Dzonbakal is a halfopen Cenote with beautiful turquoise and clear water. It’s one of the less popular cenotes, so there are not too many people yet. It’s easy walking down (good stairs) and getting into the water (ladder). I liked the snorkeling, the light was beautiful. Especially when you get down to the cave-entrance (straight from where you get in), turn around towards the entrance and swim up, the view is just so beautiful. Dzonbakal is close to the Cenote x‘Batun and the entrance fee (150 pesos in May 2023) is valid for both.

Part covered Cenote and receives minimal to no sunlight. Hence the water is super cool. Mostly natural except for the staircase leading to the cenote. Naturally lit and the water is so clear that one can easily see the floor even with the dim natural lighting.

Really nice spot and two great cenotres. We were lucky to have the place to ourself which made it magical but if busy I can imagine it feeling cramped as it’s not a big space. There are toilets, showers and changing room. Lots of fish in the water. The roads to get there are not great and have big pot holes but it’s worth the journey.

Bonito pero muy pequeño y se junta mucha gente. Beautiful Cenote but very small and a lot of people gather here. Please be sure to check the closing times, I believe they close at 5 so be aware.

Such a hidden gem, water is very warm, lots of fish to give a free pedicure, almost no people and the cave is simply stunning. When the sun hits the water, it’s one of the prettiest colors I saw.

Another cenote that is definitely worth visiting, bring your scopes or your camera and enjoy snorkeling and observing the bottom of the cavern, which is undoubtedly impressive. Super recommended. Please if you visit the cenotes make sure to take your garbage with you and keep them clean.

Absolutely loved this cenote. Well cared for and pristine water. The Ejido takes great care of it. The food at Mulix Na was very tasty!

nice for a swim with lots of small fish that give you a free pedicure. as in xbatul you have to pay 500mxn to bring a camera which is ridiculously and makes no sense.

Beautiful cenote but somewhat small. Half inside a cave, half outside. 1 story down, stairs only.
