We went there as a group. It was a marvelous stay. Highly appreciate the friendly staff for their commitment for customer satisfaction from welcome to departure. Located in a nice place with the view of sunset from the room. Easy access to beach. Attractive rooms. ( bit worried about the small bathroom). Well maintained property. Delicious meals with a special experience in the barbecue. Nicely organized for our group. We had an unforgettable experience.

Amazing place and amazing service! From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed by the friendly service and warm welcoming we received. The hotel itself is breathtaking with beautiful interiors and a splendorous view of the coast. The rooms had a high standard and were well maintained. The lounge area had a cozy environment equipped with musical instruments, billiards, books, etc. The food was delicious and was very generous in serving. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you to Mr. Mano, the manager of the hotel for being very interactive and for making sure we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Went there because it had good reviews. The service was good. Place is nice and calm and relaxed. We stayed one night with family. First day meals were good. They arranged music as well for the dinner time for us. However the breakfast is terrible and we were really disappointed about their service thereafter. The menu was decided the day before from a set menu. But we were served only some portions only! We selected the continental breakfast and a fruit juice, a cup of cut fruit, an omlet and a piece of pork bacon was the whole breakfast! There was a good list including home made bread basket with butter/jam, french toast, tea/coffee and more! Nothing were served! We were hungry and dissatisfied, why they can’t serve as how they treat guests in other means such as clean rooms! We questioned and they said that is it, and nothing else for breakfast! We were hungry and when we requested they served some bread and that is also with an angry face since we asked! Really disappointed! I can’t recommend this place to anyone. This seems a secluded place as well, only us and another room was booked on the Christmas weekend where the hotels around the town were fully booked. Seems something is not correct here.

It was a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. The place is situated in a quiet area right near the ocean. You can enjoy the stunning sunsets on the beach or on the spacious terrace located on the roof. The staff is polite and friendly, rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. I can highly recommend this place to stay if you seek for comfort stay with peaceful atmosphere. Hope to visit them again 🤍

Ideal place if you need a getaway with you loved ones. Just 1.5 hrs from Colombo. Very calm and quiet place with privacy, & a very helpful staff. We initially booked the Deluxe Room but the manager was kind enough to upgrade us to their Sunset Suite, which was quite spacious with a superb 180° view of the sea and the pool! Bathroom had a jacuzzi to relax after a tired day! Clean rooms with all amenities! Food was super yummy! Highly recommend their Thai pork, pasta and the mix rice! Would definitely visit here again.

Went for a quick weekend getaway with a group of friends! Stayed in their Deluxe rooms which were very comfortable and larger than average hotel rooms! Food was on point and one of the highlights! Rooftop and the garden is superb for private gatherings (also good for watching sunsets). Very helpful and well trained staff. Having a cold on while taking a dip in the pool watching Sunsets is a must do!❤️

Excellent place to relax and rewind! Few steps to beach, we enjoyed watching sun set every evening through out our four days stay as well as the ocean view. Awesome view to the beach, and a really nice place to stay! Price is not too costly as they provide bed & breakfast (or B&B for short) and with free wi-fi, air conditioning and great room to get comfortable at night, i wouldn't have any better place to look at the sunset!

This place is ideal to relax by the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. There’s a pool, rooftop, restaurant, a game room, rental bikes as well. Having a restaurant at the place was convenient and the food was delicious. They serve fresh fruit juice too. If you’re looking for a relaxing place alone or as a family this is an ideal place.

This is the utter worst place where I spent a day in my whole life. We were given very cheap breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. The pool was smaller than the baby pool. Unprofessional staff. No intercom, No hair Dryer, No room Service. No towels, at least, we were not provided a complimentary water bottles during our stay. This place shouldn't consider as a hotel. Please don't waste your time and money by choosing this place.

The hotel staff were so courteous an helpful in every way.The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean and neat.Coming to food quality itwas spicy and delicious... There is a nice play ground and our kids enjoyed a lot with playing cricket, badminton, football and swimming...Inthe night There was a nice Calypso ... l highly recommend this hotel to anyone visits Chilaw.,

It was a very good hotel with an picturesque sea view. The garden had a sufficient area to play. The meals were amazingly delicious, with a large buffet with a variety of Sri Lanka and Western food. The staff was very friendly and caring. The rooms were very clean and spacious, which had a large functioning television and a comfortable bed. I highly recommend you to visit this place.

Access to the hotel is very easy and the view of the beach and particularly the Sunset was amazing. The food and the staff as well as the rooms were top notch. Overall it was a very relaxing stay with my family and would highly recommend Calypso Sunset to anyone.
