If I could give 0 stars I would. There are no free weights to be found in this gym. No AC and it’s almost 100 degrees out. Free weights (or any weights) are never re-racked. 5-10 plates are no where to be found so forget about progressive overloading… feels like a sauna in this whole gym. Bathrooms are a mess and there’s NEVER any paper towels to dry your hands, and for some reason the sink smells like sulfur when turned on. This whole gym is disgusting, and needs to be remodeled and have rules in place to be followed. Where is my monthly payments going? Why despite all the negative reviews there’s no change? Speaks volumes about Xsport. Sad.

1. This location is 24/7. 2. Almost ALL of the smaller weights are gone. No 2.5's, 5's or 10lb plates. It seems the dumbbells have been replaced and now have security tags. There are no kettlebells. But, there is brand new cardio equipment. 3. Cleanliness is terrible. Guests do not re-rack their weights or clean machines after use. Locker room garbage cans are overflowing. Locker room cleanliness is not maintained or sanitized. 4. The $9.95 a month membership is riddled with hidden fees. I ended up paying $87 to join plus an additional $50 on my second month. I've been a member of Xsport for a few years, I cancelled my membership during the pandemic to join a smaller crossfit gym that took safety precautions more seriously. I re-joined this location a few months ago and realized that throughout the pandemic, members were stealing dumbbells and small weights. There are almost no 2.5's, 5's or 10lb plates. I dont know whats going on with this location because, other Xsport locations are much cleaner and well maintained. I emailed management about all the missing weights about a month ago. If I want to go up in weight on a lift I need to jump 10-25lbs.I don't want to cancel my membership here but, at this point it doesn't fit my needs. It's been a big waste of money so, I just wanted to warn other people who are interested in joining. There are many other options for gyms popping up in this area all for similar costs of $30-$50 a month without any hidden fees.

Free weights (dumbbells and plates) are scarce. I am having a hard time looking for weights ranging from 5lbs. to 70lbs. I feel very limited to the use of free weights. The rack is always empty. 80 to 150 lbs are always available which are seldomly used. Shower areas are dirt and need cleaning. Staff need to announce the proper way to wear masks and social distancing. Other than that everything is fine.

They only turn the air on when they feel like it and last summer it was broken completely. They have all the weights upstairs, and introductory science classes taught us that heat rises. They won’t be satisfied until someone passes out from heat stroke. Also…… the bathroom stalls are disgusting. Please remind me what I am paying for if a girl can’t even get toilet tissue, a bathroom stall door that actually locks, and air conditioning????

New equipment this week!!!!! Yes! I was looking for the machines that I usually use. I haven't been able to go to the gym in a week and a half due to EYE surgery that I had to have. I realized that half the gym had all new equipment.... Funny enough THAT I WAS ABLE TO SEE THAT. GRATEFUL

The only thing I have to say about this place is the equipment is in decent condition. But that the only good point. . The locker room is dirty as hell with tissue all over the place. garbage overflowing . The treadmills and equipment don’t look like they been wiped down or cleaned . Most of the people in the building don’t have a mask on, you’ll think the pandemic was over with. What’s the purpose of having a sign that say mask are required if no one is wearing them. Might as well just take the signs down.

At the time of this review, no one should have to wait 20 minutes for a representative to answer the phone!!!!

Brought my friend as a guest which I always do and I’ve never had a problem before. Tonight I went in and the guy up front asked my friend to scan and I told him she’s my guest and he told me no guest after 9pm which is fine but I told him I never had a problem before( I didn’t know this was policy & this is the first time someone ever says something about it ) and he wants to say “ well you’ve never came when I’m working “ is that how this gym is ran? So rude !! Seriously thinking of canceling my membership because his comment was so unnecessary. He could’ve easily said sorry that’s just how it is on and moved on.

Tanning beds have been neglected so badly. There are bulbs out in every single bed including the stand up. They aren't even getting hot anymore. You can physically see how old the bulbs are and this is just ridiculous. The only thing xsport has on other gyms now is 24 hours. At least other gyms take care of their tanning equipment. CHANGE YOUR BULBS! New complaint! WHY IS THERE STILL NO AC!? I watched an elderly member almost passout today from the heat inside this.gym Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. And this is the second year in a row! What the heck are we paying for!?

The steam room smells moldy. Needs to be revamped! Asap! Machines break too often, needs new machines. Swimming pool looks dirty, water looks dirty. THE WHOLE GYM NEEDS AN UPGRADE. Thanks.

This brickyard location is terrible very unprofessional. Do not follow the rules I know they are based on chicago but every club should follow the same rules. I am a member that visits random locations did not appreciate being approach for not wearing a mask while working out alone. When the email I received states only when not working out, to wear a mask. The employee stayed that is because your in Norridge they have different rules. This should not matter where my main gym is . You are a business that are global you should follow everything the same. If you planning to visit this gym be warned they are not nice . Considering moving my two memberships elsewhere. Get it together ..

I like the gym but it does need to enforce the mask policy maybe 2 warning and remove them from or suspend them from coming into the gym. Looking at two people 15 min now working out with out the mask

Management here is piss poor. Front desk is phenomenal. Jose... He couldn’t even conflict resolution with and long term member. The simple things matter and Jose couldn’t do it. Had it not been for the Xsport location in Matteson (Tay) and in Melrose park location (Dane) we would’ve left and gone to planet fitness. Moral of the story don’t deal with this location. Management told us all we needed to know about this gym and it’s practices.

First time back after months and my lock was cut off along with other multiple ones. They took my rent money, shades, watch and wireless headphones. I heard its been happening constantly and apparently nothing is being done to prevent it.

Please make sure all gym goers are wearing their masks properly and not wearing it under their noses or under their chins not covering their mouths or nose. It defeats the purpose of wearing a mask. Also I have seen many people not wiping down equipment at all after they use it. Please fix this.

Staff is nice and helpful. But the bench issues by the free weights is just unacceptable. Only 2 of them are even functional and not even fully. The benches have been broken for over 2 months now. This is the third time I've tried to talk to management about the company doing something about this and I know it is out of their hands. Corporate needs to start paying attention to these reviews and do something about this equipment asap!

This is the first gym I ever went to and I wanted say that X Sport gyms feel way too intimidating. I don’t feel welcomed at all particularly at this gym. The employees behind the desk don’t greet you half of the time and they have some sort of attitude when you speak to them. So I switched to Planet Fitness and it’s way better. Sure it might not be the best gym, but I felt welcomed and the whole vibe was so much more friendly to newcomers.

Pretty bad condition and dirty. Need an update really bad. The machines are too close to eachother, the steamroom looks like has mold around the broken light that are on the ceiling. Very unhealthy.

Horribly managed. Missing dumbbells, patrons lack gym etiquette. Child’s play room is better kept than the gym itself. Two star, because staff is nice.

I am new to this gym since may. The morning crowd is pretty good mask on and kick workouts. After and night are horrible people are with mask off and supervision is horrible even with staff only staying at the front desk. People on the phones a lot so its hard to get a good workout. Recommend going in the morning.

This is the closest xsport to my home and I’ll drive an extra 2-3 miles to avoid it.. Went back after a year expecting some changes, but to my surprise there is no a/c and they try to compensate with 3-4 portable units that are way to small for this place. It’s hard to find smaller 5/10lbs weights so imagine benching and having to increase weight by 25lbs at a time. Please do something if you care about your brand!

Dumbbells are always scattered everywhere and in random spots. I always see staff just sitting in the main desk or in the computers when they could be cleaning up the weight area. Gym is always full and you will have to wait to use any machine or weight.

I have been coming to this gym for over 2 years. I’m general I like the atmosphere, the one that I don’t like is that the dumbbells are always scattered everywhere.

I have been a loyal xsport member for years now. However due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my membership as this location was no longer convenient for me. I went in the morning to speak with a manager about cancelling my membership and everything seemed to be going well. I asked the manager if additional charges would be made to my account and he assured me that there would not be. About an hour later I receive a confirmation email stating my membership has been cancelled and attached to it is a cancellation request. The cancellation request states that I am aware that a $10 cancellation fee will be charged to my account and that I agree to them charging my account this cancellation fee. The manager forged my signature to make it seem like I had authorized this when I was NEVER once made aware of this fee. And in fact I was told the complete opposite! I was told that no additional charges would be made to my account. It’s not even the $10 that’s upsetting it’s the dishonesty and lack of care.

This gym is absolutely one of my favorite places in the whole world. The equipment is slowly but surely getting replaced/fixed. The walls have just been painted, and the ac problems have been addressed The front staff and sense of community at brickyard are unmatched! They know their regular customers by name and often stop to have personalized conversations with people. My trainer is extremely personable, helpful, and extremely kind. I wouldn’t ever let anyone else train me.

Each year this location gets worse and worse. Free weights are no where near to be found even on less traffic periods of the day ( I honestly think they get stolen bc you can’t find the lower weighted ones around). Some machines are not in working condition. Service is actually good ( the one positive characteristic of this location) but the availability of the weights is so frustrating for someone whose trying to squeeze a workout in. The basketball court hard wood has so many flat areas… definitely needs addressing.

Two of the reasons I like to to come here . I have to say, since the gym reopened I couldn’t help but notice how often I saw these two women constantly making sure they they keep a clean and sanitized environment for us. ❤️🙏🏽 Thank you !!

Its sad to read the the reviews and relate so much to it, one the main points pointed out by other members its the breaking of lockers. There are no outside people coming in, its all members, ones it’s reported to management the answer you get it happens all the time. Really??? Like thats what you really want to tell your members? After the fortune you pay in membership fees and maintenance fees every year? You have personal trainers just seating down playing on their phones maybe they should be doing some walking around the gym and picking stuff and maybe a little productive but then followers follow the leadership at this location, to who concerns cant be brought up to, because he has a very clear way of letting you know he does not CARE one BIT!!! Maybe if corporate will give some attention to the location and make some house cleaning things would maybe change but at the same time corporate customer services has the same poor customer services skills as those at gym, pretty faces are nice but it takes a little more than that to run a show. One bad experience makes it worth enough to not return to Xsport!

You can definitely tell that XSport does not care about certain locations. They put more care and make sure it’s neat in locations closer to downtown. This location has messed up machines and the weights are literally all over the floor. Not safe and very frustrating trying to use the dumbbells because they are never in the rack.

Bathrooms need to be cleaned more often. Garbages are overflowing and floor needs to be mopped.

Let's just say the gym is "getting darker".

They need to be more clean specially on the bathrooms they smell horrible and the swim pool also dirty, smells terrible. Two little simple details but, very very important.

They will STEAL YOUR MONEY. I paid for PERSONAL SESSIONS. And they do not want to provide the GOOD SERVICE OR GIVE YOU BACK YOUR MONEY. Worst place ever. Worse workers ever. I’ve never been so un satisfied with a business like this. Please don’t go here unless you have money to throw away 😊

I have tried to cancel my membership 4 times and they just hit my account for $80. They will not just cancel it, they are trying to make you keep a membership for a gym that half of things do not work or work properly. I do not want this membership to this gym. the bathrooms are a mess there is never paper the sanitizer dispenser never works...! and when you tell the workers that there are no towels they ignore you ..! I think we pay a lot for the service they give..!

This place need a total renovation and upgraded new equipment and treadmills. Most of the equipment is broken, worn out, and can't be used at all. Hardly any free weights and or plates to use. The workers are terrible and not helpful but on their phones. Plenty of sketchy women looking for men. I'd avoid this place if I were you.

I'm having a hard time finding plates 10lbs - 5lbs. I didn't have this problem at The Logan Square location must be the Management.

I came in today with hopes of starting a new gym routine. Instead I canceled my membership. After finally deciding to go back to the gym. I was sure disappointed. 4/5 hand sanitizers that I tried were empty. Hand towel dispensers empty. The “disinfectant” chemical they are using has a 10 minute kill time which means that you will have to wait 10 minutes after spraying in order to have your equipment disinfected. Even with a low capacity of members. You still can’t find available dumbbells. This gym is still terrible at maintaining a clean and safe environment.

No COVID-19 safety. This gym has adequate equipment though a lot of it looks worn down. The low rating is for Covid-19 safety. I tried three hand sanitizer stations in one workout area and all of them were NOT working. The spray bottles are filled with a cleaning liquid that looks like water when you use it to wipe down machines. I'm from the NYC and was using this gym during a brief visit. I am grateful for my NYC gyms because they do a great job of providing hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE and cleaning wipes (not just bottles and paper towels) that don't look like water. They even mark out areas to work out so there isn't over crowding. I'm glad I got my workout in at this gym but if you visit come prepared with your own wipes, hand sanitizers and gloves!!

This gym used to have all the best equipment only to get rid of it all for newer flashier equipment. I was really disappointed. Well, that’s commercial gyms for you. It’s ok at best.

The studio is very small for the amount of people attending the class. The studio doesnt have AC. The bathrooms are dirty most of the time the doors of the bathroom stalls dont work and one of the stall wall is broken and falling apart

I cancelled my membership after I expressed due to COVID I am unable to workout and wear a face mask during my time at the gym. They offered a 2 month freeze on my acct but then after the 2 months I would either have to cancel or continue paying and can't workout out until the face mask has been lifted at the gym. They told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee even though we are dealing with COVID.

Didn’t have an ID from Illinois so they denied me access with my guess pass. Tried to tell me $20 for the day and the membership is $20 a month with no down payment….

I recently reached my fitness goals with the help of Bryant ( consultation) and Romero (personal training). Based on my experience I’d recommend Xsport Fitness at Bricktown to anyone! Great professionals there. Bryant came up with a plan that addressed all my objectives after first carefully listening and asking relevant questions. Aside of any plan details, he also presented me with strong general guidelines easy to follow and remember. Training sessions with Romero were a living proof that an effective workout DOES NOT have to be a torture, quite contrary. I achieved all my goals just as planned, within the time projected. I lost weight and I gained muscle mass/tone just as aimed for and expected. For the length of the program I also enlisted group fitness classes which Xsport Fitness offers in a great variety. Group fitness instructors there are also very encouraging, welcoming and friendly.

I love xsport especially this location my only issue is lack of weights. I can never find 2.5 lbs plates anywhere in this gym and the lack of 10 lb plates is also absurd. This location also lacks low weight dumbbells , I have been training at xsport gyms for almost 10 years now and almost every location outside of the ones downtown or near Logan Square seems to be lacking weights. This never happened in the past.

Great machine go earlier Monday through Wednesday it gets packed after 1 pm and all the dumbbells get scattered everywhere,pool available ,and steam room

Great atmosphere. Plenty of emmeneties. Friendly staff. Best time to go is early morning or early afternoon. After 5pm a lot of members attend but there is plenty of equipment so everyone can get a good workout in. Plenty of parking. Erea feels safe.

One of the front clerks mentioned that a personal trainer was not available at that time but my cousin and I said no problem he was going to do weights/ core bits and i was going to mind my business on the bikes. And they let us be. Appreciate them.

This location is very unprofessional, a gym trainers job is to help a client achieve, instead they rather not be the trainer just to be able to ask the girl out on a date? This is a job for you TRAINERS not a tinder site. XSport should really try and get rid of creeps like this, and if not then I’ll go to corporate and drop names of currently employed employees at this location

Huge gym. The place would be perfect if they updated some of the equipment and had towels. The staff is really nice and they helpful with supplements, and friendly. Get towels it would be great.

Cool gym! I been going here for about a week and kinda got the hang of things. It’s a big enough gym to get yourself to work out pretty well.

Needs an update! Please invest in new equipment. But decent gym, I like how big it is compared to some of the other locations

Pretty good gym. I've been coming for the past 5 years or so. Good and bad staff have come and gone, fairly clean place. Sometimes people will litter or leave their weights out of place and of course it's the staff's job to clean up but most of them do the best they can. I can't can't blame them for not being able to keep up during rush hour, plus they can't control the the type of person that comes in to that extent. Most staff is very nice. Most other people are too from the interactions I've had. I'll definitely keep coming back. Most of the bad staff has gone. You will never get rid of the older insecure men trying to start problems with you at any gym though. Again, not the locations fault. It's an issue with most commercial gyms

The employees do not try to help when someone has their account frozen. I tried to extend my freeze and the male employee stated to me non verbatim that “I don’t have to worry about calling again. You will get charged when you scan in the gym.” Definitely not the case because I was very much charged 40 bucks.

Never had an issue here. Zumba with Jessie is the reason I go here. Always an energy filled zumba environment.

I'm in here err morning it's a good gym real supportive staff as well as people if u nervous about how to start.... Just come I'm sure someone in here will help you find your way .....if I'm there I'll spot you 💪🏾💯
