If I had a change I would give 0 stars. Foods are not fresh . They brought me 2 times , different food than I ordered. No taste awful place. Never ever again

I placed my order in person, unfortunately I noticed how the curly hair lady (was helping in the kitchen) w/her trendy, long nails was cutting the avocado without gloves. I could see how she tried hard to avoid they got dirty. Unsanitary, disgusting

Honestly, very tasty food, as always. I recommend the California Bowl/Burrito, as it's what we always get. Also, two tips: 1) Get the app, you get some good discounts like $5.00 off every once in a while. Always "check in" when you purchase. 2) Always ask for the receipt. They have a promotion that gives you a free regular fountain soda or a free dessert if you do a 2-minute survey online. Literally saves you $2-$3 every visit, and it helps them out as well.

Fish tacos were great. Please improve the chips- tasted store bought and churro was too dry.

Well,10 years later, I've ventured. The burrito mixins are perfectly balanced. Just enough bacon to desire more but enough for flavor. And the chipotle cream inside is flavorful. Great visit today, I order three " Two taco plates" consistent of one Mahi and one gourmet shrimp 🦐 with pinto beans and chips. Chips and beans were tasty but not hot enough for my expectations. However tacos were delicious. Cashier was attentive and receptive to my special request. It was nice to see the lobby open at 100% again. However; line cooks should restrain their hair in order to prevent a foreign object contamination. But over all it was a great lunch that my family and my self enjoyed. I do recommend this eatery.

Worst food and service go to PB location instead!!! No water cup offered. Given smaller sour cream cup. Said only ONE sizeMuch less shrimp count.... then when I asked Ricardo if I could pay and get a larger side of sour cream . He said sure $2.15.

I usually prefer family or locally owned restaurants compared to chains but I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Fresh ingredients, good portions and a lot of flavor. The restaurant is bright and cheerful and the staff was very friendly.

The food was good but everytime I have walked into this establishment the same young lady (dark hair) blue jacket never washes her hands after playing in her hair now there is another young lady maybe management she has high lights running her hands thru her hair b4 serving the guests. I will not be returning back. It is different than it use to be back in the days where cleanliness is the key now businesses are hiring anyone and that is not ok. There use to be a sign where you has to wash your hands after every guests. Please make sure to read this and make changes

I ordered beer battered shrimp tacos, the pico de gallo on them was old and smelly. So was the onion on their salsa bar, old and smelly. I can't understand how they serve that, it stinks. That and my tortilla chips were stale and chewy.

First time ever trying Rubio's. Good for a quick bite. The employees were so helpful especially Eduardo at the cash register. They are located at the Chula Vista mall. Great spot. I ordered the chicken taco plate and my child had the kids quesadilla combo. The atmosphere was nice and they offer inside and outside dining. I spent about $23 in total 👍

First time here, ever today. I ordered, and Sat down with my to go order placed. I waited, and waited, and nothing. Almost no one there, and not one employee noticed me sitting there without my food. They obviously gave it to the two ladies ahead of me that were long gone. I went to the till and the guy has the nerve to say, " you didn't get it??". Seriously?? I'll never, ever, ever try rubios, as I'm new to town and will never go back. Just finished telling my entire class and I'll tell everyone who will listen. Made me feel completely insignificant. Terrible.

While the food and service was excellent, (now I’m not sure if the person working today was new or something) the fact I got overcharged for ordering 2 chicken tacos on TACO TUESDAY of all days is quite disappointing to say at the least. If you’re not going to properly advertise said Taco Tuesday for any other selections other than the main Fish taco, then don’t even bother advertising any other options if you’re just going to stab your customers (in this case,myself) in the back and not telling said customers if they have a deal on certain products on a certain day by overcharging them on a certain day where tacos are mostly being sold at a cheap price on any given Tuesday. Overall, the pricing for todays transaction seemed skeptical and was definitely not worth it.

Typical Rubios Mexican fare. I think the prices are higher than they need to be, hence one less star, especially when you can go to the Robertos across the street and get basically the same item for half the price. I would've gone there that day but gf needed to use the restroom so we only went to Rubios to pee.... haha.

Pretty laid back place on the outside of the Chula Vista mall. Over all the service was good and the food was great if you are into Mexican style sea food.

Love the food here. The bowls, burritos, and salad options are my favorite (almost all of them). The food is always delicious and the right temperature. Also, I like that they have spicy sauces that are actually spicy! The staff members provide a great customer service experience, which makes it easier to want to come back to this restaurant. We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

We had lunch and I ordered the surf and turf. The lobster taco was good. The steak was better. (In my opinion) my friend chicken taco looked like a dollar taco plus the shell was hard, but the manager with no complaining brought out her a new one. Just wish the restaurant would add more chicken to make it worth the money. I would've easily given it all five stars but you can't skimp on the food. Restaurant who start cutting back lose customers then sooner or later they are out of business. At least the manager has concerns maybe he'll fix the food quantity problem. Great managers keep food restaurants in business.

I asked for a mild caught boel and glavor was good but I was disappointed of the minimum portion of shrimp. I wont ask for it again. Lots of rice and veggies for only 7 little shrimps

Ordered through uber eats and had to wait 10 minutes after it said order was ready. So this whole process took over 40 minutes. 40 minutes for fast food. The teenage girl at the front was rude and unhelpful. Wont be coming back

They are so stingy with their food. Our bill for two plates came out to $30. My two shrimp tacos has 4 tiny shrimps in each and a tiny cup of beans on the side. Not worth the price, at all. Definitely will never go back there. Avoid this high priced low quality small portioned food
