Tonight was my first time here. We were celebrating our anniversary tonight. I’ve been to many steakhouses before across Texas and several other places. When I say the service and food was phenomenal, it doesn’t begin to describe the experience. From initially walking in, and being seated by Michael, we had a Happy Anniversary card on our table. Then the recommendations on food and drinks provided by TJ, Ricky (our waiter) and staff, our visit was all I could hope for and much more! Drinks, wine, appetizer, steaks, and dessert. Everything was just top notch. We will be back very soon!

The experience today was phenomenal! My mother and sister celebrated their birthdays this weekend and the staff went out their way to make it very special. All the servers were professionally dressed! The food was very delicious and my family has been talking about the experience we had non stop! I absolutely loved the Divorce Papers cocktail! My steak was delicious…oh and the cake was amazing! I showed up about two hours early to drop off some balloons and someone from the staff just happened to be outside and asked could he assist me with taking the balloons into the restaurant for me. When I arrived they were set up nicely! What a wonderful experience!

Went with a party of 9. We had an amazing time. Will was our server and was great! Plus very knowledgeable about the menu. Everything had amazing flavor. Best steakhouse i’ve been to so far out of many in San Antonio.

Marcus the waiter TOP TIER! I couldn’t have asked for a better waiter. I was there celebrating my birthday 🎂 this young gentleman went above and beyond my expectations from the minute, he came to my table. Getting a late reservation had me kinda worried I would be rushed but NO Marcus ease my mind and was more than joyful to be there after closing hours celebrating with me. I felt so happy to be there you can tell he loves what he does. I was so surprised to learn he has only been there for a couple of months because he has so much knowledge of the Menu and great recommendations when telling him what you are in the mood for. Okay now for the food and drinks J-Prime is more than a 5-star restaurant the food and drinks were pure DELICIOUSNESS 🤤 😋 ! I had the BEST birthday dinner celebrating with Marcus and J-Prime 💜🥰😊!

This place a wonderful ambiance, it feels like I’m on a Royal Caribbean cruise. I enjoyed the Kebab, and it was way better than my favorite steakhouse Texas Roadhouse. Jeremy behind the bar makes the most wonderful cocktails, my favorite being Bella Gloss. The other bartender, Alexandra, was very bubbly and and is very knowledgeable about mushrooms. The other bartender was Noah. Alex the manager made sure everything was great, and personally escorted me to the bathroom. His great smile made the night! I will definitely be back for another Karraheo!

There are few restaurants that I can give 5 stars across the board. This is one of them. I took colleagues out to dinner to J-Prime and everyone had a wonderful time. I will definitely visit here again. Our server was amazing. Management is doing an impeccable job here. Do not pass up the opportunity to dine at this establishment.

From Hello… this restaurant exceeded our expectations above and beyond. By far, best steakhouse in San Antonio. We happen to be foodies and have had the pleasure to dine at some very nice steak houses. This particular restaurant paid close attention to detail. It was all those little touches and the wait staff was amazing. The food was spectacular. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone who wants fine dining with Ritz Carlton type customer service. Hands-down my favorite restaurant in San Antonio and ranks up with some of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at across the country. Thank you J-Prime for making our business dinner extra special and very memorable. This is beyond a five star review. =)

Yesterday we went to J-Prime to celebrate my 27yrs anniversary and my older son's 23rd birthday. We wanted the night to be special. Since we got there we were treated very well. We received all the great attentions that we expected. Nothing was missing: great appetizers, fine wine, great food, desserts, etc. Our waitress Alexis was awesome. He gave the extra mile on everything that he did. We never lacked utensils, water, wine, sodas, etc. Thank you Alexis and everybody at J-Prime. Definitely we will go back and recommend this restaurant. We had an unforgettable night.

We celebrated our 21st anniversary last night. The service was excellent as well as the ambiance. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the lobster Mac was very good. The steaks had too much salt for both of us but they were still good. This is why we gave the food 4 stars. Otherwise it was excellent. I also really enjoyed the bottle of wine we had. I highly recommend for a special night out.

I took my husband here for his birthday dinner and everything was amazing! We had the Australian wagyu tomahawk wrapped in 18k gold leaf, lobster Mac and cheese, and shrimp risotto. One word - delicious!! Our waiter, Alexis, was very attentive and answered all our questions regarding the menu. The manager, Miguel, ensured our first visit to J. Prime Steakhouse was perfect. Thank you for making this night so special!

My honey took me on my birthday weekend. Never been to a World Class dining establishment. This place was expensive and I understand why. Quality of service and quality of food was OUTSTANDING. I appreciate the staff and the way they give everyone there the "Gold Treatment". Definitely coming back. I encourage anyone that hasn't been to an expensive/upscale dining restaurant to dine at J-Prime. I love San Antonio and this is another reason why. I've been to Perry's Steakhouse in Downtown Austin, Manny's in Minneapolis, Truluck's in North Austin, but the level of service and attentiveness of the staff at J-Prime surpasses all. Good job and keep it up.

Came in to celebrate my birthday today and had the greatest experience. Our server, Carlos, was so considerate and offered many recommendations. Each member of the staff was so attentive. One of the managers, Raul, made it top priority to make our first time experience worthwhile. Even being so kind as to opened my chair for me when returning to my table. Don’t even get me started on the food! My lobster was served with melted butter and tasted divine. My partner’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium. Our sides of creamy potato and grilled asparagus were more than enough for two. As we were celebrating my birthday, they provided us a complimentary birthday cake that was incredibly moist. Everything here accumulated to one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had, we will definitely be returning in the future for more than just special occasions.

I would give J Prime a 20 star rating if possible! SUPREME service from booking, modifying my reservation via Open Table, to arriving early to be seated immediately. I put in the notes “birthday, chocolate cake with sparkler candles” and received far more than that, my guest was speechless! From the moment we showed up 15 minutes early to be immediately seated with a beautiful large clear balloon with LED lights, to SPECTACULAR service, to incredible menu selections (they didn’t even recommend the most expensive options) to the service, presentation, professional conversation, the keen eye for topping off drinks, to timing of each courses, to plating each meal… I can’t even put into words to express the INCREDIBLE service and am beyond speechless for the quality of each plate. We were simply blown away by the service, quality of food, keen eye to detail, and special touches with a HAND WRITTEN birthday card! I recently dined at J Prime Steakhouse and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was elegant, service impeccable, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. While it's a bit on the pricey side, the exceptional quality and accommodating menu make it well worth the splurge. Definitely a top-tier dining experience deserving of five stars!

I want to start by saying, Marcus made our entire experience absolutely perfect! He truly went ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure our anniversary was special! From start to finish we were given such a personal experience with a personalized card, everyone knowing our last name & addressing us by it, the genuine conversations, we will never forget this night! Issac also started us off with being so nice & made sure we were taken care of throughout the night! The chef treated us to a lovely special starter, the bread & butter was so awesome, our food was cooked to perfection & to end our night Marcus surprised us with the most thoughtful array of desserts! We already loved & raved about J-Prime, but now, we are obsessed! We don’t live near but we decided before our night ended we would be coming back for every important event in our life! We are so grateful for the experience & cannot wait to come back & request Marcus for another fabulous experience!

We just had one of the best dining experiences at J Prime! Food was delicious. Service was top notch. Shout out to our waiter Marco in San Antonio! The restaurant has a cozy ambiance. We picked a great place to celebrate my hubby's birthday. Will definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and J Prime did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in the service and attention was on point! Our waiter Hamilton was the best with answering all of our questions. The drinks, food and dessert were amazing!!! I definitely recommend J Prime when in the San Antonio area.

The experience at this restaurant was amazing from the moment my wife and I walked through the door. Yes pricey but so well worth it. Food was delicious and the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. Cleanliness was great the vibes were great and our waiter was knowledgeable, very informative, and made our evening extremely enjoyable. I recommend J Prime for any romantic occasion or even a birthday dinner.

Celebrated my birthday in this steakhouse last night. From the accommodating hostess to all great servers nothing you can ask for. It was indeed a great night, as we got served with delicious tomahawk which was cooked to perfect temperature with all other sides and the starters. But let me tell you, ESCARGOT is a must try here. Prices are pretty fair and totally worth it. Manager did job well too for making sure guests are being satisfied in terms of food and service. Our overall experience was definitely beautiful.

It was our 23rd Anniversary. Wow, what is celebration. Culinary excellence! Totally exceeded our expectations with every course, with the service & ambiance. Our server-Isaac excellent. He knew how to interact, great personality, he knew each place were sourced, he knew the wines & which to pair, he was also the trainer ( Samantha). We tried both hot & cold appetizers. Our favorites were tartare trio and the lobster ceviche. Recommended by Isaac! We got to try extra micro greens to decipher which plants they were. We enjoyed the lemon and sorbet palate cleanser. I don’t want to forget the lobster bisque soup & yummy sides: potatoes, bread ( to die for) & mushrooms in red wine reduction sauce. The A-5 wagyu Japanese steak was truly remarkable, we both agreed it was the best steak we had ever had. A great combination of marbling. It was so tender you didn’t need a knife, with a buttery taste. We love the duck confit!! Wow, a tasty surprise. You can see by the things that we were able to try how high end this restaurant is. Definitely for someone who appreciates high end dining & culinary!! We also tried the lobster- didn’t disappoint. For dessert bananas flambé. We love the showmanship & expert execution. The coffee, after dinner drink ( like a milkshake) & finally the carrot cake. We were savoring & enjoying every minute and 4.5 hours passed. Thank you also to the J Prime staff for making our tables so special by adding fresh petals to longstem roses and a happy anniversary card. This was truly an amazing experience.
