An excellent alternative to some of the high priced options in downtown Chicago. Great location on State Street. This store is well stocked - much more variety than suburban stores. Make sure to hit the clearance racks!

Someone from the American Disabilities Association should sue TJ maxx because they haven’t fixed their escalators since they opened from quarantine and now their elevators are broken. What a disgrace!!!!

I went to shopping last Monday and the ladies who were in charge at that moment (7-8 pm) they talked to me in very bad way, laughing of me and talk to me bad, only because I wanted to change a luggage I just bought, the luggage was very poor quality so I decided to change it. I am tourist, I don't speak very well English, I bought more than $500 usd and they treated me bad. They don't deserve I come back to shopping never again. Don't go to that store.

I love this store, but they need to hire more Personable leaders. I was in this store last week and overheard a coordinator talking to a employee with so much disrespect it’s sad. This is the same company that rejected me for leadership, 6 years ago. I went on to become a manager for a company that respects me. I would NEVER talk to my team the way she spoke to that young lady: I will still shop at this store for sure. I understand you all like to hire within, but make sure your people are truly ready for that role.

everyone inside is very sweet. this tj maxxx has products that seem a little less special than other tj maxxxes i have been to. fewer “brand name” wares. usually the other customers are scarce and well behaved. i like to walk around here at lunch time. however it does seem that this tj max is frequented by at least one “grazer”. someone who snacks on items from the gourmet kitchen aisle and discards the half eaten snack and wrapper elsewhere in the store. i have noticed this with a bag sun dried figs, and with a package of pink macaroons. maybe tj maxxx could start offering free samples. as a compromise.

This TJ Maxx is right in Downtown next to Primark and Macy's. You can also find Burlington which is a second brand owned by the same group for more factory priced stuff. I found Burlington and TJ Maxx on my first visit to be a mess as it was evening and many of the shelves were empty and could see a shortage of staff. The next morning's visit was a little better as things were sorted with some new stuff displayed. Didn't feel we were entering the Christmas period!

Clean and organized. Didn’t buy anything, but they had some cute Christmas decor.

Update on my previous review: Elevator smell is fixed. It is safe to go with a stroller or people with disabilities. Previous review: Elevators on both sides are stinky with pee and dirty. It is really not recommended for people with disabilities and people with strollers to use those elevators. Staff is always polite and helpful though

I enjoy the sales, summer dresses, baby section, bedspeads, and so on. This store is a part of my therapy for the day. To get away to peacefulness to browse or buy . THANK YOU.

nice clean store, it’s always hot tho. so hot that it makes u sweat. A nice selection of coats, clothes, shoes and furniture. Along with jewlery. love this store

TJ Maxx is a great store due to Covid there new merchandise is coming in slowly but accurate TJ Maxx merchandise is fantastic you won't be disappointed and there clearances area can't stay in there department long enough because of there low prices so come on down they don't charge you for looking you will be amaze

This is one of the better TJ Maxx stores I’ve been to. The men’s clothing department is larger than most other locations and it’s packed with a lot to choose from. The checkout line was long but staff worked hard to shorten everyone’s wait. I’d return here if I’m traveling in the area and need to buy something that I forgot at home.

Awful experience, the lady at the jewelry counter was sitting down eating snacks from a box and was too bothered when I asked her to view something from the jewelry counter. She wobbled over and asked me what I wanted to see and I pointed to the item and she set it on the counter, I liked the earrings and walked to the nearest mirror since she didn’t offer to make a sale by bringing one close or anything, I wanted to see how they would look on me as she mumbled “like you can even afford these” under her breath, caught by my 2 friends on the other side of the counter that I was shopping with and she didn’t know we were together. When I walked back over to where the lady was, my friends told me not to get them after I said I wanted them. She was so rude and what a disgusting attitude to have. I’ll never be back to this location. (She wore a bedazzled black 2 piece and had Bob length black hair) 1/2/24 around 11-12pm

Sketchy guys standing outside the elevator asking for money to charge people’s phones. I had a stroller, so would have had to use elevator. They scared me away from entering.

Reduced to NOTHING!, waste of my time coming and going. The mens DEPT IS A CLOSET ! So I guess that’s me and I’m not worried of shopping and if we do, we can barely make an outfit And a lot of the stores, and our money just not spendable

They are unprofessional don’t talk to the employees before fire them don’t give off the right payment they pay you whatever they want and don’t give any hours to the workers they workers also talks about one another and the workers also talk to about nasty the customer leave the store and the bathroom they talk about the customers so bad after they leave

I can find deals here. Best time to go is in he morning. Lines aren't long then.
