Great mariscos and meat options. Seriously get the octopus tostada. It’s life changing. The octopus and the sauce is perfect. They serve the mariscos with a mix of saltines and tostadas. Their hot sauce collection is also top notch!

Very disappointing service and quality. I went in person around 11am to order ahead for lunch at 12pm, I paid ahead and was told my order would be ready at the scheduled time. When I arrived at noon they didn't have my order ready and I had to wait about 15 minutes until everyone in front of me was served although I had ordered and paid ahead. I was told they didn't want to make them ahead of time so it wasn't cold by the time I picked it up, which basically made ordering ahead useless. I would not have minded the 15 minute wait any other day, but since I only have a 30 min lunch, it's half of my lunchtime. Quality was also very disappointing, I work across the street and by the time I got to my workplace to eat, the tortillas were cold and stiff 😭 If that wasn't enough they charge 8.75% tax when the tax rate here is 7.75%. Their prices are also advertised lower than what they actually charge. Their flyer shows $2.29 per taco, but I was charged $2.75 plus an undisclosed credit card fee.

Fish taco tasted good, but the portion was a joke . Nothing like their photos from other trucks . Supposedly they're promoting buy 1 get 1 because of the new location . What it appears, is they take the ingredients from one normal taco and divide it between 2 tacos . Won't be back . Feel ripped off .

Mexican Seafood is the best addiction anyone could have and Meriscos El Prieto is the cure! The seafood that is served is very fresh and is authentic as could be. Second, this place is a couple of blocks away from where I live so very convenient to visit. Lastly, the price is very average for seafood but I would pay more because it's delicious.

I've been coming here for years! One of the best mariscos lunch truck around. I ordered a pulpo taco this time but usually get my favorite Gobernador taco. The puplo was good, but it was suppose to be spicy enchilado. Can't go wrong with fish tacos though. Definitely recommend!

I'm on a diet. But we're in from out of town and I broke it as soon as my sister brought me here. It's so good, we came for dinner yesterday and breakfast today. We got birra tacos, Carne asada tacos, fish tacos and seveche to go. When I tell you the best tortillas ever, just try it and let me know what you think. The salsas had such good heat and flavor. But I do have to share my absolute favorite: the huge pot of fish soup juice in the back. We may have had 3 cups per person. The flavors we're spot on, and with a slash of lime. It was unlike anything on the menu. We will 100% come to the place. Omg so good. 😍

Great tasting tacos!! We came here and found 2 food trucks one served seafood and the other tacos. Loved the quesabirrias. Had different kind of tacos, we ordered cabeza, tripas, trips, asada, lengua, birria they were all served on large tortillas and were very filling. Will be returning for more soon!!

Nice little food truck with seafood Mexican food. I tired the surf and turf burrito and it was delicious. These burritos run for 13.99 and a bit smaller but they are packed with seafood, onions and meat. My burrito didnt have beans or rice, so it’s not stuffed. They may actually feel quite small in comparison to the other burritos in SD but again they don’t have all that extra filling. I kinda wished they had more picante salsa. But overall, it was a great experience. I’d recommend for anyone who wants seafood Mexican food

One of my favorite "carreta" (food truck) places. I've tried several things from their menu and liked them all. It did become a little pricey after Covid but what didn't? It's still worth it. Do recommend! 👍

Great tacos with decent prices, the fish and shrimp tacos are all very fresh and taste awesome! the only things that can improve is better seating or normal tables, instead of the high stand small square tables and more options on their beverages. other than that you leave with a full stomach ready to take on the world.

Not impressed. They put WAY too much ingredients in each taco and the tiny cardboard boats they put the tacos in were so small, that you had to try very hard not to drop all of the ingredients all over the table. The food was cooked properly and they had a nice char on the shrimp and beef, but there was no seasoning or special flavor. Tasted completely basic. I don't know why people say this place is so special. I've had better Mariscos many times. You can eat better seafood in Otay at Chewin's for a 3rd of the price. The prices here are very expensive.

Food is ok but it is way to overpriced tacos were 9 dollars each and clamato was 22.50. Gave them the benefit of the doubt but definetely not worth those prices.

Many food trucks in Chula Vista but they are always my only choice for fish tacos. Good food, good service, clean area. Parking may be limited but they have a guy who directs traffic and helps with traffic. Grilled shrimp burrito is a must. Many other choices.

Fire!!! The fish tacos need some love and the Gobernador taco is a little salty. But for everything else it is amazing. Super friendly staff. Good food.

Great place to eat!! Very tasty seafood made with love. A bit on the the pricey side. More expensive than nice seafood restaurants in the area without the big rents.

Great place to pick up food and go. Not many tables to stand and eat. You chose from a seafood or taco truck. Good variety or food.

Food is pretty good, but gets super crowded. Priced are a bit high for a lunch truck type food
