to stay the journey East!

It’s 11:15 am. As far as I know they are to open at 11. The employees are still filling product (paper products) the line is a mile long. Crazy

Sign says open 11am to 7pm daily. It was 11:45am and the workers said it would still be another 20 minutes before they would be ready. And no one was even trying to hustle to get things open quickly.

0 stars is more appropriate. Slow, errors in order and didn't seem to care at all about quality. I will never eat here again. Hoped the bad reviews were wrong, but they were spot on.

  • 1/5 Andreas S. 1 year ago on Google
Horrible. They had only burgers without telling folks who waited in line for a long time to get hot dogs or sandwiches. Took me about 45 minutes from lining up till I got my burger. No apology whatsoever. Staff members look at each other without helping each other.

Tried this place at O’Hare before I took a long flight back home. There was a fairly large queue but assumed it would go quick……35 mins later……..the lady on the till was good. I’ve got a strong accent which gave her a bit of trouble but I can understand that. The rest of the staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other or generally staring into the wild. Didn’t think I’d have long to wait for my food……….20 mins later………while thinking it would be quicker to go buy a cow, slaughter it and cook it myself, finally had my cheeseburger which was almost thrown to me. Just a plain (no pun intended) bun with meat and cheese. Nothing else. Meat tasted slightly underdone. Wasn’t gonna risk another bite so it went in the bin and decided to forget the whole thing. The food on the British Airways flight was way better! Thought I had just caught them on a bad day, until I decided to leave a review and saw the others. Oh dear! Not good at all, but at least I didn’t have the same issues others have had here.

I ordered through ORDer Grab. I showed up at the time it said my order would be ready. Waiting patiently for 30 minutes as the staffed worked to get the in-person orders ready. Finally, when I knew I needed to leave to make my flight, I asked the staff about my order. They shrugged and said they didn’t have it and it was probably cancelled (I never received a cancellation email). They were unwilling to help me and I ended up leaving without food so I could make my flight. I wish I could give 0 stars.
