    You sit down at lunch and you don't get to choose from a menu. Instead the waiting staff bring you their specialty, a plate or grilled mackerel (saba). The fish is super oily, in the best way possible. Since the fish is grilled in store, prepare to smell like mackerel for *at least* the rest of the day. That being said, you probably will never get better grilled fish anywhere in the world.

    For those who failed to well comprehend the nature of Japanese cuisine this is nothing but tasteless and mundane dish that solely feeds your stomach. But for those who are matured enough to enjoy the beauty of Nihonshoku this will make your day. I'd come back and go out of the restaurant with a smile on my face. Thank you for your meal.

    Unforgettable memories. Waited 90 mins Saturday lunch time, only selling grilled mackerel with rice. Price is 1,000 yen (Tax inc.) Only cash accepted. Should visit if you like grilled fish.😘

    The lunch set (1,000yen) was amazingly delicious. The mackerel was rich but not heavy, after taste was not fishy and went so well with 🍚. Addition to that, the soy sauce was surprisingly tasty. I might come back to Hakata to eat this lunch set again🤔 Just the info I saw here, the business hours was not correct, so you should check it before you visit, in case.

    It's tricky to find this place. This place on very narrow alley next to a red traditional building. Food is very yam. Mackerel is in season specially fall
