I am transported to the Mediterranean Coast in Italy as I walk through the entrance to the Mediterranean Food Company. The Italian Flag flies high in the sky as the rustle of the bush branches and bird song serenades the outdoor dining area. I drink the cool water provided at my table, instantly cooling me down after a long day at the scammer call centre. Excitement floods everywhere in my body, from the head to toe as the pizza arrives on my table. I dig in with no hesitation. The cheesy base melts right into my mouth, giving me the taste of exotic cheeses. Italian rolled pancetta and prawns present in my pizza subtly complement each other, creating an authentic Mediterranean taste like no other. The mushroom, together with the white truffle oil adds an exorbitant tone to the pizza. The crust of the pizza is thin and crispy, but slightly burnt in some places. Eating the burnt areas gave me cancer. The pizza got me bricked up. Giggity-giggity-giggity-giggity Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang Walla walla, bing bang Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang Walla walla, bing bang.

Great place for a family catch up. I would like to elaborate on this review. Me and my partner went in to get takeaways and when we arrived we saw my parents were in there on a date, then when I walked in the door my brother was in there third wheeling on someone else's date. Complete lack of communication between us but it was great to see them and absolutely hilarious.

Really disappointed in the lack of transparency around the Christmas/New Year closing period. When I finally got hold of them I was told that I should subscribe to the newsletter or trawl through their FB posts to find out when they would reopen. Or, drive past and read the notice on the door…I suggested they update their website and have a message on the voicemail but those suggestions were just met with excuses. I have loved coming here over the years but this has been an unpleasant and, quite honestly, unnecessary experience. You can do better than this.

The food was nice at the Mediterranean food company. I attended a Christmas work do and we had the set menu. The salami and prosciutto was really nice. The pizza and platter was yum. The risotto was done slightly under what I personally like, if not it's a really nice dish favour wise. This is also my first time trying a proper Risotto. And lastly, we can never get enough of dessert which was tiramisu. The food supermarket have a great variety of food to look at and choose from to buy

Beautiful foods, great prices, feels like your in Italy! Lovely friendly staff. Amelia was so kind and sweet. Great coffee too. Highly reccomend.

We shared a gnocchi and pizza - the gnocchi reminded me of Italy, and the pizza was authentic woodfired Italian pizza. Very delicious!! They also have a huge range of meats, cheeses, pasta, etc for platters and meals in their grocery store. I'll be back for some more gnocchi!

I've just had the best pastry I've ever tasted here. (Fruit pinwheel?) Wonderful coffee too. Ohh delicious food! It's the only place I can get mushroom stock cubes too. Lovely polite and caring counter guy. 🥂

Haven’t eaten here, but I ordered an item from their shop as a Christmas present for a family member in the area and the service was phenomenal and they took great care of me. Sounds like a lovely place!

Love this shop. So many European goodies reminds me of home a bit. Didn't have the food at the cafe but the tiramisu and bread are amazing. Will have to come back for the pizza and gelato

Shop great. Friendly checkout. Best focaccia warm at 11am but goes quickly so best to order!

Food is average. Pasta and focaccia not flavorful. Pizza base was too thin and unable to hold toppings, so almost everything fall off when I lift a slice. During lunch, the sun shoot straight to the table, uncomfortable.

A cut above ,great setting ,a very good selection of Mediterranean food products. Very competent staff providing great service. Definitely an uplifting dining Cafe experience, belisimo

Our go to treat place, we love Mediterranean food so shopping is a treat and the food at the restaurant part is delicious, The best tiramisu in Canterbury.

Really great shop in here with some nice (cheap!!) wines and lots of med classics - I come here to buy dolma (both arabic and greek types available here on my last visit). The staff are very friendly and attentive. When we went for the lunch the majority of customers were of the older persuasion, which might explain the pasta - it was quite watery and bland. We all had to put a lot of chilli oil and flakes on our food. I was excited to try the focaccia but it seemed a bit stale. However, I have heard good things about the pizza (have not tried it) and the wine was nice!!

Great place for lunch, will recommend trying the ricotta cake if it's available, OMG, you can't get enough of it. Our waiter, Pablo, was amazing! Great service, always with a smile ☺. Pizza... what to say? Buonnisima! Quality products, very tasty and good size. 🤌😘 Will be back soon to try their tiramisu!

First visit today, very impressed with the excellent service whilst dining and when buying products in the shop. Food was yummy, fresh, nicely presented. Would definitely come back and recommend.

Love this place! They also have a store in riverside market. Fresh pizza dough and deli meats makes for fantastic pizza nights at home!

The food and service here is always outstanding! The lovely staff are more than happy to help, and there is a wide array of delicious food on the menu. It's a nice place for a catch up with coffee or a meal. We go back regularly for the tiramisu!
