So so good! Definitely recommend the shrimp pakora appetizer. We got the lunch special with level 8/10 spicy chicken vindaloo and saag aloo. Staff were very friendly and provided quick service. UPDATE November 2022: Ordered take-out. The curries were not as flavorful as before and on the watery side. My Vindaloo had 3 pieces of chicken and the rest were potato. Also, the curry containers were not filled all the way like they used to. We're very disappointed as this was one of our favorite restaurants.

Is first time we went to try the Himalayan Restaurant & the food was delicious! The dessert was cheap price but the flavor is horrible but idk how to describe it. The employer took little bit longer to serve us but they were friendly.

Amazing flavors!! Had the curry in butter sauce. Tried the garlic naan and plain naan, both were excellent 👌 you can choose your level of spiciness. They have 0-10 and even a 911 level of heat!! We tried the level 3 and level 8 both true to number. Have returned twice since first visit. Great curry!! Vegetarian options available!!

We only eat at authentic ethnic restaurant. And this is as authentic as it gets for Indian and Nepali food. Great customer service, very friendly owner and staff; but most of all GREAT food. The price is not expensive either. So this restaurant gets 5 stars from me. DHAYAVAD!

The food tasted great. They got our order wrong and mixed the spice level but they were nice enough to exchange it.

I loved the selection of their vegetarian curry. It was delicious, and the fragrant spices seemed to dance through the restaurant. I am definitely eating here again.

I believe this is probably my best experience and customer service at any Indian restaurants here in the US. We ordered food and requested a couple of items with the lowest spice level for our kid. Not only did they prepare the food as requested but in addition they included a dal as a side realizing that we had a kid and didn’t charge a single penny. These sort of customer service goes a long way. And on top of that the food was awesome too. Thanks to the folks out there.

What a find. This place is as good as the reviews say. We both chose the Nepali dishes and the flavors were different from Indian food. Garlic naan was also excellent. We really enjoyed our meals.

I love coming here. It's a relatively new place in a very busy area. Not yet discovered by mass crowds it's easy to find a table. The service is wonderful, humble people who want to help you have a positive dining experience without overdoing it. The chicken momo are a must. They have a wonderful lunch special that allows you to try two of their more popular dishes at a reasonable price. A good selection of beer and wine also makes this a wonderful date night spot, especially if you're wanting to expand your flavor experience!

I ordered 2 checken beryani, really low quality, how ever I said a little spicy but they made it very spicy that we could not eat it, definitely don't recommend this one

The atmosphere and service is good. The Paneer Sizzler had too big of Paneer pieces and what felt like - too much of food coloring. The Mix veg curry was also not great.

It is located at the Chula Vista mall. It's in between pokey pokey and Subway. I just wanted to get a quick bite, I got the chicken masala which comes with rice and I got a vegetable samosa (2) which came with a cranberry sauce on the side(I was not too fond of the sauce) and naan. It was not busy at all. The service was great, he was very attentive especially for water refills and very available for any questions that I had. The food was delicious. Normally I would get garlic nan and spicy masala but I was sharing the meal with my child so I did not. I would definitely come here again. Please forgive my pictures as some of them were taken after I ate 😂 in total I spent about less than $30

Very filling and great taste of fresh herbs and spices. I ate from an uber eats order, it would be nicer dine in to get food hotter. The vegetarian dishes are just as good as meat and portions are enough for 2 meals. I can tell it's healthier food because the bowl I used to eat washed easily without a greasy film on the bottom. And this place has more portions of veggies compared to other Indian restaurants that over do it on sauce. It's going to be my go-to Indian food choice. Worth a try and ask for "medium spice", just enough kick before the heat starts getting too overwhelming . Veggie meals will freeze better for weekly meal planning. ORDERED VEGGIE VINDALOO PANEER TIKA MASSALA Veggie Biryani Garlic cilantro naan

A good choice for Indian food in Chula Vista! Don't have to drive too far Parking - Easy since it's in the Mall Seating - We came on a Sat Night around 7pm and there and it wasn't crowded. We were seated right away Ambiance - Very open and clean restaurant. Good quality tables and chairs and nicely decorated. Service - A bit slow, I'm not sure if they were just slammed though it wasn't busy? We did notice that they gave a good number of patrons some free starter dishes because everyone's food was taking a bit long, which is a nice touch Food - Not the best in San Diego by far, but enough to hit the spot with their Curry! Their garlic naan was delicious and plenty of servinges in the metal tins! Overall, decent spot if you want some indian without driving too far away from Chula Vista.

My son and I visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. It is located inside Chula Vista mall in the west side of the city. I didn't know what to expect since I don't frequent this type of food. I ordered chicken and rice while my son ordered chicken with curry I believe. I liked the food service. We will be back when in the area

Excellent first-time experience on 10/4/23. It was about noon, and we dined inside to a mostly empty restaurant. Service was prompt and polite. We ordered the lunch special, both chicken tikka masala at level 3/medium spice. She ordered a plain naan, and I went with the garlic naan. Everything was delicious! For spicy lovers like me, I'd recommend going higher on their spice scale if you want more of a kick; I'll test this out in my next visit. Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommend based on just the food and service I mentioned above.

Great flavor and portions. Ordered the Dal Tadka and Chana Masala to go. It was quickly prepared and the employee was very friendly. When ordering you can choose your spice level, the 2 was perfect for me. The best and most affordable Indian food I’ve had in San Diego. Will definitely be back!
