😠 Literally the dirtiest 24h Fitness I have been to ever. People often mention equipment, location, weights, hours, room, manager, clean, good, machines, workout,

I'm surprised this gym doesn't have better reviews. For starters, this is an Active 24 location. As soon as you enter the free weight room, it seems like the floor is hollow. Lol. Which is kind of odd. The plates to equipment ratio seems to be lagging. And when I wanted to do tricep extensions, on the cables, I couldn't find a straight-flat bar. But there's an abundant amount of equipment, for your training day needs. Now, after having gone to many others (especially the Super Sport in Escondido), I do love many things about this gym. I do like the "zoned" set up. Like there's an area for free weights and there's an area for machine weights. This place has character, which is what I love about it. It's humble. They play rap music overhead. Lol. Good for the motivation. And the fact that you could tell the equipment is a little rusted brings that extra sense of character to the place. This is a "gym," not a "sales pitch." If you know what I mean. It has that "Let's get to work feel." I'll be back.

This is the only 24 Hour Fitness location I have ever been to that has nobody attending the front desk at all times. You'll often have to walk the gym to hunt an employee down and sometimes they are nowhere to be found. Even with the new manager there. I once had to leave an IOU note for some protein I took because I was unable to purchase. I paid the next time I was there. And after that now, when employees disappear they make sure to lock the merchandise rather than at least one of them being present to do their job. Also, you'll often see the same trash in the same location for over a week in that locker room just to show you how clean they are. When the new manager arrived I thought all that might change but it hasn't.

So apparently they are not 24 hour fitness cause they were closed at 11 pm on Sunday! I could sit here for 6 hrs. till 5 am when they reopen, nah, going back home. I ask them via email if they would make an exception of the closure and allow their local senior members( I am one!) who needed a place to take a shower, shave, and change clothes, for 4 hours, once a week, using sterilization, social distancing, etc. I even said that I would donate my time to help staff it ! and it would give them a good showing of community support ! So far no answer! ( going on 2 months with no shower ! (even my dog wont sleep with me !)

It ain't the purrtiest gym but it has everything you'll need. Plenty of free weights and machines. Dumbells go up to 120 lbs. Best part, it's almost empty and quiet, at least in the morning when I go! I seldom have to wait for a machine or bench. I've been to other 24 Fitness gyms and they're always crowded. My only complaint if I have to pick one is they close too early at 9pm.

The staff is professional and friendly, the gym is clean. I think the showers should have stalls or the "cloudy" shower curtains and I think that 24 hour fitness should be open 24 hours....it is called 24 hour fitness. I bet they get that comment a lot. It seems like it is one of the smaller of its gyms. Good place though.

It's always clean. Its always true to the hours. Its never packed. Its easy to sign in. Its easy to sign up. I've never seen anyone utilize the squat rack for chest day. The staff is very helpful and engaged with their regulars. The sauna is never crowded, for women anyways. The fellow gym members are polite and track their weights. I've never had to wait for weights or machines.

This is not a terrible gym. It's not an awesome gym either. It does feel like the stuff is getting old that's in here but everything that I needed to work out was here for a good chest workout. I also did some yoga and some running. I think if the gym had some newer equipment or cleaned up a bit more it would probably get better reviews. Didn't have any issues with management or anything else like I've read here on some of the other reviews on overall I would definitely go back again.

I’ve been a member at this gym for years now. I have to say I’m dissatisfied with the way I am treated as a gym member here. As others have said, there is no effort made by employees to provide a welcoming environment to patrons. In addition, there is not enough effort placed in maintaining clean facilities - men’s restrooms being part of that mention, and also sauna which is not clean up to standards.

It has everything you need to work out . I don’t like how the space is set up but it works. However, quite a few men moan A LOT here. Please men, moan at home not at the gym.

Gym equipment is greasy, the women’s locker room is disgusting, and the whole place smelled foul. I bought a month membership but after 30 minutes of my workout on my first day I’d had enough. I had to harass the staff with in person visits and phone calls to cancel my membership and get a refund. No one really knows what’s going on - someone told me I’d be refunded for the full month minus a few bucks, while the manager told me I’d be refunded $30. In the end, I was only refunded $15. Very irritating!

This gym continues to go downhill...new management not helping things... I recently approached manager at this location to address some issues/concerns about gym and was told by him to wait 20 minutes for he was in the middle of a workout routine and could not at the moment hear my concerns... Hah? I gather management is part of the problem at this gym...

Staff is Very friendly. However the equipment is outdated and broken half the time I go. Firstaid kits are also outdated. I got a Metal splinter in one of my fingers And went to the front desk to get some tweezers and they did not have any. Since this splinter was right in the middle of my pointer finger I had to stop my workout Since I couldn't lift any weights. If This gym didn't have a pool and wasn't so close to my house I Would not get a Membership.

Please get a better AC or bigger and better ceiling fans. Don’t enjoy the fact that the entire building is stuffy and musty. The restrooms could also use an update.

I came to this club because the one on Amena is closed for painting this week. I use the sauna after my work out and sweat even more, I try to use the showers and the water is completely shut off. The Chula Vista location off of Broadway turned the water off and didn’t alert anybody about this. There was no signage alerting us that this would happen. Many women who attempted to shower and even use the restroom were unable to do so. Incredibly unprofessional to not put signs up and let people know that they would be shutting the water off for hours. When asked, the girl in the front said it would be “a couple more hours” I couldn’t even wash my hands, disgusting.

Nice place, not so much weight room though. Disappoints me I even got a membership. Limited plates, small room, limited equipment, plates unorganized. Hopefully the others aren’t like this

It’s NOT open 24 hours. It’s an okay gym, kinda small but you can get the job done during the working hours. Equipment is a little old but better than some places I’ve been.

This gym is trash. 3 day pass on websites rejected. Day pass costs more than most gym's cost per month! And it’s a very low quality 24 hr at that.

Great gym. Nice manager. But the people who works at front desk. No people's skills. Sad but true.

Such a filthy place. On the flip side, there were plenty of equipment available at least on a Saturday early! I am already tired of the 24hr fitness experience at least in San Diego Area

One of my favorite gyms — but cleaning crew (when rarely seen) sits in the bathroom without working — complaining and complaining about cleaning the floor while the guy on the counter? No one wants to listen to you complain bro! Newsflash to your cleaning crew: people are suppose to enter the sauna WITHOUT SHOES, obviously wet from taking a shower. Stop complaining about doing your job, stop sitting on the bathroom counter and maybe work a little? True — members are disrespectful, take it up with the guys making a mess and don’t harass the rest of us. Employees name is Victor, phone out as well while working against policy. GM and assistant manager are very nice.

Convenient location with good amount of cardio machines. Overall it’s an okay gym IF you have a workout plan. Pros: location , Open 24hrs Cons: Outdated layout, smells kinda bad.

  • 2/5 Oli 5 months ago on Google
Pros: Staff is always nice Convenient location All the necessary machines for a good workout Cons: Dirty, have to constantly clean every machine Machines are old af and some half broken Men's restroom smells like piss (not the lockers) Toilets are disgusting and sometimes have to hold my breath to pee

It has good machines, plenty of cardio and most everything is accessible throughout the day. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help or explain.
