My wife and visited this restaurant for breakfast . I ordered birria and she ordered menudo. Both were excellent. We liked it a lot. Also ordered corn quesadillas with hand made fresh tortillas and a generous amount of cheese A+. We will be back when in the area. Highly recommended

My son and I each ordered the Tatemada and we certainly were not disappointed one bit. To dip our hand-made tortillas stuffed with the seared goat meat, onions and cilantro into the broth was mouth-watering. We also ordered the Michelada beverages (Modelo beer, ice, lime and Tajin) to complement the meals. It's dog-friendly, as we sat outside with my son's pride and joy, Bishop, during the tasty lunch. Comfort food and great service - how can you beat that?!

I was looking for the best birria in San Diego but I'm not sure this place is it. Service was great and food came out quick so that was surprising given how busy it was. I ordered birria de chivo (maciza) which was good but I was kinda hoping for more given the ratings this place has. The quesadilla with birria was loaded with meat but was very oily and soggy as soon as it came out. Cafe de Olla was extremely sweet. Salsas weren't spicy. Guacamole wasn't that great either. Spent +$80 for 3 and left a bit dissapointed.

This place is amazing. The tacos are delicious but the star is the pozole!!! One of the best bowls of good I've ever had. The tortillas are the perfect companion, absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop in. The service is perfect, it feels like they've known you forever and make sure you have everything you need.

The carnitas and buche plate is my favorite. The corn tortillas are made there and are delicious. Also cafe de olla yummy. One of my favorite places also for birria.

This place is fantastic, great food and probably some of the best service I have ever had. This is coming from someone who had over 15 years in the service industry and ask for Jorge, top-notch service plus.

The food was nasty and extremely over salted. I could not eat it. I advised the waiter and host that it was NOT what i ordered but that it was disgusting and I left. I was not going to pay $12 for garbage. Did you all notice the very small bowls they use for the soup? Not even in Mexico do they use bowls that shallow. Its a rip off! Google Caldo de Birria and see what you get. This Restaurant is not cooking OR preparing the Birria correctly. The color, spice and flavor is lacking. I took two small spoon sample of the garbage they tried to sell me and it had a pound of salt and no spices or flavor. They pretty much tried to sell me what's left at the very bottom of the pot. And, to top it off their Host was very rude. He is a small Mexican guy, straight hair, maybe wearing glasses, about 24 years of age. I went to the store across the street to shop and while I was there I mentioned my experience at this Restaurant. The cashier said that their food is over priced and not authentic and has no flavor.

Great customer service, but the food is super bland. I can’t see how this place is rated so highly. We personally found the food super bland, lacking seasoning or spice of any kind. Additionally, it was not cheap at all.

A co-worker recommended this Birrieria and it is the real deal. The goat meat was very well prepared and fell apart easily, and the consomme was delicious. The portions are pretty generous so don't think twice about splitting orders. Service was friendly and took care of us well. Highly recommended!

Poor customer service, no welcoming and their forlorn energy is spread out. $5.00 for this poorly served “taco” is overwhelming.

Amazing stewed goat tacos!!! The red hot sauce has a bite to it! The homemade Horchata is really good and I don’t normally like it. Fresh cilantro, onion and lime brought to your table. Would definitely come back.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and really glad I did. We ordered 2 Quesataco De Res, 2 Quesataco De Chivo, 1 beef Consome and a small bowl of Pozole Rojo. $33 total Very filling and flavorful comfort food on a cold day. We will definitely add this one to our favorites list. They are open from 8 am - 4 pm.

Food was great! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and birria, tot’s is the place to go! I have a quesadilla, taco with goat and pork rinds, and a quesobirria taco. It was such good meat, the tortillas were all made by hand and the broth in the taco was tasty. None of the dishes were spice, but we’re very flavorful! Highly recommend!!! Only reason that I took off a star was because parking was packed and difficult to find a free spot. We went on a Saturday morning.

Everything so good, made from scratch. How authentic Mexican should be. Pictured is the menudo with homemade corn tortillas. 😋

I was trying to decide what to order. I was attracted to all the dishes on other's tables! Sooo good! The 1/2 order was even too much!

This place never disappoints. When we are near here this is our go to place. Tacos are on point. Birria and lengua. But let me rave about the service from Martin. I always feel like he is the owner of this place due to his service. Goes above and beyond. Then I watched a young server Javier be so attentive and kind to this customer. Highly recommend

We are from Kansas City and decided to get this place as it came recommended. I had the adventure of my life when I ordered the 3 fuegos Chivo birria, I had so much fun devouring this plate. It was literally fire 🔥 10/10 recommend. I cooled down with their great Clamato michelada that was delicious. The tortillas were phenomenal but nothing close to how great the staff were with there customer service! I will be back for more !!!

Me wife and I bought a house and moved to the Chula Vista area and have been wanting to explore some of the local eateries. My wife's client mentioned this spot a while back and said it's a "must eat" place!. We had some time to kill one morning and we're not disappointed. You get a sense from the people working there, as well as the patrons, that it's well established and they have a good reputation and foothold in the Chula Vista area. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu!

Fantastic birria! First time trying goat birria instead of beef (they serve both), and it was delicious. Fast, friendly service too.
