Great place. It is a historical site on Chios island. Very clean and very well preserved and the gentleman who takes care of this place is very nice and tells you the story of the place in a few words. There's no entrance fee and there is also a toilet in there.

Brilliant restoration. Admired the turquouise tiles and the stone work. Wish all other Ottoman buildings in Chios will be brought to life like this one.

(Translated by Google) I visited the Baths and really was a very good experience. They have been preserved in a very good condition. There is a warrior in the area where he helps to tour the area. The entrance is free. It is located very close to the harbor and close to the castle of Chios. It is worth visiting.

(Translated by Google) It dates back to the 18th century, a century of great prosperity for Chios. It served to serve the Muslim inhabitants of the Castle. In addition, it includes a mosque with its cemetery. It covers an area of 365 sq.m. and consists of ten halls. The premises are typical for the buildings of its kind: first the locker room or cold room, where the entrance was opened. He communicated with the warm place that was heated moderately (around 35 ° C) to get used to the heat. Then there was a large warm place where the temperatures were now high (45 ° C). Two smaller therms served for secondary services, such as grooming, epilation or skin care, etc. In the middle of the large warm space, beneath the imposing dome, a distance of 7.90 m, was dominated by the marble bench of the massage. Water tanks and the cauldron space were necessary for the operation of the bath. In communicating with the dressing room, after entering, it was the bathing room, while in communication with the tepid space that is an elongated corridor, there were the lavatories. All the spaces are covered by impressive domes.

(Translated by Google) The symbol of cleanliness is an Ottoman Artifact; Turkish Bath ... Indeed, during the Turks period, great investment and service was made to the island.   E.g; There was a very severe earthquake on the island on April 3, 1881. 5000 people died in Chios and 20,000 people were saved as injured. More than 30,000 people are homeless.    The Ottoman Empire soon established a new government building, courthouse, prison building, prison, hospital, three mosques, two lodges, fourteen churches, a synagogue, twenty-nine fountains, 719 houses, 169 shops, 1851 wooden sheds and 6000 m. road to the road. 37 churches, 638 wooden barracks, 883 houses, sixty shops in suburbs and gardens outside the city; 53 churches, 486 wooden sheds, 1140 houses and 107 shops in mountainous villages; 8 churches, 253 wooden barracks, 209 houses, twenty four shops in the verondotos career; 11 churches, 562 wooden sheds, 1490 houses, thirty-two shops were repaired or rebuilt in Mastaki villages.    On this occasion, I commemorate my ancestor with mercy ...
