    Chilaw on of the precious unspoiled city you meet while driving towards puttalam. 80km from colombo. The main income of the people is Cultivation and fishing. The lagoon is a unique area which provide a nice view to chilaw. People use this lagoon for fishing and riding boats.

    This is a one of beautiful lagoon in srilanka,various types of mangroves and fish are available in chilaw lagoon.due to the fact too much motor boats riding ,and ilttering to the lagoon ,water has been poluted .all fish which catching from chilaw lagoon ,can not eat.it smels kerosene.
