πŸ‘πŸ‘ I saw a great rhythm & blues band play here a few years ago. The show started a tad bit late. But the 3 orange whips I bought that night made up for it. I hope they fixed the window in the ladies restroom? People often mention show, band, blues, great,

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best show ever! Two of the singers crashed in through the restroom window before the show and then ran out before going onstage! The band was all dressed in white and had a major wardrobe change like magic in the beginning. The music was great and there was only a $2 cover charge. The orange whips were amazing. After the show they had the cops do a bumper car and light show outside! I did hear gun shots and heard the singers got arrested sometime after. I'll definitely be coming back!

The Orange Whip was sugary and overpriced, even by 1980 standards, and there wasn't a server to be found anywhere! A ridiculous amount of law enforcement though, for better or worse, including a funny guy that looked just like John Candy, I swear. Great music for just $2 and free parking, but I almost thought that I heard gunfire during the show, but the music and clapping was so loud, who knows! Decent acoustics too, but I don't think that the band will be back-- a couple of the guys even bailed in the middle of their set-- and I don't think I will either! Best show ever though.

Back in 1980 a blues band played here. After a couple of songs the lead singers disappeared. According to news reports they were fugitives from the law and lead police on a 106 mile high speed pursuit into downtown Chicago. The pursuit terminated at the Honorable Richard J. Daly Center (where the have the Picasso) with the two fugitives abandoning their car which witnesses claimed "literally fell to pieces". They were apprehended after a short foot chase at the Office of the Assessor of Cook County by Illinois State Police, Army Reserves, S.W.A.T., Chicago Police with assistance from the local Fire Department.

I heard about a show here via an announcement coming from a massive loudspeaker strapped atop a former police car (looked like the ones Mount Prospect had back in the day). Anyway it's quite a trip up route 16 to Lake Wazzapani, but the shows are an excellent deal at only $2. The crowd can really sing too, and often becomes part of the show. Maybe I was on something at the time, but sure seemed like the band and the stage were dressed in all white one minute, and in dark street clothes and normal stage setup the next. Hmm...

Some dudes in a men in black costume and their band performed here several years ago, the show was fantastic however the main singers only performed one and a half songs, enough entertainment for two (2) dollars

I Wish I was there when a blues band took a concert. Cheap price, good music, a lot of people. Even police went to see them. Strange. I was told one of the singer, had to leave the concert because his girlfriend was loooking for him. She was furious because he left her on their marriage day. Strange and funny story. Someone should play a movie on that.

Great place. Princess Leia handles the front desk and security. Very popular with local law enforcement. Stayed there after a three-year tour of Europe, Scandinavia, and the subcontinent. A very short 106 miles from Chicago, but it feels a lot closer. Nothing like it.

Great acoustics and they bring in some great rhythm & blues acts. They seem to back the blue, too. Lots of cops when I was there. Don't forget to try their Orange Whip!

Only 2 dollars! Many activities...great music, felt safe with the law enforcement around. The atmosphere was so calm the police felt no need to even be there anymore and played a short game of bumper cars before leaving! Highly recommend.

Years ago I helped a couple of guys get to their car,no idea why all the law enforcement was blocking the way. Jake and his brother Elwood had to get to Chicago and couldn't wait around.

Great blues show many years ago. Big Winnebago (and lots of police cars?) parked out front clogged traffic a bit on the way in.

There were a few negatives, broken window in the ladies powder room and gunfire during the performance. Some complaints here that the band left early but it wasn’t their fault. They ran out of gas, had a flat tire, didn't have enough money for cab fare. The tuxes didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole their car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. It wasn't their fault. Orange whips were nice, three stars.
