This hospital somehow it only shows the good reviews and hides the bad reviews. There is no way they have 4.5 stars.they should have negative stars. This Hospital is really bad, they are careless, mean, there is no communication between the employees, if you ask a question No one has an answer for you. Patients come here sick and get sicker, it kind of feels like there is no one working here. When my mom arrive at this facility they forgot to give her dinner, the next day they forgot to give her breakfast, they were only giving her the medication WITHOUT WATER, just because my mom called me and told me she was feeling hungry I called them and ask them to feed my mom. The nurses would hide the button for my mom (and other patients too)not to call them. Somehow my mom started loosing her voice, and no one knew why, until we had to call CEO my mom started regaining her voice again!!!! How!?!? Only they know what they were doing to my mom. On her last day at this facility someone turned of her oxygen and my mom would ask for help, the nurse would just leave and turn off the lights on her and walk away, I called to find out what happened and still no one has an answer for me. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A LOVE ONE HERE TAKE CARE OF THEM, if you have someone coming here please DONT look for a different place, take those extra minutes to find a different place, your putting them here to slowly die. Luckily my mom survived,because we called CEO, and even like that she was not being taking good care. People are mean here no one ever answers the phones and when they do, they scream at you and get mad at you for asking, 02/24/2022

I'm so grateful for this facility. They take amazing care of my Dad. He had 2 strokes and a heart attack before coming here. The staff have been communicative, caring and very supportive. I wouldn't put my loved one anywhere else. Amazing staff that has a heart for the people they serve. They give honest and direct assessments and help you understand your options. My picky brother was a patient at Kindred. I was pleasantly surprised with the exceptional care he received at Kindred. The nursing staff is top quality and the support staff responded to all of our needs. OT and PT are great.

Hello world. It takes a special kind of person to help people. I would like to share my mother experiences with being at kindred hospital. She was very ill but pulled through with the help of many caring nurses. My mom did the foot work but oh man the staff was big motivators. Jomar, Farida, Pinky, and many others all played a part in her healing. Thanks to all that helped. My mom will be home soon. She made the patient success story of the month their. It also take showing up for ur family. It takes time to make sure they know people from home will be there

This place is unbelievable… My sister was transferred here to get better after her vitals and everything was fine. She was on a ventilator and all they had to do was slowly wean her off it, my sister was able to mouth words, and was slowly gaining strength to her fingers, still unable to move her arms. She was perfectly fine and showing so many signs of progression, she only spent 4 days here before they sent her to the worse emergency room, unresponsive and mostly brain dead. Somehow she “pulled” the vent off herself and somehow they didn’t hear her oxygen levels drop while the Machine was ringing! She was without oxygen for 20 minutes and went I to cardiac arrest… they revived her and left her there alone, they didn’t follow any PROTOCOL!!! After about 10 hours they told my other sister that she was being transferred to get dialysis???? She had gotten dialysis there before!! Our sister would’ve been celebrating her birthday 34th birthday next month but instead we will be planning her funeral..DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, THEY WILL KILL THEM!

Horrible Horrible Place ! My Grandmother Was Staying Here For Her Revelation & Was Mistreated By 2 Nurses Knowing She Was Just Recovering From Covid -19 & Pneumonia They Were Cold Hearted & Washed Her Down With Mouth Was & To Top It Off They Blew Cold Air On Her Back ! During Her Whole Stay There She Experience Nothing But Mis Treatmens People Like Them Should Not Be In The Medical Field Or Anything That Has To Do With People.. Please Do Not Go To This Place Or Think About Sending A Love One Here !

The facility exceeded our expectations. The care from the janitorial staff to the nursing and medical staff was great. They took good care of our father and was thorough in addressing any concerns we may have had. Rehab and wound care was very therapeutic and assisted in healing for my dad after having surgical complications. Patient relations, social work, and security was also very helpful and approachable. Usually LTACHs don’t have the greatest reputation, however, this particular one I will definitely recommend. Thanks again to all the staff, we appreciate you.

Staff was wonderful and kept me updated constantly. However they didn't update me to a critical condition. While there he got MRSA. Unsanitary conditions. They didn't inform him or me of this. So I may have it now. Getting it checked out. Can we say lawsuit!!!!!

My brother Curtis Edwards has been here for about 3 weeks. He has been great improvement. They have already got him. Learning Hes writing everything he wants, hes also going to physical therapy. My name is Sharon Carney I come here every day. Snow, rain, sleeping hell, nothing will stop me from coming here. The staff is amazing, they always welcome me. With a friendly smile, hes always clean, nice, fresh. And if I have any questions they answer right away. I would recommend this place. Kindred Chicago Lakeshore

I was concerned at first because I couldn't visit (pandemic restrictions) and he was/is very vulnerable. However now that I can see him and how well they treat him, I am very impressed. Big shout out to Damone, his nurse. Also his PT/OT/ST caregivers! He is doing great because of this care (and his will to get better). Oh, and Dr. Al! Great doctor who explains clearly.

My father has been in their care for the past few months and they've done an outstanding job!

This is the worst hospital ever, they mistreat patients, they hide the call button, so they don't get bothered, they don't pay attention to patients or their families. They don’t answer the, phone the nurses get upset if you call for updates on your loved ones... I do not recomend this place to nobody, do your research before you come here or bringing a love one and don't believe the good reviews they have, I don’t believe those 5 star reviews are legit.

My experience has been alright. Needs improvement on the night shift. I never want the 2 I had this morning. I again could not reach my call light. I called for help for at least 25 minutes. Finally a lady from respitory could get me my call light. Then my CNA shows up. Kocky attitude. I. No longer want this staff in my room. This is 11pm to 7 am staff. I no longer trust this facility.

My very good friend has spent several weeks there and I do like the private rooms. I was in her room for lunch and it looked good. She has a wound but it looks like it may be getting smaller .

If I could give Kindred Lakeshore 0 stars I would! My Brother was here for therapy and he only got worse! It seems they are just milking the insurance companies at the expense of people lives. It is so sad! My Brother was rushed to Weiss Memorial hospital from Kindred On more than one occasion due to bleeding from his throat. Well, when my Brother was admitted into Rush hospital it was discovered that Kindred did the tracheotomy incorrectly. Also Rush said he did not even need the trach collar. Nuts!! Please Go to another place for therapy, if you love your relatives.

Terrible service, my uncle was transferred here from U of C and they treated him terrible. It’s a shame how being apart of the medical industry your family has to deal with people who don’t care about you and your well being. I wish I had the opportunity to change this….

The nurses and care at Kindred Lakeshore is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. They not only aided in my healing process, they also helped me feel at home.

The Staff, nurses, specialists & facilities are great! The physicians are very consistent with keeping up with your treatment(s) & recovery. Fantastic overall.

I've spent 3 weeks at Kindred Chicago Lake shore and will be here 2 more weeks. The staff is professional and very attentive. And the food -- no kidding-- is really good. Rehab staff are really good at personalized training an coaching.

My awesome companion has gone through a little while there and I do like the private rooms. I was in her space for lunch and it looked great. She has an injury however it seems as though it could be getting more modest .

Thanks for helping our family through difficult times. Not all places allow visiting your does, and the rooms were large a private. The care was good and we enjoyed the entire team. We enjoyed some more than other overall it a good place.

Day shift staff is very attentive but night ….. . Nurses Maria, Jackie, Polo, and Candy are wonderful! This is a good place for healing.

Kendrick Chicago Lakeshore is very nice the people here are nice and crying and be on time with the resident medicine the blood pressure that you can like family this is a good facility that I would recommend my mother feel very comfortable here

When I was informed I was coming here, I was nervous. I had never heard of Kindred. After I was admitted everyone was so attentive . I received the best anyone could imagine.

Care here has been good and the staff has been nothing but nice so I would recommend!

The care was good- some nurses were better than others but overall I found many of the staff to be kind and professional.

My husband was a patient at this hospital. We found the staff to be very informative when necessary, very kind and attentive. Physical therapy was very effective. Medical team is outstanding and respond quickly.

Worst experience ever and unfortunately my mother passed away. They don't answer the phones and when they do and you ask about your loved one, they respond in a manner that you are disturbing them. They lost or threw her personal property away when they rushed her to the hospital. They didn't notify that my mother had been transported to the hospital , the doctor at the hospital called and informed me of my mother's condition. I will say one or two people there were very helpful and informative but overall not a good facility.

The staff are amazing and truly caring. I've always said you can judge a facility by the happiness of their staff and I find this to be true to date. Come of the staff have been here 20+ years, everyone seems happy, there isn't the bureaucracy of the large institution bogging everything down, they are close to each other, like family. I've been in many facilities and this is what struck me right away about this place. I've had an emergency situation here recently and the staff jumped into action, I was very impressed by how quickly they responded and the follow up with extensive testing to ensure the issue was fully resolved and wouldn't happen again. The food is great, almost like that of a restaurant. Only problem for me is it's too rich, too much butter, but that is a "ME" problem. Everything is well seasoned and delicious, in comparison to other facilities, they blow it away with quality ingredients and fresh fruit daily AND a dessert. I'm talking lemon bars, peach cobbler with ice cream, brownies, etc. WOW!

Me and my family visit meany facility. We were very impressed with our walk through at Kindred Chicago Lakeshore. Normally we never leave my Mother alone but spending time with Miss Bryant of the Patient Relations Representative and my mother team for Care made us fill like family. She received here medication on time she never has to wait if she calls for the nurse, her Doctor share all information

This place is literally does the bare minimum. If you love your family member u will need to spend 24hrs/ 7 days a week along side them because they for 1. don’t keep up with medical charts(the first night i was here they had no idea how to care for my loved one because they lost the charts so they were extremely too rough and also very combative when corrected about wrong doing. 2. Physicians are very rude and Ghetto. (Ask inappropriate questions about patients situation, all nurses aren’t experienced( they will tell u they don’t know and they have to ask someone else why they are doing such activities with patients) !almost left patient with no air because they don’t understand how ventilators work ! 3. Speaks rudely and ignored sick patients my 2nd day i heard a man yelling for help the nurse proceeded to say “ Someone is in the room” NO ONE WAS N THE ROOM. 4. Not accessible to paralysis patients( no way for them to contact emergency help ) 5. UNDER STAFFED AND STAFF WITH INCOMPETENT STAFF 9/10 no one is at the nurses station. Nurses have about 5-6 patients at one time. 6. Night staff is very inexperienced ( i would never leave my loved one here overnight) 7. Security very rude they will try to kick you out before you have ensured your loved one will receive the proper night time service. Ghetto n general. 8. False advertises services, nurses competence, number of staff etc I would never want to stay here .

2/24 I have been receiving great care. Y'all help me get drug free thank God Lakeshore.
