We booked the last architectural river tour of the day for 7:30 because we wanted to catch the sunset and skyscrapers all lit up , it was for 75 minutes and about 45$ each , our guide , the Spanish girl , Ashley was very charming and knowledgeable, kept us entertained and educated ….. it’s a must tour for enjoying the jaw dropping Chicago skyscrapers…. Though , it was super windy and cold and they didn’t had any inside sitting option

We booked the fireworks architecture tour. This basically starts right after the sunset tour and ends with a city-side view of the fireworks from the water. This happens Wednesdays and Saturdays from memorial day to labor day. Lane was our guide and he was awesome! I'd recommend this to anyone local or visiting. Visitors schedule this as an early activity, as you'll see a lot of places on the tour that you may wish to explore! You get a really good look at the city and pick up quite a lot of history. I grew up here and still picked up lots of information that I didn't know. We got rained on while in line but as soon as we boarded ponchos went out. Hot drinks aren't terribly expensive (cider and hot chocolate were both hot and run about 3 bucks) The tickets cost me about as much as the dinner we ate beforehand. If I had to choose the nice dinner or the tour it would hands-down be the tour. I'll be doing this again, maybe the lakeside one. My 8 year old was entertained all the way up until we were about to stop for the fireworks.

It was really great experience of shoreline. The cruise includes guided tour of shoreline. Tickets cost 35$ . On board bar and restaurant is available .90 minutes of complete tour . They are very punctual. The tour is very comfortable and convenient. From May to September is the best time . During winters everything is frozen. Navy pier is a very good company for this tour. It’s quite windy . Chicago as such is famous as Windy City. Having a jacket and hat is a good idea.

Definitely recommend this tour if you are be out visiting Chicago. You will get a great education on the city and the various buildings on the riverfront. Go city passes are cheaper than buying directly

The lake cruise at night was an amazing experience. We booked the last cruise at 8 pm. Shoreline is one the first cruises that you see as you come to the Navy Pier. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a lot of useful information

Let me start off by saying I wish they stated which boats don’t have canopy’s! Now our “storyteller” was a recent graduate named Sam I believe. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept with the “dad” jokes and I kept me chuckling. The bar tender poured good mixed drinks from what I saw. Even better juice, since I can’t drink. The captain made the boat ride very smooth, had no complaints about the crew.

This Walter taxi is a convenient way to get back to the Magnificent Mile from the Navy Pier. It is also an easy, very affordable, and fun way to see the city from the river view as well. Of course if you can afford the river tour, it's probably better. But this is the next best thing.

Fantastic tour!! It starts with a breathtaking view of the city skyline and then takes you through the heart of the city. Lots of seats on board, amenities and bar, and the tour guide was very entertaining. Definitely recommend!! (P. S. I don't remember the tour guide's name, but he is in my pictures - please give him my compliments - he was exceptional and gave us a very memorable experience on board!! 😃)

The views on the night cruises are very wonderful. You definitely have to do it at least once and if you live in Chicago it's a great place to bring family from out of town.

Had a really great time on this tour. You learn so much about the history and the city itself. The facts he tells you are really intressting and not just some random boring facts. Beside the massiv amount of intressting information you get, you also get amazing view of the city and there are plenty of spots to take great pictures.

A great wat to go to and from navy pier and shedd aquarium. 15 min travel time on lake Michigan overlooking Chicago skyline. For just $10

Staff is charming and funny, drinks are a little light, and I'd skip the picture they take at boarding unless you're keen on spending $30 for a printed picture of yourself. For the cost of admission, the picture should really be free or at least a reasonable price. They lose a star for that

Great architecture tour! We went at the end of the evening and it was great to see the buildings slowly light up. We heard a lot about the history of Chicago and the buildings. Highly recommend!

I have ridden with Shoreline several times on their water taxis, shoreline cruise, and now their city architecture cruise. Yesterday I took my daughter on the architecture cruise. While we didn’t get the name of the woman leading the cruise and giving out information, she was excellent at her job. For almost 75 minutes straight she gave us information on building after building that we passed. Her voice must get tired after these cruises! The whole crew was wonderful, the bar tender was great to talk to. I have never been disappointed cruising around with Shoreline and I’m sure I’ll be back in the future.

This is best experience I had in Chicago. The architecture tour was truly informative. Our guide Jake was knowledgeable and provided great history/information/stories about the buildings. This tour made me appreciate the beauty of the buildings.

Took the water taxi from Shedd Aquarium to Navy Pier. Was $10 per adult. Worth the rest from walking & you get some cool views of the skyline.

We were in town for a quick 2 day visit and booked this tour as seemed a "must do" for folks who appreciate the art and architecture of the city. Antonio was our guide and he was amazing! His knowledge of the history, architecture and engineering aspects of the city were so enlightening. From his bad cow jokes to food reviews it was total entertainment. The tour hits all 3 of the river arms and was just the perfect length (75 minutes) for the 100° day. Boat was comfortable and had clean bathrooms, full bar and snacks available. We consider ourselves lucky to have landed this tour

One of me most amazing tours I've ever had in my life, beautiful views, you can see the architecture of the amazing buildings, you must have lot of battery to take photos cause it's incredible, they sell alcohol and there is a man who's telling everybody about the city, i enjoyed a lot i swear, you will not be disappointed!

The sightseeing architecture tour of Shoreline was great and the tour guide had a lot of personality and knowledge to share! We really enjoyed it!

Loved the architectural tour. Micheal, our guide, was a trooper— funny and engaging even when his umbrella flipped inside out in the wind.

We did an Architecture tour which we throughly enjoyed. Erica was our tour guide and filled with knowledge (and puns!) of Chicago architecture and history. Definitely a lot of fun facts for a 75min tour! We did have some drizzle on the boat but most had rain jackets (and it didn’t stop Erica with telling us the fun facts!). Seats are the front of the boat, either side uou get great views

Loved all the tales and anecdotes of our hostess about the city and it's architecture. Would love to go again, perhaps later in the evening the next time.
