Unfortunately it was a big disappointment! So much expectation on this restaurant but in the end no a single dish wowed me. All the presentations were super nice and pretty, the execution of the dishes were nicely done, but in my opinion every single dish lacked salt, consequently, flavour. For me, there is too much “marketing” and visuals, but the food was not as good as it seemed to be.

We had a lovely dinner at Osteria II Governo on our first night in Lezzeno. We loved that the proprietor Pietro greeted us by name and was so warm towards us throughout the evening. He took time to explain dishes and made some lovely suggestions for wines to match our meal choices. Overall a nice place and would recommend!

Hands down the best meal and restaurant we went to over our entire honeymoon. Warm, welcoming, authentic Italian experience and at such a reasonable price. We had starters, mains, desserts and 2 bottles of wine - total came to €160ish. Thank you to Pietro and staff for making our evening so delightful! We will definitely be back

Amazing food, experience and service. Everyone here cares what they are doing and every detail is perfect, including the VIP view on the two person table on the terrace. Make a reservation, you will be happy you did.

The absolute best place we have eaten in Lezzeno!! Our starter of meats and cheese was delicious. For mains we had beef fillet, sea food carbonara and pistachio pesto pasta and all were beautifully cooked. For dessert we had their tiramisu, cheesecake and chocolate cake and we enjoyed the twists the restaurant put on these. All the staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes and drink recommendations and really friendly and helpful. All in all a first class experience, definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Nestled in an atmospheric haven, our recent visit to Osteria Il Governo was a truly enchanting experience. The staff, particularly (I assume) the owner, greeted us with an unmistakable delight and passion that instantly made us feel like cherished guests. Their genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our evening was special added an extra layer of warmth to the already cozy surroundings. The food speaks for itself; we decided to visit this restaurant twice, solely to savor different items from the menu. It was truly that exceptional. The staff recommended our wines and preferences and it was both times spot on!

Such a wonderful dinner here last night. It was super easy to make a reservation online and we were seated right away. The staff was very knowledgeable of every dish and drink selection we had, and also had good recommendations. The food was delicious and the pistachio cheesecake was unreal! Once we finished, we were shown the historic part of the original restaurant. It was a great night of history and food!

Our favorite dining experience in Italy thus far! Everything surpassed our expectations. Do yourself a favor and get the pistacho pasta, it is to die for! The service was amazing and everyone was so kind and attentive. The ambiance is beautiful. Highly recommend you try this restaurant!

Osteria il Governo was an amazing experience. We walked here from our hotel the Filario, and it was one of my favorite views for lunch and the servers and owner were very welcoming and kind. The food was unique but familiar in a lot of ways. Glad we were able to go!

This little restaurant has a combination of atmosphere, food and service that is close to perfection. The restaurant is located in a cozy old building with all the authentic charm of such a place. The waiters were well dressed and friendly. We got two different pasta dishes, piglet and fish as well as desert a nice dry white wine and coffee. Especially the pistachio pasta is delicious. That Napoleon cake is also delicious. But so was everything else. I will differently recommend every one going to the region to visit!
