If it could have 0 stars it would be given one, I attended here 4 weeks away from my friends wedding. They canceled her wedding 4 weeks out, are refusing to give her, her money back for the wedding and all the guest that booked to stay there aswell. When this place opens back up I hope after what they have done canceling so many peoples wedding and guest that had booked to stay without a refund that they are unsuccessful and there are remembered for there terrible customer service

Looks great online with ample parking, but this is where the good illusion ends, I regret to advise. Couldn't park, poor service on check in, went to my room which was already allocated to someone, restaurant last seating 830pm, bar good size but ill stocked and sticky / dirty absolutely no professional service. Bar food simple options almost fast food as the kitchen closed at 9pm sharp. I had to use a soup spoon to eat my main meal as there was nothing else. Zero table service, not the end of the world. Bedroom grotty, dated with curtains hanging off the wall and faulty toilet wasting water. The swimming pool early AM was small and to the left of what looked like it was either under repair or under construction of some sort. Jacuzzi was great. Breakfast we were able to use restaurant no service despite sign stating stay wait to be seated then you slip your manhood into the hole through the leather look chair as it is split carefully standing when you realize they have quite literally got you by the balls. Breakfast food was good coffee nice cutlery almost clean enough to be acceptable. I am someone who has to travel for work every week, I love my job, and although I stick to a mid-range budget I found this fell far short in ever way. The site is huge it has fantastic opportunity ahead of itself but need major injection of money or it will turn into a load of houses.

Group on deal. 2 nights accommodation 1 night dinner 2 day breakfast. Food was superb. Staff were exceptional, very helpful nothing but compliments to them all. Rooms were outstanding a little noisy next to the kitchens preparing breakfast. We had wine with our dinner. Wine was very pricey £22 a bottle. Views and the lake added to our visit. Definitely worth a visit. We will return in future.

Its a very nice place to stay with or without kids. Swimming pool is very nice, the lake with lots of ducks always attract my kids. The price is always affordable even during busy periods, We been using this place since 2004, and everytime we go we love the place more. The breakfast is very nice and staff at restaurant is very very nice.

Continental breakfast includes juices, croissants and cheese slices. Ridiculous

Where to start? The positives - a great evening in the function room and the buffet food got a good 4 out 5 as did the FoH staff. Breakfast was also good but the breakfast room was like a sauna! Bar staff need lots of training and someone with experience that can show the inexperienced ones what to do. Never have a function without prosecco and try not to run out of white wine. The rooms were generally OK (if a little hairy) but not ideal leaving a window open during the coldest part of the year so far. Heating around the hotel wasn't great (freezing in the corridors).

We only went to a Christmas party. But it was really disorganised. The staff was fine but not many of them. I don't even blame the manager or the staff. They did what was best. I blame the company who own it. Obviously trying to reopen it on a budget. This was one of those hotels who sacked the staff cancelled all the weddings and took the dodgy money from the government to house asylum seekers. Company's like that should not get supported I feel sorry for the staff who work there

Rooms are comfortable but somewhat dated and ready for a refresh. Service was friendly and very efficient and the location is lovely and very convenient for the M6

Currently being renovated. The staff were great, really friendly & welcoming. We accidentally left an Armani watch in our room. Rang the hotel & it had been handed to reception for collection.

Hotel is currently going through a complete refurbishment, so do not take my 3* Rooms rating as a negative. Rooms are clearly tired as of Sept '23. Hotel has only been open for a short time after being closed. Now under new ownership and they are clearly spended a significant amount of money on bringing it up to a very high standard which this Hotel was always known for. Please Expect workers on site, areas being decorated, sections of the site closed off. Design Boards are displayed in the Bar Area to view. Work is expected to be ongoing to end of 2023, but non of this should stop you booking this hotel. Having both working in the Hotel industry and now due to work being a frequent hotel guest around the UK, there is nothing that negatively impacts your stay. You receive a warm welcome any time of day or night with 24hr reception. Food is very good, even with a limited menu. Breakfast is certainly worth the charges and Staff are welcoming and attentive. I will update this review, Post-Refurb! To at least give views a true representation of this hotel.

Rooms very old and tired, bathroom held together by cellotape, iron mark on room carpet and beds were dirty on arrival. Walls are paper thin so very very noisy. Only one lift which was intermittent. Staff were very friendly and polite. Hotel has potential but needs a LOT of investment.

Tha location was stunning. The Food delicious & the service second to none. The hotel is in the middle of refurbishment so the rooms needed updating. The potential is clearly there. Wishing the new owners all the best. It will he amazing.

Hotel is old and dirty. When arrived there were problem with toilet flashing, not sorted out, but then worked more or less. Personal is gentle and very accomodant, even if, in 4 days staying, the towels number was always wrong. The position and the surroundings were good, easily access to all lancashire country and villages

Very dated rooms but very clean. If your looking for a cheap Night away it's fine, felt sorry for the one guy trying to run reception do the bar and deal with complaints 🤦. Reminded me of Faulty towers 🤣. We had a good laugh to be honest and would go back, hopefully they upgrade the hotel soon.

Beautiful surroundings but too many maintenance issues. No lift working so majority of guests allocated first floor although room is quiet. Problems with bathroom plumbing, no tv system working in any room which is not acceptable when youre staying for a week. Also very limited evening meal menu if staying more than a few days. Staff very pleasant and try to accommodate but maintenance issues seem to be out of their control. Sure the hotel will improve eventually but cannot recommend based on this stay. Also the photos on the website are from many moons ago and do not bear a resemblance to what the site looks like now so bear that in mind.

Stay was wonderful. Its set in beautiful grounds with a lake and ducks! The rooms we stayed in were clean to a high standard. Food excellent. All the staff of the hotel are friendly and polite and bend over backwards to make sure you have a happy stay. all staff on at pageant week...thank you xxx

Two stars are for great food, great dining area staff and most of the hotel staff. Our first encounter was an extremely rude and unhelpful receptionist with dyed bright red hair. Got worse from there. The chalets we were in are appalling. Everything in tatters and run down. So depressing. Reception ate is smart, but nowhere else was. Roof falling down in swimming area, steam rooms don't work. Couldn't look at beds after seeing the stains poking out under cover of duvet! Trying to find a decent seat in dining room was impossible. Having said all that, Manager Alex and Paul did everything they could to make our 3 day stay bearable.

reception walking in was beautiful. check in was smooth and staff were helpful. Room was nice and beds clean and comfy. Cleaning wasnt the best but it was tidy enough. Struggled to manage a wheelchair and suitcases in the small lift and through large fire doors. Restaurant was very nice and food was ok, staff very friendly and attentive for dinner service. Went to the health suite and oh my goodness, the state of the small pool was dire! floor looked dirty and stained, middle of it just looked like bare plaster. the roof looks like it has caved in several times and one part even has a tarpaulin covering it. Needs sorting out majorly. we would come back and use the hotel but not if we were looking for a relaxing pool and hot tub. also on our visit the disabled lift stopped working making our stay very difficult as most facilities were up the steps to the bar

Park Hall has great staff, they are so welcoming from reception, bar and restaurant. The big question is how much profit are the owners/bosses making from the extortionate prices at the bars? I have never came across so high prices in my life for a pint of beer and a double vodka + diet coke. Nearly £14.00 for just 2 drinks is totally disgusting, I maybe of a certain age however that should not be an issue. I certainly hope the bar staff are on some sort of bonus, but that is no excuse for the prices either. On a good note rooms clean, breakfast was good but should have been hotter, chairs at breakfast time so uncomfortable, tables not far enough apart, quite squished in. I'm not apology sing for comments because I speak/say how I feel and hope, no need changes to be made if this company needs to survive.

Excellent stay and amazing value. The catering and hospitality team were attentive and produced excellent food. Service couldn't be faulted. The village rooms are very large and offer tranquillity as they are remote from the main building

Stayed as part of a larger group my room was well presented and clean however the room was unbelievably hot overnight were as some of the rooms in the party experienced cold drafty rooms especially from around the windows in the main hotel and village rooms Breakfast was a let down no alternative egg option other than fried, no white bread available and had run out of orange juice At £10 per person I expected a better offering I enjoyed the hash browns and mushrooms other than tomatoes that weren't cooked properly the black pudding was rock hard and bacon salty as I don't eat sausage or fried egg it was a poor do, the only good things was the limitless coffee, but they ran sort of cups?? Dont understand why things weren't available as we went down well within the time slot for breakfast.

We stayed at Park Hall for one night away on a Groupon deal. As soon as we parked and got out of the car we smelt a horrible strong smell of petrol. We checked into the room but the room smelt of petrol and it was giving me a headache so we decided to go to reception to see if we could change rooms . We saw a lady called Emma who was acting Manger for the evening and she apologised for the smell and explained it was the boiler and that rooms on the first floor would have this issue. She changed our room to the second floor, away from the boiler, she gave us complimentary drinks in the bar and even arranged for a bottle of wine with our meal. She was amazing!! The hotel should think about promoting her to Manager (rather than acting) she was so pleasant and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had an unexpected situation in the restaurant later in the evening but the staff were all so friendly and helpful we had a little giggle about it later and also at breakfast! (you'll not forget that one!!) The staff and cleanliness and food quality do this hotel credit! We had such a lovely stay such that we are going back mid-Christmas to have a little "us time" and staying in such a friendly and comfortable hotel. Management need to sort the boiler situation as I am sure more people would love to stay there and maybe haven't said anything about it. Thank you to Emma and all the staff at Park Hall, really looking forward to seeing you all again at Christmas! xxx
