This hotel is not the ideal place if you are hosting a business conference/event here. We stayed here for conference for 4 days and all 4 days their AC did not work in any of their conference rooms and we were crammed up in sauna rooms the whole time. They tried fixing it but failed each time. Rooms - I got the one facing the city and architects of this hotel clearly did not design this properly. The lighting in rooms is super low, so when you open the curtains, the buildings across from you can easily see you as the bathroom is facing the window. Everything was super old and dated. Also if you are a light sleeper, you will struggle as you hear all cars/trucks/planes noises even if you are on the highest floor. The balconies are shared so no privacy from your neighbor rooms. Lobby smelled like wet damp swamp each day. Parking is $35 each night if you have a rental. The Goods - There were good food places in walking distance and a nice bar inside the lobby area that served food. There was a cool souvenir shop inside the lobby as well.

We really loved the location of this hotel- we had a beautiful bay view with the most gorgeous sunsets. The balcony is a little small with zero privacy, you basically share the entire row with everyone. This hotel is the perfect walking distance if you are looking to spend time in Little Italy, USS midway, Seaport Village or taking a Hornblower or Flagship boat ride (Lots of other boat options too!) We used one morning to take the ferry over to Coronado which was a short walk from the hotel. The hotel itself however is slightly dated. I found the beds to be very comfortable. The towels are extremely small. I wasn’t super happy with the pool- doesn’t get a lot of sun as it’s in the middle of the towers and there is no jacuzzi. However, self park is pretty reasonable and so is the price of the overall stay. They had a complimentary transfer to the airport which was very convenient as well and saved us an Uber! Overall we had a nice stay and if you’re looking for a good location and a comfortable place to lay your head at night, this is a great spot.

If there is a hotel with a more effective combination of service, accomodations, and location, I'd love to know. This hotel really has their stuff together! Great views from a corner suite. Quiet at night except for the occasional plane taking off but that stops early. The food for breakfast is really a true restaurant with a wide variety of options. I worked out all four days and it was always clean and usually empty. Quality equipment. The pool was great. The biggest takeaway was how kind and helpful staff was.

The moment I arrived at the hotel I immediately got a bad feeling about it. The lobby had an odd smell. For an "upscale hotel" it was located in a lousy part of town. Lots of homeless vagrants roaming around. It was a complete let down. The hotel itself seemed dated. But here's where it really went down hill. I booked online to get a discount from there own website. The original plan was to stay Friday to Sunday. Well after booking, I realized I needed to be back home before Sunday. I called the hotel and a young lady moved me up one day. So now I'm scheduled to stay Thursday to Saturday. She says I will get a $57.50 credit because the week nights are a little cheaper. Great! Both nights I could barely get any sleep because there was a humming noise all night I suppose coming from the elevators. There were motorcycles screaming up and down the main street outside. There was a Navy ship in the harbor that from time to time would sound it's horns. Oh my god! I wanted a quiet get away and this was not the place to get that. I had enough and got up at 4:00 am on Saturday to check out and head back to AZ. A few days later I still hadn't gotten my $57.50 credit and on top of that I was charged a $20.50 late check out fee! I checked out at 5:00 am Saturday morning! I had a heck of time getting someone to take care of this when I called them about it. Needless to say, I'll never stay there again. So disappointing.

Heads up - This hotel doesn't clearly state this but they charge $40 a day to park. I was informed of this very shortly before my trip and only in very small print. If you are staying for multiple days, this could be a large, unexpected cost. As for the hotel itself, this is a great location really close to public transportation. It is within walking distance of multiple great restaurants/delis, and the rooms are clean and spacious. I will be staying here again but without the car.

Read this before you stay here. Probably this hotel is one of the most consistent hotels in which I’ve ever stayed. Every problem or request was met with a polite promise to correct. And every promise wasn’t addressed. “Need some bar soap please.” “Sure no problem. We’ll take care of it.” That didn’t happen. “When housekeeping makes up the room, could they please bring a no-slip mat for the bathtub?” “Sure no problem. We’ll take care of it.” That didn’t happen. There were more. When I checked out and was asked if everything was OK, I shared the above and the front desk clerk volunteered that he would ask the manager to call and make things right. Maintaining their level of consistent service, no one has called.

The building exterior was definitely designed in the mid 60’s, but interiors have been updated. Had to call front desk for a working iron & again for batteries for the safe. They we’re very prompt however. King beds are very comfy. Note: if you’re facing the bay - be prepared for noise. The bikes & boat bells run at all hours.

We booked this room based on the reviews we saw. However, this hotel did not meet my expectations. When we walked in room seemed fine, but when I opened the fridge there was food left over from previous guest and the carpet was wet and sheets were not clean. Also, a girl at front desk had an attitude when I told her I just had a quick question. I paid almost $300 for one Sunday night and I don’t think it was worth it. I doubt I’ll ever book a stay here.

The location of the hotel is great and overall we had a nice stay. Two things were unusual, however: 1) Upon arrival we were told that there were no more cribs for our two year old even though we had called in ahead of time to reserve one. After pointing out that the youngest child needs a bed too they were able to locate one. 2) the hotel has no microwave in the common area to heat up food, occasionally. Renting one is $10/day which is rather inconvenient, considering that the rental price is the same price as a whole meal.

Good location, across the street from the water, especially for families with kids. The hotel itself is in need of TLC. It’s looking a little grungy and sad. I stayed here 6 nights with a group for work. While the beds were comfortable, it was frustrating that housekeeping never came, even after multiple requests to the front desk. Based on what we heard this past week, it seems like Wyndham would be wise to take better care of their employees. In turn, the staff here might be more enthusiastic to provide better service to their guests. My advice, stay elsewhere unless you happen to get a great deal on a room, or are only staying one night.

If this review is helpful, please make sure you give it a thumbs up 👍👍👍. Extremely friendly staff. Excellent customer service. The room was very dark. I asked the lady for an additional light. They brought me another lamp up to my room. Housekeeping staff is amazing. Front desk staff superfriendly. However, I was given a room with no view. If you stay in tower one, make sure you ask for room number on the odd side of the floor. That way, you have a view of the bay. One thing you may not like. When the cruise ships push out . They honk the horn, and it's super loud. The shower was nice and hot, and the bed slept okay.

This hotel was very nice. My room was clean and larger than I expected. It’s located right across from the cruise port which is very convenient for travelers and about 10 minutes from the airport. Many restaurants in the area to choose from. The hotel restaurant has a very small breakfast menu. Check out Little Italy; many restaurants to choose from.

A great place in the heart of all the hustle and bustle. Some features are dated and in room amenities are pretty basic. Lots of surrounding places other everything you need within walking distance. Rooms are clean and staff friendly and helpful. Stayed in 3rd building over looking the Bay and Pier. If you are looking to have a more quiet experience choose city side. You can get cruise ship schedule online if you want to be up or in area when they come and go. Great place to stay for a medium price point.

I’ll start off by mentioning that this is not a five star hotel. With that in mind our stay at this hotel was great! The room was clean and the staff was super friendly. When we needed supplies for the room they were delivered quickly. The attached restaurant was convenient and we would definitely stay here again. Would recommended walking through Little Italy during your stay!

My partner and I stayed here for my first vacation and it was great, the convenient location across the street from the piers and San Diego bay allowed us to do so much. With the Coronado ferry service in the front and the Santa Fe train depot in the back, we were able to do more than we planned. Our flight home was cancelled and we were able to book another room in the same day with ease. The only complaint we have is the bedding could have been a bit cleaner.

Great customer service is such an understatement. Ernest was such a kind and genuine person. From the moment we stepped on the shuttle he was very welcoming and provided us with some great recommendations. I traveled with my 2 yr old son alone and he was extremely helpful. The hotel is on the older side but in a great location.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the location was fantastic. I was under the impression that I would be able to do laundry at the hotel based on the amenities listed, but the only way to do laundry was to send it off to a third party laundry service. Not a big deal at all, but it was one of the reasons we booked this hotel over others. Only thing I have to knock them on is that the outside city noise was really loud in the room, especially at night, which there is only so much the hotel can do about sirens blaring at 12:30am. Airport shuttle was a great thing to have, and they even picked us up at almost midnight after I called. Fantastic service from the staff there.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. I had a nice room with a great view of the bay. The bed was comfortable also. I deducted 1 star because the noise from outside (I think it was the backup alarms from the truck's making deliveries to the two restaurants near the hotel) waking me very early in the mornings.

This was the second time I’ve stayed there and no improvement from the first time. Fantastic location from cruise ship terminal. We weren’t told that they only do house keeping every three days. The first time the same thing happened but we just assumed it was because of Covid. This last time just recently the same think happened. They ask you to reuse your towel, but there is no place to hang them as there were three of us and one hook. Large bathrooms so there was no excuse. Had to ask for more towels and coffee. The beds need upgrading also very uncomfortable. When your on vacation you like to be pampered a little bit like not having to make up your own beds etc. Like I said great location nice size rooms but would expect a little service for the money you pay or at least be told when you check in.

The shuttle from the airport was super convenient. We got to check in a little early so our daughter could take a nap, and the customer service and first impression exceeded our expectation! Very impressed

It's a nice hotel, although the toilet paper is the absolute cheapest, thin, painful stuff you can possibly find. It's not even perforated, so you can't even tear it off cleanly. The manager has really scraped the bottom of the barrel in an attempt to cut costs there. Also, the beds are mildly uncomfortable, and the pillows are terrible. Otherwise, the location is perfect, and usually the prices for the rooms are very fair. Close to the airport, a great taco stand, a few restaurants and a couple bars. Shuttle to and from the airport is super convenient.

We stayed here for two nights on our arrival in San Diego and one night when we were departing. The rooms of two double beds 🛏️🛏️ were clean, airy and had a comfortable space. Our initial stay was successful so we came back. The location is excellent across from Pier B with restaurants and Navy ships and exhibits nearby. Parking was $35 so we returned our rental car 🚗 early and used the hotel shuttle for our departure 🛫.

First, I would like to say we (initially) had a lovely stay. Great location and accommodations. We thought it was a reasonable price. Very close to the cruise terminal. Unfortunately, the management is unscrupulous and charged us a "no-show" fee of $308 because they messed up our reservation. They had my name wrong and when we went to check in, they gave us a different room then we were originally assigned. We didn't realize they didn't fix anything in their system... So even though we stayed 2 nights, we had a no-show for the second day. Very expensive lesson 😞 If you choose to stay here make sure that they haven't mistyped your name, it can cost you HUNDREDS of dollars and they refuse to make it right.

Great customer service! We mentioned we were on our honeymoon and going on a cruise and they upgraded us to a bayside view to see our ship from the balcony. Amenities offered are great. Everything is clean and tidy. The hotel is within Walking distance of so many amazing restaurants and spectacular port views. Check in through check out experience was great. 10/10 definitely coming back!

Parking situation is rough. Spaces can be hard to find and when you do they are tight. It's a little ridiculous that they charge $39/night to park your car when you might not even get a spot. That's my only issue. The location is great. We walked to downtown/Gaslamp in 20 minutes, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink within a shorter walking distance. Employees were friendly. The room is small but we were hardly there, the balcony was nice to have as we were out there often. There was a mini fridge in our room. The premises is pet friendly with a grassy area and waste bags.

The place looks nice, easy check in service and parking situation. The room was not as clean though to match the exterior and interior. Carpets just needed swept really well (pill, finger, nails, chips on our carpet). Other then that the place was great, lots of food options right at the Lobby exit, and nice views of the city and bay.

San Diego on Harbor Drive—-location, location, location. We had a bay view room looked out over the bay at a pair of aircraft carriers, saw a few other Navy ships, some old school fighter planes flying in formation, ospreys, lots of helicopters, and of course the Midway was within a short walk. Everything about this location was perfect, close to numerous dining options, great people watching too. Pool is heated which is a plus given the winds off the bay. Rooms are nothing special & staff is hit or miss some exceptional some less helpful than Motel 6. Parking $30/night with very tight stalls in their ramp. Couple steak house attached. Not far from San Diego airport but you don’t really notice it. If we come back I’d stay here again…. Great view of the bay, San Diego is visiting driver friendly…

I booked into a king size bed Ocean view room, it on the 10th floor 1absolutely fabulous views. Plus excellent service! I love the location and if it was a little warmer I would’ve enjoyed the pool as well. I stayed 2 nights and extend it one more night, they honored of the original price.

Great stay and a great location! Mostly clean rooms and felt super safe. The view from our balcony was great! Location is amazing with access to the Port of San Diego area and walkable to a lot of stuff! Only downsides are the cost to part per night and the non heated pool. Otherwise, totally recommend!

Overall, this hotel is decent. The A/C worked fine. The hotel is very dated and desperately needs to be renovated. The hallways smells like mildew and mold. There is plenty of parking if you go to the roof, which the ramp leading up to the roof is very very small for two way traffic. It’s an accident waiting to happen. The $50 fee a night for incidentals is stupid. Why can’t they just charge you for things after you leave instead of holding your money hostage? I know all hotels do this, I just don’t see the point. The Claim Jumper restaurant was really good. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The bayside view was okay. It is very very noisy. I would not stay here again though.

It is an old hotel. The location and the views and gift shop staff are spectacular. I didn't like that some of the staff acted super friendly but they were trying to timeshares. The service was very good but the rooms were dirty. The beds headboard had oily head prints left on it. The balcony's windows/door needed to be cleaned with microfiber and isopropyl alcohol not Terry clothes and whatever cleaning agent. The shower had a hair in it. I asked them to clean it they came up and cleaned it.

I was only there for a quick overnight before I flew out the next morning. I found the hotel to be fantastic! It is in a perfect location. I had a room facing away from the bay and loved it. Very picturesque seeing all of the other buildings even without seeing the harbor. The room was very large and very clean and even had a balcony with a table and chairs.
