The visit was primarily to see the Festival of Flowers which comprised of 50,000 blooms across 60 installations. It was a magnificent backdrop that delighted the senses. The theme was Life In All It's Fullness, perhaps reminding us that connection with nature and each other is so integral to our well being. The Cathedral itself is an architectural delight. The moment you enter, it is impossible not to stop and take in the harmonious blend of arches, curves, stained glass windows and plinths rising from floor to ceiling. The art forms are just incredible. From the vibrant Chagall window, the tapestries, paintings, windows, sculptures and even the excavated Roman mosaic floor. A diverse celebration of worship through art from floor to ceiling. The Chapels are perfect for reflection and prayer and even as you take the magnitude in, the Cathedral still manages to feel intimate. You will leave feeling at peace and in awe.

Wonderful history attached to this cathedral. Well worth a visit to see it and worship here. Very well maintained, and spotlessly clean. Warm inside on a cold day, and a warm welcome at the door. Guide was very informative and helpful.

Went to attend the free music concert that's on most Tuesdays at 1.10pm during term times. Seating available. Today was very busy, first time going so unsure if always this busy. Check their website for more info relating to Tuesday's music events. I think it lasted about 50 minutes. Today was "Continuum" playing flute, recorder, cello & harpsichord. Very relaxing & pleasant. Donations in cash on the way out or there were contactless card readers dotted around the cathedral I understand. Enjoyed so I will return another Tuesday.

Beautiful cathedral. Great history. I would recommend going to a cathedral service with the choir singing to get the real spiritual experience of this incredible building. The Epiphany service around the 6th Jan used to be a real highlight of the year. Apparently the Cathedral are brining it back. If you go to the cathedral you must visit the Cathedral gardens

The moon installation was spectacular. There was a queue but we managed to be in and out in less than an hour. We were able to roam around inside the cathedral and explore its glory. There was a choir practice during our visit and they all sounded so lovely.

An absolutely delightful Catherdral to visit. So many now are ruined by excessive entrance fees, tourist signs, one-way system etc which ruin the experience. But here there is no forced entrance fee. However the suggested £5 donation if you can afford it is a much better idea. The greeters were genuinely pleased to welcome us and give us a guide. There are toilets here too. The Catherdral itself is a gem. Not one of the largest but architecturally very rich. The mosaic floor and romanesque carvings were certainly very interesting. There was a nesting peregrine falcon when we were there and there were two experts outside pointing them out. Amazing that they come here each year to nest. Really recommend a visit if you come to Chichester. You won't be disappointed.

One of the greatest cathedrals in the country. It was 900 years ago. Currently under restoration and repair work. There is an original Roman mosaic you can see through the floor glass on the right towards the back of the cathedral. A lot of interesting facts about the bishops were in charge in the cathedral in the past. Free entry but welcome for donation. You can use your contactless payment to do this. Photo taking are allowed in the cathedral. Staff are friendly and helpful. Toilet and shop are available. Paid Parking are on the street parking or car park. It’s £2.2 an hour. We had enjoyable visit this morning. Recommend to all.

Absolutely beautiful cathedral. So much history. Free to go in, so many are charging to have a look around now. The people in there were so welcoming and friendly, offering information and willing to answer any questions, lovely experience. Some beautiful stain glass windows.

Absolutely beautiful building. Didn't take many pictures, as didn't take my camera.. my phone doesn't do it justice. We couldn't go inside, but the outside was worth a trip/stop.

What a magnificent cathedral! So rich in history and there is even a Roman mosaic floor. It’s divided into different chapels that occupies a corner of the cathedral each. My favourite was the one in the far right hand corner that is reserved for private prayer.

Performed The Messiah on Saturday..the best of the 16 times I've sung it...really exciting and well received by a packed cathedral!! Lovely light experience in the cloisters and transparent screens in the nave at present...x

Really beautiful Cathedral, pictures make no justice of how stunning it is, free entry. There's a quiet space reserved for praying, really nice.

Popped in just to see what it was like and thought we'd have a bit of lunch before exploring the cathedral. Spotted a poster advertising the lunchtime concert (Chichester Symphony Orchestra playing Elgar and Hadyn) and thought why not. Absolutely stunning. Sat in the choir stalls; what an atmosphere. Concert aside, the cathedral had a very welcoming feeling about it, and the volunteers/ staff I spoke to were lovely, and there is lots of fascinating information on display. Entrance was by donation and not in your face at all, and it was a pleasure to tap on the contactless readers. A lot of cathedrals could learn from what you guys do. I suspect the church/ worship is equally as welcoming.

Last minute decision to visit the Cathedral to avoid the wind and rain... Seems they have part one of a Peace Doves display event on... It looks really impressive... around 5000 paper doves with messages written on each, suspended above the main seating area.

Impressive historic Cathedral. you make a donation to enter. Peter Walker's art installation, ‘Peace Doves’ was on display during our visit which was emotive in its own right.

Founded as a Cathedral in 1075 as you approach it from Chichester town centre it looks rather unassuming. A mix of Norman and Gothic architecture. The cathedral has many treasures and artworks and is certainly worth visiting.

A lovely old cathedral. Take a look outside and you’ll see the remains of the original tower which is much older than the rest of the main building. Has a hogwarts feel to the place. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The cathedral is absolutely stunning. I come here whenever I'm in Chi to light a candle for my dad and my friend who passed away this year in the quiet Chapel. The peace Doves are currently in the cathedral and they are stunning. Also a must is Bishops Palace Gardens, stunning 💕.

Just randomly walked and loved the time spent. The guy managing the crowd was kind enough to introduce himself and stated “he been to southern India tamilnadu” and asked me about northern india as well. Served us with few chocolates too. Would visit again!

I love old Churches and Cathedrals and have wanted to go here for a while. Unfortunately there was some building work going on whilst I waa there but this was a small area so didn't really impact my visit. Firstly I have to say they have done a great job with disabled access. Literally the only place I couldn't get to on my scooter was a raised area by the main altar, but I managed the 2 steps on my crutches. They do have a portable ramp foe wheelchairs so if you use one of these you will be fine. There is a real peace in here, and there are some amazing windows and great architecture to see. The people there are also really helpful and friendly. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was because I couldn't see everything due to the building work, otherwise it would have been 5.

Chichester cathedral unlike some English cathedrals is free to enter. You are welcomed by volunteers with a map and are advised on a route. There are also regular tours. The cathedral itself is one of the better ones I've visited, great architecture, tombs , private chapels , monuments , memorials , closter and stained glass. Currently the nave roof is being repaired so , photos from outside don't show its true beauty. A long with the cathedral , Chichester is a vibrant city and you can walk the old city walls as well. Def worth a visit

The cathedral is free entry and surprisingly large with equally hidden tid bits of information/historical features that make you feel loved. I would wholeheartedly recommend visiting the library which is located next to the shop however inaccessible (to my knowledge) to any wheelchair users. The cathedral held 13th century books and documents of all types as well as a plaque from tutor times. A place for inner reflection and a true testament to the progression of time.

These structures are really a outstanding engineering for the time. Alot of histroy and intresting exhibitions. Soak up the instant inner peace as you enter the cathedral. You can also book guided tours, light a candle for your fallen, spend some time in the prayer area and visit thier gift shop on the exit, Not forgetting the wonderful gardens.

Full of beautiful stained glass windows, this cathedral is one of the best I have seen in the UK. It is wonderfully maintained and clean through out. Hats off to those that look after it and keep it going. Highly recommend a visit.

My second visit & definitely not my last! So many wonderful things to see. Many thanks to Mike, the friendly & well-informed guide, for pointing out fascinating things I would have missed. Amazing that he studied only a few miles from where I live in Kent!
