Nice airy café, plenty room for pushchairs /wheel chairs. Food tasty, service good. Usually busy whenever you go. Nice to wander around the garden centre, which sells everything including gifts.

Nice food,quite good service, we watched staff clean tables but not the menus our menu had all sorts on it we had to clean our hands to eat our food,hope you will take this on board as we would like to visit again.

This is one of my favourite garden centres to take my mum as the food is great.

This is a lovely cafe with a great selection of cakes. There’s a simple breakfast menu, and the full fry up was perfect. The poached eggs and salmon was a little bit of a let down, with not much salmon and over cooked eggs on limp toast. Great coffee, and great service though. Looking forward to trying some of their other offerings.

Absolutely superb lunch, served by lovely staff and a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Drinks could have been hotter, asked for some hot milk and the waitress offered to get a new one but got milk was ok. She couldn't have done anymore. food was great. Very busy so give it a go.

Having read many of the preceding reviews, my wife and I went along to the garden centre and had a snack over lunchtime on Sunday. Well, I must have caught them on an off day! The restaurant was ok; the service was pretty slow, though initial taking of order was quite quick. Waiting 25 mins for a cup of coffee and a soft drink wasn't really acceptable and although the food followed within a further 5 mins, the toasted sandwiches were tepid i.e. they had been sat on a surface awaiting collection. The glass served with the cold drink was grubby and when I asked one of the staff to change it for me, she looked at me like I'd asked for something outrageous and didn't actually say a word to me! The glass was returned duly washed. The general demeanour of the waiting staff was grim and unsmiling. The quality of the food was so-so. The service was pretty poor. Given that it wasn't cheap, I would have expected (and indeed have had) far better. Oh, one more thing ...... there are several 'hand made' notices dotted about the place and in particular one that refers to the behaviour of dogs - sorry guys this is a nonsense, particularly when you allow a bunch of noisy children to disrupt the peace! Unlikely to be back unless and until you sort yourselves out.

Very nice cafe within the garden centre. Visit tgevplace for a friend baby shower and it was a very nice surprise.. Staff is very attentive and food is delicious.. I ordered the Sunday beef roast, massive portion amd very tasty and tender meat. The homemade Dessert selection is impressive.. i had the best carrot cake ever!! Will definitely come back!!

We were seated in the cafe at a table that was full of the previous customers cake and coffee cups. The table next to us was vacant too, but covered in the same. Whilst we waited for our coffee and hot chocolate, the table next to us was cleaned and ours was ignored and left covered in filth. The lady that served us seemed really inconvenienced by the fact that we only ordered 2 drinks and nothing else. We waited a long time to be served the drinks too, considering that's all we ordered. There were loads of staff serving, so I really don't think there is an excuse.

We went on a Sunday and would advise pre booking as we'd previously been unable to dine on other another weekend due to not being able to eat having not booked. Service was slow as it was waitress service taking orders and we had to ask to order and then told we weren't on the waitresses list so had to wait even longer to place order with another waitress Once order was taken food was served ok. Menu covers snack meals and mains and also a vast choice of cakes. We chose jacket spud and filling and sandwich plus side of sweet potato fries which were all beautifully cooked and presented.

Went for lunch with a friend. Very enjoyable, food excellent as always. Recommend booking a table as it is always busy. Had a browse round the garden centre whilst there.

Very welcoming staff, the menu is varied with excellent choices available, sometimes a short wait but well worth it.

CLUB sandwich 🥪 seems a bit pricey on the menu. But when it came, it was well worth the money, felt & looked like it had a full chicken 🐔 and pig 🐖 on it. Chips were good too. 👍

Have been a few times now, staff always friendly and is a lovely restaurant. However, my food orders have had small mistakes, like ordering white bread and getting brown, or asking for crisps instead of chips, and getting neither. My only feedback would be a little more attention to detail. No one checks in to see if you need anything after the mains are given. Also, I've always been up for a dessert, but oddly they clear the table of mains after the customers leave. It means we don't get asked if we want desserts or anything else. Just small observations, certainly not enough to put me off going. But I think if it's table service, it shouldn't mean having to constantly try and grab attention for things like drinks and desserts. This has been on every occasion, so not just a one off. So yeah, a little constructive feedback, but overall lovely staff and nice food.

Been here many times, for breakfast and lunch, the breakfast is great, well cooked, looks good and tastes great. Lunch was very good too. Can get busy, better booking a table, but there’s good reason, the restaurant is lovely, really nicely decorated and the food is good.

Love this place, good coffee, great cakes, good food and choice, but..... Let down this day and age by not providing wifi, it really is regrettable that i couldnt type this review whilst enjoying our experience here. Theres even wifi on buses these days.

Every aspect of this superb restaurant is delightful. The ambience, efficiency and friendliness of caring staff are a credit to the establishment. The prime objective of visiting is to eat well. We certainly do that in abundance. We have never eaten a meal that we have not enjoyed. The chefs in the kitchen work so hard, their efforts are greatly appreciated. There is a lady called Leanne who is in charge of the restaurant. She manages this extremely well. Sadly, she will be leaving shortly and will be greatly missed. We just hope that it will continue in the same vein.

Food and service is very good..just don't let young people serve you..they think its ok to carry a bottle of your water under their sweaty fat armpit..yuk

Great lunch this weekend with family. Food delicious, tasty, hot and plenty to choose from. Staff are friendly and efficient. Been coming here for years and well before the new restaurant was built. We've always had excellent food and good service. Well done and thank you to all the staff.

My carrot cake was burned on the bottom desires that every thing was fine.

Food is fine, but the cutlery is horrendous - really cheap, knives dig into the palms as you're eating. Why try to economise on this???

Presented ourselves at the door to be seated, why? There was only 3 couples seated and the staff member led me to a table right in the corner! Confused! Breaky Not worth a fiver now they have increased The price. Gota lovely cactus plant from the nursery tho!!!

Food is good, prices are decent. Service is very slow, but it was extremely busy so understandable. Didn't have chance to try any of the cakes but they looked incredible!
