👍👍 Basically, a bunch of projectors to create this on-the-wall movie. With bass-boosted sound. From Jun. 8th - Sept. 13th, they'll play something 9pm - 10pm. And it's free to the public. Right after our boat tour, we rushed to see what it was all about. Pretty cool. I literally came here for 5 minutes,...

Must visit of the Chi city. Do night riverwalk tour starting from this specific spot for both visual and auditory art. It happens everyday. Check the time from their instagram (20:30 or 21:00) account/website. Even locals might not aware of this underrated (and free) activity.

An amazing visual experience every time I'm in Chicago. Always something knew to see, and hosted in a public, low key, and accessible outdoor venue on Riverwalk. Definitely check it out!

Really cool light display. There were two displays. I wasn't a huge fan of the second but I can appreciate the work and the geometric light show.

It’s nice but not that impressive. The one I saw was just displaying big numbers counting from 1, 2,3,4,5,6 and then it turned 0 and then the random colorful graphic (as in video) which is probably the best at that point but that’s it , then it looped back to 1. And I don’t know if there was supposed to have music all along with this or not ? But unfortunately, I couldn’t hear music, due to the loud noise of the traffic around.

If you happen to be in Chicago, Illinois during the Summer months, I strongly recommend that you give “Art on the MART“ a try. Moving images set to music, this free extravaganza begins promptly at 9:00 p.m. each evening (with an encore at 9:30). The crisp images are thanks to no less than 34 digital projectors on the Southside of the Chicago River (sorry, Cubs fans!) that are trained upon the Northside of the Chicago River (sorry, White Sox fans!) of the massive facade of the Merchandise Mart. This is such a great addition to your Date Night plans and excellent views are achievable from both the riverside and street level between North Orleans Street and North Wells Street on the Southside of the Chicago River (sorry, Cubs fans!). And that’s…Henry’s Take. #chicagoartonthemart #chicagodatenight

Really cool, but it ran for like 15 minutes the night I went to see it. The hours on the website also don't seem accurate. Does the site need to be updated?

I finally got to check it out and it was totally worth it! Lots of love and easy going vibes going on at the Riverwalk at this time. This photo didn't do it justice. Video is much better, but in-person is best.
