This hotel was the worst experience for me and my wife ever! If I could give zero stars I would! One star is too much! We would never recommend this hotel for anyone. Especially for tourists with dollars because they take total advantage of you and deceive you! Here our experience: First day, the manager Roxanna gave us the the worst room, it was completely dirty and dusty. The sheets on the bed smelled horrible. The shower would not drain which made us stand in 3 inches of dirty water in seconds. It seemed like this room hadn’t been used in months! We did not get any sleep as the room was so noisy because they gave us a room right next the busy street! The next day we talked to the supervisor and they gave us new room. This room wasn’t any better and it had the same problem with the shower not draining. We also noticed when we looked up at the ceiling there was black mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet was also clogged which we had to go find a plunger and unclog ourselves .The bathroom also had a horrible pee smell that lasted 4 days! The front desk people were very rude and unprofessional especially Roxanna...don’t know if Roxanna is her real name as they are not honest to customers. We invited 25 family members for lunch and 4 of them wanted to use the pool, so went and talked to Roxanna about getting pool passes and she said we needed to pay more money for each person to use the pool! We had already spent L6000.00 on lunch and she said it would cost us another L150.00 for each person to use the pool.. we found out from another employee she wasn’t completely truthful because L150 included a hamburger and fries with a pool pass. I think she lied to us because we are Americans and we don’t understand the Hotel policies. Also at the end of the lunch we had lots left over food and we asked for containers to let family take home and they said they didn’t have togo containers! They also took advantage of us buying water. The first day they charged us L20.00 and the the next day they charged L30.00 for the same bottle of water.. they took full advantage of us since we are not local people. This place also doesn’t answer the phone when you try to call from your room. We had to walk to the front desk to ask any questions! When we checked out , the current exchange for the dollar was L24.15 lempiras and they only gave us L17.00 lempiras! This place is a ripoff and they are money hungry! This hotel has potential to be great, unfortunately it has really bad management and ownership! Be careful if your tourists! One other thing, we went to the Hotel Colonial for lunch with family and the service and food was wonderful! I would also say it was very clean! If we would of known about this place we would NEVER had stayed at the Gualiqueme!

This hotel is full of highs and lows... A mixed bag. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. There's a lot of green area to walk, and the food is fine. However, I found a spider roaming around my bed, which they took care of, the shower is not working properly, towels are old and kind of stained, maintenance in some areas is lagging behind, and the fitness area is broken. So, overall, a mixed bag.

Swimming pool and pool bar and restaurant have the worst attention ever! The swimming pool is dirty, too much chlorine, tiles are missing from the swimmingpool floor. The changing rooms and bathrooms are absolutely disgusting at any time of day!! Now, the attention when you reserve a salon for an event, now that is impeccable! I highly recommend this hotel for hosting parties or even business meetings like the one I'm holding today. The bathrooms are neat, there's a waiting area, and the attention from the servers and staff is beyond amazing, they try to help you out with all you request (obviously if you ask nicely). Oh, it seems expensive, but it's actually very accessible.

I been using this hotel for a couple time . And twice thing have been stoling i lost a wach i the only place i was .and they haven’t been responsible i ask for someone help me and theres was not manager there. I also lost a shoes and they do the same thing … if u plane to stay there take care of ur things

Good hotel for the area. Restaurant and bar inside. Good open area. Clean and kind staff.

Just went for lunch, and the food was great! Service was very slow, and they did not have a lot of things from the menu.

The outside was beautiful. The shower didn't work very well. A/C worked great. The restaurant didn't seem very clean. The juice containers at breakfast looked like they may have never been washed.

Good service despite a brief power outage.

Really nice and beautiful hotel with great facilities and good food and drinks menu. Staff were excellent and the rooms really clean.

Rooms are decent, hotel seems dated but nice and quaint. The pool steps are a little slippery so watch out going in.

Security comfortable rooms and good restaurant. Parking for large rigs and motorcycle. Clean rooms, large pool bar at pool.
