What’s the point of business hours is they can’t even open on time? It’s just irresponsible business practice to have people waiting when doors should be open at a posted time.. now officially 45 mins passed the posted opening time. Some people have responsibilities to tend to at an early time and depend on those early openings.. with that said this is a real inconvenience considering I was depending on the 7am open and now my schedule is screwed up. Probably won’t get my workout now and I will be thinking of canceling my membership. Note worthy about 7 to 8 member waiting since 7am left angry having to wait.. she finally arrived at around 755am, almost an hour of the posted opening.the opener also had an attitude upon arrival even though she was the one inconveniencing the paying members that were patient enough to wait for her. If this continues I can guarantee you will lose member and get more bad google reviews.

The staff is great and gym clean. Unfortunately, it's disgusting outside with lots of homeless and it's not a good club for Caucasian people. I receive a lot of mean looks and do not feel very comfortable there. It is no secret Chula Vista discriminates against white people. I will be wrapping up my membership with this club because of this reason.

I've been going to this gym for about a month now. At around 11:15 today, 5/04/2022, I was working out at the gym. There was another gym member who started cursing and threatening people in the gym where everyone could hear. He did this for 15 minutes and did not stop. I asked the front desk to remove the person. They said there was nothing they could do, so I left. My safety is not guaranteed at this gym and made me feel uncomfortable.

I recently purchased a black card membership for this gym chain so that my spouse and I could workout together before work. We prefer to go at 5am. The club closest to us is a convenient 5 minute drive away. However, For the last 3 days in a row now the club is not opened at said time. There is a line of folks out front waiting for someone to open the club. We have waited 30 - 45 minutes at a time for the club to open only to leave to rush to the next nearest which is 15 minutes away or to just go home as it becomes too late to even bother going due to work time constraint. Is the staffing level that bad at this location? And / Or is the person that is supposed to open the club not getting up on time and late regularly? In any case there should be at least two key openers assigned to the opening shift to avoid inconveniences like this. I know we’re not the only ones that fee this way as we have witnessed fellow 5 AM’ers leave irritated, voice their irritation verbally, and talks of cancelling membership all together. Yes i have a black card so i can go to any location but what about those who have the $10 home club membership and cannot go elsewhere. I haven’t even had this membership for a month now and we’re already contemplating cancelling and going with Chuze as they are closer and are always open on time. I come to this gym every other day early in the morning and there is either no one at the front desk or there's the same bad customer service girl waiting to only scan your card but not really say anything. I have also noticed that people seem to already know the routine if arriving and no one is at the front desk they just scan the card themselves and let themselves in. All of the staff that I have came across early in the morning (4/5am) never say hi and always just look away. This gym is the closest to my home but I still choose to drive a little further to another gym that has a lot better customer service.

Can someone tell me any reason why that stripmall owner has not fixed that parking lot? Its so destroyed with potholes its like youre driving in a 3rd world country...and its only the gym parking thats destroyed, it about ready to start hitting sewage lines, i guess thats what theyre waiting for. Fyi if your car has a lowered profile dont even try it.

I like they have hydromassage. is a big gym. but way too many treadmills and ellipticals no one uses. only a few stairmasters and they usually full or broken. the weight area is too small compared to all the empty cardio stuff. very poorly planned gym. no bench presses etc.

For starters, the gym should open at 4:00 or at the very latest 4:30 a.m. . That's when the regulars start lining up once the gym opens, there is a rush to the Smith machine and over to the lighter weight dumbbells. I've complained to the staff about people using two and three pairs of dumbbells to set up their own little fitness areas. Basically, hoarding the lighter dumbbells. It's just the constant situation is like these that are forcing me to join a different gym altogether, like CHUZE. They have a broader selection of dumbbells and a larger facility.

I quit my member ship 2 years ago after months and months of asking if the hot water in the showers was ever going to be fixed. I got all kinds of different answers, but mostly people saying oh yeah “people are complaining but you’ll have to call or come when a manager is here”. Which I did, and got all versions of answers that they were working on it, that it would be reported, etc. Sometimes they would go in the boiler room and bang around and it would make it a little hotter but it would get cold, most of the time, pretty quickly. I hated to have to quit and join another club over just this reason Because it’s really a great gym franchise. I have been to them all over Arizona and they all have hot water. I went back to check out the showers on two occasions, recently, hoping it was better now so I could re- join. And neither time did they have hot water consistently. One time there was a 15 second burst of hot water but it became luke warm quickly, and shortly started gettting cold . The other time it was between lukewarm and cold. Never hot. Closer to cold. It was always the same kind of deal for the last couple years I was a member. I’m very surprised more people haven’t complained here, but I guess most people just go home and shower. Or figure that the membership price is very fair so they deal with it being cold. It's unfair that this isn't disclosed when people join, especially because of the startup fees that are paid.

Spacious, clean, many machines. The gal with whom I signed in for membership was kind of dismissive (I'm elderly, and not Hispanic). Also? Where's the clock? I kinda like to check my times. The only clock I saw on the wall registered some time in an alternate universe, and never changed. The inescapable music they play is nice and LOUD, and all in Spanish. Could be a more inclusive club, as to demographics.

Who is responsible for maintaining the parking lot pavement? The property manager? The City of Chula Vista? I add a year of wear & tear on my tires every time I drive through this lot. The potholes are destructive on vehicles and unsafe for pedestrians. It adds to the already unkempt part of Broadway. Let’s get it repaired…. PLEASE.

First time at this planet fitness and first one to go in at opening. Bathroom floors dirty and not all equipment working properly. Several machines missing cut holders like ellipticals, etc. Disappointed. Response from location was to contact the Manager. If the Manager hasn't notice the multiple machines missing cup holders and equipment malfunction or bathrooms dirty when it first open the doors perhaps he/she might need to spend more time checking the facility and ensure staff is doing what they are supposed to.

Okay ya. Pretty GOOD Gym, as ALL of Planet fitness gyms are. Came to California to work. Joined this Gym in Chula Vista. Had a blast. The ONLY reason I'm giving three stars is because when I left the State, I tried to cancel my contract and I experienced pure turbulence. Oh, they put me on hold, never came back to phone. Never let me speak to manager, or left the phone on busy. It was insane, and a huge fight. If you wish to cansel from this Gym, better come in the actual office. I followed ALL the procedures in the Contract under section 9 cancelation procedures to no prevail. Then finally today JUNE 2, 2022 I called 6a.m California time, Mr Mario SAVED the day and came to my rescue. He finally did what no one else in the whole gym would do. He canceled my membership, right before I was going to go to the regional manager in San Diego. WAY to Go Mario!!

I count ~58 treadmills and 4 stair climbers, 2 of which are broken. Overall nice place but 58 and 2 cannot be the right ratio. They do have red light therapy machines which I appreciate and none of the locations in Orlando (where I live) have, at least that I've seen.

The showera are always coldb and I go at around 3am. The restrooms are always dirty. The staff is just standing around talking with to other at the front desk.

Really like this facility. I went early In the morning so it wasn't crowded. Clean, plenty of machines and equipment to go around, and facility is well stocked with materials to sanitize everything. Inquired on personal training with Isaiah W., one of the trainers. He was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and gave me some great information. A few of the machines need repair, but overall, this will be my go-to facility.

I wants to say Thank you today I dropped my Earbuds while I was on stairs master and it fall down inside of machine and manager came and did his best to take it off and I am so thankful to see those kind of employee which they even do higher than their responsibility to help out us.

Overall, staff are friendly, facility are typically kept clean. Con- they don’t provide hand sanitizer or toilet seat covers. They run out of paper towels at times. Toilet stalls tends to stay dirty but they do clean I believe every hour.

Get ready to wait long lines to get in. Because all the equipment it's indoors. (All the other gym's offer some outdoor activity) over charges without notice or emails or text. Poor customer service. I was paying the basic membership it was 10 dlls. and now without notice they are charging me 40 dlls for the premium membership. And take a ride on there street porta potty. On a 90 degree weather.

This is my "filler" gym... When I don't go to LA Fitness with my sister (she can bring in guests), I come here so that I don't miss my workouts... There's usually plenty of machines, albeit, it's usually very packed in the afternoon through late night. Probably due to the nice low membership costs... They have enough machines and free weights to get a workout in, but it's not designed for mega-uber bodybuilders. They just don't have enough weights for heavy lifters.

Worse one I’ve been to. First of all the parking lot is like going to a third world country. The pot holes are ridiculous. Went there first with my big truck and it was bumpy then today with my small car, thought I was going to get damaged to it and i almost tripped on uneven pavement then when I got close it was misting and you can smell the urine on the sidewalk and it looked filthy! Get inside and it looked ok but the bathroom was a miss and even if they did picked up the paper you can tell the stall has not had a good wipe down in a long time. There was someone sweeping when I finally left. I would have to be totally desperate to workout at that place again. I’ve only been to two other locations lakeside and Eastlake and they were fine.

Honestly this is one of the worst gyms I been to due to the fact that there is no structure or discipline with staff In charged of the gym also not to mention that there is a bunch of little kids that go there to talk and horse play there for interfering with the members that actually take the gym life serious…. hygiene wise it’s a mess I do hope that staff step it up and make this a better environment

No Planet Fitness will get a good review bc I still haven't gotten an answer. $25.05×12=$300.60 for a membership. That's a lot but OK. What I want to know how exactly an extra payment of $39 annually on top of my membership keeps my account running smoothly without unnecessary paperwork? It definitely doesn't cover if dues are late bc planet fitness charges and additional fee for that also. For a company with a $587m+ revenue. It feels like PF is taking advantage of people by padding their pockets even more just bc they can. Employees are nice. Even tho I'm willing to bet money they aren't paid a livable wage.

Late late late to open. Going to National city location now. Just to add I’m starting to hate this place no hot showers 🚿 in the morning. Morning staff doesn’t turn on the water heater. Some of the machines down since a week. Shower 🧼 gets flooded.Per owner or management doesn’t really care about keeping the place up. 3 stars for always being clean, I never worked for PF but I am sure they spend a lot of time training staff how to clean and management clearly has a clear grasp on it- thankfully because of the pandemic and it being flu season... they need to address the customer service and POS system... maybe there turn over Is high bc I always see new faces and there seems to be not much training on handling issues with customer accounts bc the desk gets super busy and evey transaction I have at that desk is no less than 5 minutes ... if you want to check in for one of your black cars benefits the associates don’t greet you and it’s just a socially awkward experience if they even notice you standing there... and if you need to buy something plan on spending at least 5 mins to check out... been a member for over 15 years and just something I noticed at each PF across the country

I am having a huge issue with this gym because apparently they have not been scheduling women to work and we have the Men having to come into the Women's locker room whenever there is an issue. They are asking women to go inside the locker to notify the women in there, they will be having a male enter the locker room. What a nightmare!

I am a Planet Fitness Black Card holder from Phoenix. I was not allowed to access the facility. Don't even bother going to this location Planet Fitness location of you are visiting from out of state. They don't honor the Black Card Membership from those out of state

Started coming here in July and the morning person Tingle always making sure the place is clean and welcoming super helpful always smiling . There are plenty of machines to choose from and accommodate your work out. The hydromassage chairs are the best and tanning is so relaxing 😌 to end the visit.

I recently enrolled my mom . This gym was clean they have plenty of machines my mom is very happy with it . A trainer has helped her get familiar with the different machines. Tinkle the front guy has great customer service. If this gym was closer to me I would enroll.

I purchased a membership in Escondido 5 days ago, and I’ve came twice trying to transfer the account. The staff get so mad! I don’t understand why. They don’t care about losing a member at all. They might be all nice until you have a complaint then you see the real them. Planet Fitness employees should be ashamed of themselves! Guess I’ll chuze Chuze Fitness!

The facility is decent, but the only drawback is that you can never get a quat or chest press rack ,because you have those people with no gym Courtesy holding up the machines for hours while other people are waiting

Ridiculous you can't cancel the membership on the app. Almost every app service allows allow membership cancellations online. These people are just sales scammers.

I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it takes weeks if not months for them to fix an equipment. Furthermore, the staff doesn't seem to take care of the cleaning area because when I want to clean the equipment I used there is never disinfectant in the bottles they are always empty .

I absolutely love the location. Very clean and everything is at your disposal. Cardio machines and weight area is awesome. Great additions when you get the black card, such as the tanning and the massage beds.

I have not been to this Planet Fitness but I was a member in Idaho. It's a great deal especially if you live in your car. They have or had a $10 a month plan where you can use the gym and showers all you want to. I love you Planet Fitness!

I've been to multiple planet fitness locations recently and this one is the only one that actually requires and enforces masks, which is great!! I definitely feel safe working out here and appreciate all of their extra safety precautions.
