Went to the Chicago Theater yesterday for the Cirque Du Soleil show ‘“Twas the Night Before..” and had a fantastic time! The theater was soo beautiful and very classy inside. We had Box P seats 1-2 and had an amazing view! They offered some light snacks for purchase, but nothing too crazy, which was perfect IMO. The only downside about this entire theater was the bathrooms. I’m very short, 5’0, and the toilets were not made for adults at all lol I felt like they were made for very small children they were so incredibly low! Other than the bathrooms I absolutely loved the theater! I wasn’t a huge fan of the show itself but everything else was wonderful. Would def be going back!

This is by far one of the best concert venues I've experienced. With its smaller size, entry was a breeze, as well as the wait for concessions. The seating is oriented such that there's not a bad seat in the house. Everyone stayed seated instead of standing for three hours. It probably doesn't need to be said, but the architecture here is amazing, and is worth the cost of entry in itself. All staff was friendly and courteous, gladly showing us to our seats. Would definitely attend another performance at the Chicago Theatre.

The Chicago Theater was a great venue to see Smokey Robinson perform. Smokey was great and you would never believe he is 82. The theater is awesome, classic architecture and decorative work around the place is amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cool place to see a show. I recommend the box seats.

Excellent venue! I have seen several shows and the theater is so beautiful! My wife and I saw the Masked Singer Luce show!!! Thoroughly disappointed! Does not reflect the theater. Poor production. Not like the TV show at all. Ok for kids!!!

Absolutely beautiful and historic theater of Chicago. If you can't watch a show here, there is a tour that takes you to see all the places of this theater. I won't spoil the surprise here by telling you all the stories. But you should go and listen to the guide and find out for yourself.

What a beautiful venue. We completely enjoyed our comedy show. You need to see this place at least once! They do need more options at the snack bar. The drinks were decent.

Overall great experience and visit. Normally when we go we have to lock up our phones for the show. This one was great and got to get some photos. The staff is super friendly. The experience is always smooth. There are additional bars in the building so don't feel like you need to always jump in like at the first one you see.

Great theater! The line moved quickly the staff was helpful at the door and the Ushers were great! Jill Scott was magnificent! From her performance, videos, band, and Dancers she as worth every dollar spent! The D.J was trash, the comedian needs practice

I absolutely love this venue! Such a historic and architectural gem! I’ve seen tons of shows here over the year’s! Beautiful inside and out and small enough that entry and exit move well. I’ve sat in every section and there are no bad seats. Great acoustics as well.

I love the Chicago Theatre. We have been here for so much already and have another comedian to see in November. There is no bad seat in the place, everyone has been so kind. I just love the Chicago theatre 🤍

This is a beautiful venue that seems to be well preserved, and I absolutely loved the architectural designs that give such a warm and intimate feel inside. The lighting, acoustics and everything else were on point too. Jill Scott gave a show to remember! We had floor seats which were very comfy. The only downside is if someone sitting in front of you stands up then your view is blocked which kind of sucks but is to be expected for floor seats. The balcony seats seemed to have a really good view though. Plus the theatre location is perfect and easy to get to. So be prepared for a lot of foot traffic out front. Even with that though we got in and out very quickly. It was a great time!

Beautiful historic facility. Was very confused on the side entrance where there were two lines that went through metal detectors however the line closest to the wall did not go through a metal detector and only had to have a wand waved at them. Of course that third line that did not go through the metal detectors was extremely fast. The people working the security or metal detectors or whatever it's called, could have been a lot friendlier The women's restroom that had urinals was completely confusing and gross. It needs attention!

Such a beautiful theater. The architecture inside is gorgeously done and inside it just feel magical. No matter what type of show you are going for, it will be an amazing experience. Staff is very kind, friendly, super helpful with any questions. They have a coat check, restrooms were in the basement but very clean and huge. It was easy to navigate inside too and exiting did not take long at all even though the theater was sold out for the evening. Just beautiful place.

Stunning architecture, beautiful details and friendly staff. Visited the theatre for the first time few days back and it was a wonderful experience. Getting in was easy but getting out was really unorganized, I hope they will improve on this. You can purchase popcorn and alcohol. Restrooms are okay.

Amazing! A beautiful hall, where history, music, and theatre reverberate. Elegance and craft that is not seen these days; unique to a time long passed. Spacious, comfortable, pleasant to all the senses. Helpful staff that seem professional and well suited to the task. I look forward to returning to here for more adventures!

We went to the Chicago Theatre to see Nate Bargatze… the weekend after he hosted SNL. Getting in was a breeze. We waited no more than 5 minutes before the line started moving into the theatre. Of course they had metal detectors, but afterwards I felt safe. The ushers helped us to our seats. The view was unobstructed and perfect! We enjoyed the show, the architecture, and our seats! An incredible venue!!!

We saw a great show (Ray Lamontagne) last night. Parking was easy, the venue was excellent. Our seats were in the front of the balcony and we had a perfect view. I would estimate that it was about 2/3 full, the staff was helpful, bathrooms were easy to locate, and the sound was great. Really nice way to start of the summer 2022 concert season!

First time at this venue while in Chicago. Very clean, staff was super friendly and helpful and all I saw had smiles on their faces. Floor seating left nothing to be desired like other venues. Sound was perfect.

This theater is definitely a staple of the community/ history of Chicago for sure! In July 2017 I was able to see the late & great DMX 🕊 🙏🏽 here along with a lot of other old school artists. It was a great show , and his performance was out of this world as u can already imagine!

the Chicago Theater is a gorgeous venue. It is a great place to see a concert or other show. pretty much not a bad seat in the house. 1 star off for somewhat uncomfortable seating for tall people as the seats are likely from the 30s.

Despite the Coronavirus, we were able to see how incredible this theater is. we hope that soon we can return to appreciate how beautiful it must be inside and get to know it. however we were able to appreciate all its magnificent facade and take good photos without so many people walking outside.

We killed three birds with one stone that night - saw the Cirque Du Soleil performing the 'Twas the Night Before...' show at the famous Chicago Theater. Very special night. The show was amazing. Everyone in their lifetime should see the Cirque Du Soleil. Simply extraordinary. The Chicago Theater itself was an attraction by itself. Beautiful inside and its breathtaking main hall. One thing bothered me a lot was standing outside for a very long time trying to get through security checks. It definetely takes a lot from the pre-show excitement. I will definetely be back for another venue. Very magical place.

Seats are uncomfortable. Like siting in an airplane. The night before show was excellent. Not a big fan of having to put my wallet and phone into a tray and hand it to someone to visually examine.

I've seen a large circus performance in Shanghai, China, and this show was equally fantastic. The overall story was good, and the individual performances of the actors were excellent. I'm grateful for creating another wonderful memory with my family on Christmas afternoon at 4 PM. The Chicago Theatre is truly outstanding.

The theater is incredible, its architecture is fantastic, it is huge, buy your tickets in advance through any ticket app, I used Ticket Center, good results, the entrance is a disaster, there are three poorly organized lines, people are on top of each other. When you enter they check your things and use a metal detector which makes entry very very slow. The lines to buy food, drinks or souvenirs are very long. The play was good, it could have been better for what the ticket cost. It's not the best cirque du solei play, but the experience of going to Chicago is great for a Friday night. Our hotel was an 8-minute walk away, so I didn't use the parking lot, but let me tell you, it's expensive, $20 for the play

Love The Chicago Theatre! Everyone there is extremely helpful and pleasant! The Theatre is beautiful. The seats were extremely close and thus lights were bright at times in our direction. Would recommend more center seats rather to the sided, but enjoyed the facility overall.

The architecture inside this theatre is beautiful, but I definitely think it would serve the venue to get screens that hang on the sides. If you are sitting in the back, you certainly can not see the details of the performer. A great venue that has the same setup but includes screens is the Hard Rock Casino (theater portion)venue in Hollywood,FL.

It was my first time at The Chicago Theatre ever since I lived in Chicago thanks to a friend who shared the Barenaked Ladies concert tickets 🎫🥰🏙! The theatre itself was indeed breathtakingly beautiful, not just the outside but inside, and the unique architecture did make the concert experience more enjoyable. If there are other concerts that are hosted here, I’ll gladly try them out!! There was no hassle when getting in and having the tickets checked out, general environment was clean (restrooms included), and staff members were very nice as witnessed in other reviews. Do pay this place a visit when you can! ❤️

This place is so beautiful and the Neil Degrasse Tyson show was fantastic. Get to the theater people.

What a great night! The Chicago Theater allowed Primus to work their magic and put on a show truly worthy of the gods of rock and roll. Sound quality was totally dialed in and the entire audience couldn't help themselves but funk-out to the music!

The event was fantastic! Not really a bad seat in the house... The comfort of the chairs? Not so great. This beautiful, but aged theater badly needs a refresh.

So convenient when you can take South Shore. You walk less than 3 blocks. Metra also.

The Chicago Theater is a must visit if you are here! Really beautiful and well organized. Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson's speech was informative and hilarious at the same time!

Theater was stunning and staff were very helpful throughout. We had seats in box 13 (3rd floor), there are a total of 4 in this box. Would definitely recommend venue and seats.

It was a wonderful night! Staff was organized, and the seating was good. No phones were allowed, they were put in a pouch before you go in the theater. The sound was good. Other than being a bit run down, it's a nice intimate venue.

1st time there, and it's a beautiful place! My morning jacket was great & I have my nephew to thank for the tix & tour of backstage!

The red line train is literally in front of the theater so you should def ride the train to avoid parking and crazy taxis. Theres plenty of staff walking around for safety. I saw KARD this weekend and it was great. The inside is really charismatic as well

My first time here, for my 8.5 yo daughter's fave podcast pop up party: Wow in the world. Love it, quick entry & COVID checks. Only that we stayed 15 min in line to find out they were out of popcorn, very disappointing for a venue like this, when they have a program for kids, and given how much they charge for entry!!!

Loved it! Very nice theatre and staff was friendly and helpful! Went to go see Lorde on her Solar Power Tour and had the best time! Got seats on the balcony right above the floor (front row) and the only downside is if the performer is projecting on the screens you can’t see the whole screen because the ceiling above you is pretty low, balcony railing was also a little low so I would keep that in mind if you plan to be dancing to music or moving around. Awesome theater!

It was an amazing evening experience at the Chicago Theatre. It's beautifully decorated and clean. The staff was quite helpful and they even gave me a better seat for the show. You can even sit on the upper level to people watching while drinking cocktails and eating popcorn. Billy Porter was on fire and amazing as usual. A very memorable experience.

One of the most popular theaters in the downtown area. Popular shoes are often sold out on weekends. You get to see huge crowds outside. The theater is right outside the red metro line so you can conveniently access it with the CTA system. At times it can take upwards of 20 mins to get in.
