This is a very old property. It generally seemed clean with the exception of the pool, but the hotel really needs refurbishment. The lifts didn’t work, and it seemed they hadn’t been working for some time. More seriously, it seems we got bit by bed bugs while staying here. Location is very convenient near the highway and restaurants. Breakfast was okay, but the breakfast area much too small. Overall, the hotel is expensive for what you get.

We stayed here for a family vacation, June 2023. The stay was wonderful. Highly recommend. We had an early flight into San Diego - 7am. We called around 11:30am and they checked us in early and we were all able to nap. Which was SO appreciated. Breakfast was great and easy to get food and sit - VERY convenient with 4 kids. And THEN we forgot clothes AND a Nintendo Switch and they mailed everything back to us! Such a wonderful place to stay! Breakfast, room, and especially the service are all reasons to stay here.

Location was good as there was a cool bar within walking distance and some restaurants on the same street as well. A little bit of a homeless problem around the area so if your bringing kids i would recommend another location. However, im happy with the value of the price i paid for this hotel.

I stayed her 2x this year for business meetings nearby. Easy to get to SD proper without the extra hassle of traffic. However it’s an aging facility with a questionable elevator. Power went out a week ago and while it was restored over night the stairs would be my first pick. Fitness center has a couple cardio machines which helped with my daily runs . While I ran around the area last trip I don’t recommend since there are some sketchy areas. Downtown Chula Vista is a cool little area though…so kind of a mixed bag. Nice hotel staff too.

The service was excellent. Although the rooms are extremely dated, and the beds are super uncomfortable! I did a lot of tossing and turning throughout the night. Unless you are staying for more than a week, there will be no bed service to clean the room. Luckily we only stayed one night. You are able to control the air conditioning from the room with the old school window unit, which is a plus, and it gets super cold!

My family and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago, and I am writing this review because a close friend of mine had a similar if not worse experience. I personally stay at this hotel every once in awhile because my work is right down the street at the ship yards, one morning I was approached by management while I eating my breakfast before going to work and was told I was homeless and that I needed to leave. They even took my bicycle and put it next to the dumpster near the liquor store. I've spent thousands, only to be told I'm one of those people. I'm never coming back unless you change.

Nice room, nice jakuzzi and the city is close. The breakfast... small place, long waiting, not enough food, disgusting eggs and turkey sausage, not enough personal. They cleaning the rooms only every 5 days!! Of course we made a claim because this and the main reception lady told us that this 1 time Cleaning every 5 day it's the NEW NORMAL! 😱😱😱this is a lie and the bigger nonsense that heard in my life, and how you can tell this to a client??? At the end after a lot of fighting they cleaned our room...

When I travel to the Chula Vista area I always stay at this location and my experience is consistently five star. Although its not one of the newer Holiday Inn properties, the facility is well maintained, and rooms are super clean. But the #1 reason for the five star rating is the customer service. The entire hotel team goes above and beyond to accomodate me. Housekeeping staff are so nice, and the front desk clerks are smiling, pleasant, friendly, professional, and efficient. I look forward to my next stay at this property, Highly Recommended!

The rooms are above average, clean and pleasant smelling. Check in was a breeze. Free breakfast was okay. The food area was pleasantly well stocked and clean. The location is not good. You can easily miss the entrance if you aren't diligent. Plus it is across the street from a school.

Great location easy access to the freeway and many local stores are easy to get in and out of. Very friendly staff and very accommodating. Excellent rooms and a workout room on the fourth floor with easy access to ice and water.

My room was on the second floor. Getting off the elevator there was a guy laying on the floor. He was doing sit-ups with his feet under the furniture. He wouldn't move so we had to step over him. Come to find out he is an employee. Using our walkway as a fitness center. Changed our 4 night stay into a one night.

Room was clean, beds are comfortable, staff was really nice and attentive. But the elevator is super slow which was annoying and it's in the hood so think about it before you book.

The hotel is very nice and cozy, the check in was fast, some furniture is a little banged up, thats why I am giving it 4 starts. Breakfast is standard but good. A nice practical hotel for your journey. Would go back here.

Everyone has been courteous. Their breakfast was surprisingly great. My room was very clean. Only peeve: no plug on my bedside for C-Pap.

Surprisingly clean and comfortable inside the hotel considering the location. Near the E street trolley is kind of scary and there are a lot of transients and unruly people in the area during the evening. Loved the room though, service was nice and it was very clean inside.

This is my go-to hotel when going into and back from Tijuana. Its not spectacular, but its solid, in a quiet environment (you can even sleep with open window in the backside!) and plenty of food options around the corner. Also the supermarket close by is good!

This was a great hotel for me and my family of 5. Check in was quick, service is excellent, breakfast was standard but delicious and everything we needed! The rooms are clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the abthrooms were clean. I usually get creeped out by smells and textures but i had no reservations about staying here. The rooms and furnishings are slightly dated but everything is very clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean and the water was heated. We were all very happy.

Like I always say" dont judge the book by its cover" people very friendly working there. Close location for everything which is a plus for us. Def will rebook again but this time with the kids. Rooms were clean and organized. Only negative thing about our stay is the elevator is a bit slow to go up or down and card reader had a few issues but it got resolved. Thanks to Victor and his people. Thank you and see you next time.

I'm giving 5 stars, although my real rating would be more like 4.6. The front desk lady was awesome at check in (the guy in the morning was great too), my only complaint really is they need some USB ports in the rooms, whether in some new lamps, or in the table/desk/etc. I didn't try the breakfast, but it looked good anyway. Seemed to be about the nicest hotel in the (somewhat sketchy) area. Convenient to the train though
