Reaching
the
waterfall
involves
navigating
a
steep
and
broken
muddy
road,
approximately
3.5
kilometers
long.
Typically,
jeeps
are
available
to
transport
visitors
from
the
main
road
to
the
falls.
The
waterfall,
aptly
named
Buttermilk
Falls,
is
a
delightful
sight
and
the
water
is
refreshingly
cold.
I've
visited
this
waterfall
numerous
times
because
it
allows
you
to
get
up
close,
touch,
and
play
in
the
water.
Remarkably,
the
waterfall
is
situated
on
private
property,
and
the
owner
generously
allows
free
access
to
tourists,
without
any
restrictions.
On
my
recent
visit,
I
noticed
they
were
even
widening
the
pathway
to
facilitate
vehicle
movement.
Accessing
the
waterfall
can
be
a
bit
challenging.
You
can
opt
to
trek
a
distance
of
approximately
3-5
kilometers
or
hire
a
jeep
at
the
main
gate,
which
costs
around
800
INR
for
a
round
trip
for
a
family.
Although
the
jeep
ride
can
be
a
bit
bumpy,
it's
generally
manageable
for
kids
and
elderly
couples.
However,
I
would
advise
caution
to
those
with
back
problems.
The
jeep
can't
reach
the
waterfall
directly;
it
stops
about
100
meters
away,
requiring
a
short
walk
to
reach
the
falls.
